Chapter 58: Tacked Up

Yoongi.

Again.

Your heart jumped in your throat as you accepted the call with shaky hands.

You just prayed that this time, he wouldn't hang up.

"O-oppa?"

You said it quietly, this time well aware that he was probably being watched.

But all you could hear through your phone speaker was heavy breathing.

He was panting.

He sounded as if he was sucking in long, shuddering breaths that were desperately trying to escape him.

"Y/N...."

It was barely louder than a whisper, and his voice scratched as he forced himself to speak.

You didn't say anything back, waiting for him to continue. Your face had turned a pale white, your skin suddenly clammy and cold.

"P-please find me... trace the phone... I can't-"

He stopped abruptly, but didn't hang up.

He stopped panting, and for a moment, it was deathly silent.

Then you heard sound.

It began suddenly, and it sounded as if he were fumbling with something.

Groaning, he started speaking again, this time rushed, impatient. He was in pain.

"I... I know you're Blackrose, Y/N."

What?

How...

How did he find out?

How did he know?

How long has he known?

You bit your lip, still not replying.

But Yoongi suddenly seemed afraid, and his change in tone told you as much as he cursed over the phone.

"Just- just come! Now--" another grimace before, "-- crap, he's coming- Y/N help-"

And just like that, he was gone.

Your phone nearly slipped from your hands, and your eyes were wide open, bloodshot.

And for the first time since Hyerin was killed, a salty, despair-filled drop of warm liquid escaped your eye.

You were scared.

Scared for him.

Sorry.

Sorry for not being able to protect him.

Protect him, Y/N.

Right.

Protect him.

You need to protect him!

"P-please find me- trace the phone..."

All of a sudden, your body kicked into action. You ran back over to the boys, grabbing your purse that was sitting on the picnic rug.

Namjoon frowned and grabbed your wrist, stopping you from leaving. "Wait- where are you going?"

Then Taehyung. "Are- are you.... crying?"

No one had seen you cry except Taehyung. But even he knew you never cried.

Unless someone you loved had... died.

You quickly wiped the tear off your cheek, sniffing before gently removing Namjoon's hand from your wrist.

"Yoongi oppa..." Your voice was quiet, solemn. Their eyes widened, and Jin jumped to his feet.

"What-"

But you turned and ran.

You didn't explain, because you couldn't.

You'd explain when Yoongi was back, safe and sound.

They shouted after you, but you didn't look back.

Instead, you shouted over your shoulder. "Don't follow me, I promise I'll bring him back soon!"

You jumped in your car, glancing out the window at the boys that were now all on their feet.

Jin had run after you, but stopped about 15 meters from your car.

He just stared at you, tears brimming in his eyes.

You gave him a sorry look. You didn't want to be like this, you didn't want to leave them so suddenly.

But what else could you do? It was too dangerous, and your identity would be exposed...

You bit your lip.

There's no way they won't follow me.

So you did the only thing you could think of.

You turned your phone location off.

Then, without a second thought, you sped off towards the warehouse,  ringing Jisoo to tell her the news as you drove.

Once more, you raced through the corridors of the building, rushing towards your office where you knew Blackpink would be waiting for you.

You had already decided.

This would be no stealth mission.

You would be getting Yoongi back. And now that you had an idea of what a broken condition he was in, you weren't about to be quiet about it.

You were going to destroy OSH.

The moment you entered the room, the girls' heads snapped towards you.

You didn't wait for them ask questions..

"Unnie, I need to you trace this phone call now," you said, throwing your phone on the desk in front of her. "Lisa, gather our men. Everyone who's available right now. Get them prepped, we'll meet you in the weapons room."

Lisa nodded, and immediately left the room. Jisoo quickly grabbed your phone, and went to leave as well.

You grabbed her wrist before she could go. "How long will it take?"

She thought for a moment, then replied, "10 minutes if I'm quick."

You nodded, and let her go. "I'll come find you in a minute."

You knew that all present in the room were aware of the serious situation. Nobody spoke back or questioned you.

You assumed Jisoo had already relayed the information you had given her over the phone.

Jennie and Rosie were left in the room, not letting their eyes leave you for a moment.

And when you looked into their eyes, you saw... yourself.

Fearless, brave, determined.

Angry, frustrated.

Worried.

You knew they had your back. You knew they'd support your every decision. You knew they were for you, not against you.

And you were relieved.

Relieved you had people you could trust.

"You guys can come with me. Let's get our gear and head to the weapon's room."

They followed you out, and not another word was spoken until you arrived.

Arrays of guns, knives, batons, and every other weapon you could think of lined the walls of the room, organised neatly on glowing shelves.

Everything was right where you needed it, whenever you needed it.

However, you had made sure that only your trusted personnel had access to this room. Only you, Blackpink, and a few other 'commanders' had the keycard to the room.

You couldn't risk scum like Suho getting in here.

Along with Rosie and Jennie, you immediately headed towards the guns.

Your guns were separate from the others, as you had had them customised with your insignia. They were fitted to your liking, and you had trained with them ever since the Taehyung had been diagnosed with amnesia (you had had them customised much later on).

You grabbed your combat gear from the locker sitting next to your shelf, quickly walking into a nearby changeroom to throw them on.

When you emerged from the changeroom, you were clad head to toe in black leather, a black utility belt slung loosely around your waist, fit with a holster for your pistol and room for bullets, knives, and an assortment of other small weapons that would serve you handy in one-on-one combat.

You pulled on your boots, and fitted a silencer to your gun. Heading out, you found Rosie and Jennie doing the same. "Alright. I'm going to find Jisoo unnie, you guys wait here and help Lisa get the men ready when she gets here."

They nodded, and without another word, you headed out to find Jisoo.

Let's find out where OSH is and end this once and for all.

[A/N]

Hi guys.... sorry for the late update. I know I keep apologising, but trust me, I'm doing my best. I'm buried down in assessments right now, so I'm struggling to find time to write. My aim is to update next week, but I apologise in advance if I can't. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and please don't mind any grammatical mistakes or typos.

Thanks and see you next time,
