Chapter 22: Pizza...?

"PIZZA'S HERE!!" Jimin called, cutting through the screams and shouting echoing throughout the house.

Time stopped.

You were hovering above Taehyung, his collar clenched tight in your fists while his hands were tangled roughly in your hair as he had tried to rip it out.

You were previously engaged in tearing him into pieces because he had unveiled one of your deepest, darkest secrets.

Your twin, the one whom your trusted more than yourself, had shared something so personal to you that you were currently trying to rip his thorax out.

Not seriously, of course. Just.....

You couldn't believe he'd betrayed you like this.

You know he was mad at you, but you didn't think he'd stoop this low.

Taehyung had opened the dam walls and your dignity had come rushing out.

And the boys?

They'd laughed.

How dare they.

But what had he shared that was so utterly humiliating for you and signified the ultimate betrayal?

...

...

...

He had told them about your imaginary boyfriend.

Yes, that may be a stupid reason to strangle him, but what can you say?

You were childish and petty, and proud of it.

And yes... you used to have an imaginary boyfriend.

When you were 6.

But Taehyung hadn't stopped there.

He'd gone on to tell them (while you were standing in front of him and desperately trying to cover his mouth with your hands as Jungkook and Namjoon - Namjoon, who doesn't usually engage in these childish activities - wrenched you away from him, wanting to hear the rest) about all the things you did with you imaginary boyfriend.

You did a lot of things with your imaginary boyfriend.

And of course the boys had wanted to hear every detail. It wasn't often you were embarrassed like this in front of them.

And, as the best friends they were, they wouldn't miss that opportunity in a lifetime.

So, they found out that you used to hug your pillow at night, talking to your "imaginary boyfriend" out loud as if he was really there.

They now knew how you walked through parks when you were little, talking to the air, laughing unprovoked, completely consumed in your non-existent conversation with your "imaginary boyfriend".

They knew how you used to cry at night if Aunty told you your "imaginary boyfriend" wasn't allowed to sleep with you because you were sick.

They knew that your ex-"imaginary boyfriend"'s name was.... Park Hyung Sik.

Yeah.

That's how bad it was.

Oh, and just before you forget.... yeah, you were 6.

Therefore, you believed you had every right at the moment to strangle him to death.

He was lucky that the pizza arrived.

That pizza was his saving grace....

Everyone had collectively jumped up from their positions, "PIZZA!!" erupting from the throats of famished warriors like a war-cry.

Hoseok and Yoongi still hadn't arrived yet.... everyone was wondering whether they were actually coming or where they were.

They had confirmed over text that they would be coming.... at least, Yoongi had.

However, earlier, you had heard Jin talking to Namjoon, saying that he wouldn't be surprised if Yoongi didn't show up.

But no one knew what happened to Hoseok, or where he was.

That's why, when Taehyung threw open the door to welcome the delivery man, he visibly buffered when he found Hoseok standing there.

Hoseok, who certainly wasn't the pizza delivery man.

"Hyung?"

Hoseok gave a faint smile and small hug to Taehyung, walking straight inside.

"Hi guys...." he glanced around, then frowned. "Where's Yoongi hyung?"

Everyone paused for a moment, soaking in that Hoseok, who had disappeared off the face of the earth for the past week, was standing right here in front of them.

Namjoon was the first to come to terms with reality.

He just looked at Hoseok, folding his arms. "First thing's first, and I'm sure everyone here will agree with me.... where the heck have you been? Like, for the whole week? And why didn't you tell someone?"

The questions hung in the air, and were eventually approached by a sceptical Hoseok.

"Well, you see, I actually- well I forgot to tell anyone, and- yeah..." he finished weakly. You looked at him blankly, wondering what he was so afraid to tell you.

However, you just walked up to him, and placed your hands gently on his arms, looking him in the eyes.

"Oppa, if there's something that's going on at home, or something's wrong, please don't hide it from us. We care about you so much and you're confusing and concerning everyone right now. You have no idea how worried we were when you didn't turn up to school," you said softly, as if scared to spook a skittish rabbit.

You saw him bite his lip nervously, and then he sighed.

"Well.... my noona's just a bit... stressed.... at the moment, that's all. And I've desperately been trying to find a job so I can take a little of the load." He paused, then smiled. "But no worries, I'm sure it'll be fine. Anyway, come on, I missed half the fun already, and I'm dying to hang out with everyone again!"

You smiled at him, relieved that it wasn't something life threatening- no, more specifically, OSH-related.

***

Everyone was seated comfortably on the couches, some laying, some sitting. You were simply content; soaking in the conversation as you waited for the pizza.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the doorbell rang.

This time Jungkook got up from his seat, muttering, "This better be the damn pizza. I'm so freaking hungry."

You let out a small giggle as he walked pass you, which caught his attention. He met your eyes for a moment before winking and continuing towards the door.

You sent a flying kiss towards his back.

"A- what the heck!"

You squeaked and jumped slightly as you felt a sharp elbow jab into your side.

Jin.

"That's my thing, you stealer-er," he hissed.

You just looked at him blankly before saying, "Whatever, oppa," you sneered, watching as his eyes widened at your informal language, putting on his classic 'surprised' face. Then you smiled warmly at him, and held the expression until he smiled with you.

And then Jungkook opened the door.

Everyone turned towards him.

Everyone stopped.

Then, the glorious, magnificent, enticing smell of the pizza wafted up into your nostrils.

A collective sigh of satisfaction floated through the air, before people began rising from the comfort of the couch.

You all walked mindlessly like zombies to the table, where Jungkook placed the pizzas after thanking the delivery man.

Sitting down, you stared at the pizza boxes (which were closed), slightly drooling over the mouth-watering smell.

I didn't realise how hungry I really was.

Then, a buzz in your pocket.

Your phone.

No.

No, I'm not checking it. I don't care if it's important, I just want food.

Luckily, your phone didn't continue to buzz.

That means it was just a text.

If something's really important, someone would call you.

You sighed inwardly, slightly relieved.

But in that short moment, you didn't even realise that the boys had begun to eat, and were absolutely demolishing the pizza.

So when you looked up, your gaze fell directly on Jungkook.

He had a piece of pizza in each hand, and was currently focused on peeling the toppings off with his teeth.

His eyes met yours, and he froze.

It was quite funny, actually. Stringy cheese was hanging from his mouth as he leant over his plate, his hand suspended in the air with his elbow jutting out at a funny angle.

His eyes were wide, and looked as if he had been caught red-handed.

In a way, I guess, he has been.

However, you turned from 'peacefully-admiring' him to panic in an instant.

I need food. It's going to be all gone if I don't start eating soon.

So you paid no more attention to Jungkook, instantly diving into the pizza like your life depended on it.

There was not much conversation at dinner; everyone was eating in a comfortable silence. Hoseok (and Jungkook, of course), ate the most out of everyone, and managed to down dessert as well.

Once everyone had finished, you slumped back in your chair, letting out a small burp as you undid the first button on your jeans, sighing as you laid your head back against the chair.

Gosh, I ate way too much.

Then, in the silence, you heard Taehyung's voice.

"Hey.... after dinner, you guys wanna play a game?"

You all looked up at him, giving him confirmation that he had your attention.

"What game?" Jimin asked.

Taehyung gave an evil little smirk.

"Truth or dare."

Okay!!!! Don't kill me!!! I know it's really cliché but I have had a plan for the next chapter for a while and I'm gonna try not to make it really cringy! I'm gonna try and make it interesting, and I'm sorry this chapter was really bad. I hope you're not getting bored while reading. I just need more filler chapters before getting to the juicy parts so there's a bit more story and character development, you know? Anyway, please leave comments below and let me know if you're enjoying it or not, I would really appreciate it!
