Dabi POV

I'm glad that I dropped the tournament. I'm mean, sure I wanna fight others, but like it's bound to make personal problems. Anyways the people already know that I am good, and I can fight. It's just, I don't want to fight in front of certain 'people' in this audience.

I don't even know why he's here! He has no business in being here at all and he never came here before. The worst case scenario is that he picks me in the internships and we have to work and be in the same building together. Ugh. The thought shakes me to the core. He might even find out who I am if still he has a brain.

But that'll happen over my dead rotting body. I wanna try avoid him as much as I can and NOT, even if I need to, chat to him. He comes to talk to me, I'll be running and he'll just have to eat my dust.

Anyways it's the final fight, Usagiyama vs Keigo. Usagiyama has a great chance of winning, but Keigo's feathers might make it hard for her to stay grounded. So it's an equal chance. They're fighting right now actually, but so far there isn't any damage.

Anyways this tournament has been a twitter of hate. These heroes have such high expectations for us that they get angry if we're not perfect. If this is the case, I hope they don't have kids at all, otherwise they'll be a whole lot of me roaming around Musutafu. Heh, the whole of Japan even. I might even start a club.

Anyways, back to the fight, Kiego takes the chance to fly Usagiyama in the air using an impressive wind force and drops her but she lands on her legs. Damn, she might as well be a cat than a rabbit. Soon they both go into a spar.

There's a lot of combat involved in this years Sports Festival. I guess this is the year of the mutants and transformers since there's a lot more of them than emitters.

Speaking of an emitter, I wonder how Shimura is doing?

That looked like a nasty shoulder injury, even from up here. He's the second person in this tournament who got an injury, but the only person people actually care about who got an injury.

But, weirdly I'm proud of him. He stood up for Usagiyama by clapping his heart out, signaling others out of their trances to join him and didn't care that it was awfully awkward and strange. It might not be MY effect on him, but it is AN effect.

Oh, wait, for middle school friends, Keigo and Usagiyama are really going neck to neck. There's a lot of dodging and attacking and fleeing and distracting. There's the whole lot in this fight. Honestly, they might go overtime.

Suddenly Mic's voice booms "OOOHHH! Our winner is... RUMI USAGIYAMA!!!!". Heh?

The TV then shows Keigo accidentally fly inches out the circle, while rubbing his eyes and then going back in. Oh, well that concept is a bit stupid now, isn't it. I mean, in reality the whole idea of this circle is inaccurate, because heroes, if they ever get into this situation, don't really use a limited amount of space to fight and almost always break those limits.

He lands and gives Usagiyama a hug. Suddenly, they were shooed away by Midnight and Cementoss creates three platforms, the middle was high, the right was low and the left was in between.

"May the other two competitors from the semifinals join first and second place in the arena." Eraser's tired voice says. Honestly, an interesting choice of a presenter.

Kanji and Kanashii-san head down quickly and when they arrive they are helped onto the third place platform. Usagiyama jumps to the first place platform and Keigo flies to the other.

They all stand as Mic finally announces "In joint third place, Kanji Kubo and Ahma Kanashii!". The audience cheer for them as they smile.

He then yells out "In second place, we have... Keigo Takami!!!". Keigo waves around as the audience cheer.

Finally he screams "In First Place, we have... Rumi Usagiyama!!!". The crowd, funnily enough, cheers its loudest as she looks around excitedly.

"And with that, this is the UA First Year Sports Festival signing off! Thank you to all First Years and our audience!!!" He booms into the speakers.

Ahh, the end, finally. Me and the rest of my class stand up and leave in unison. We know where we are all going.

Shimura POV

"You seemed to have displaced a minor bone in your shoulder" Recovery Girl informs me "If you were treated by other doctors, you would have had to wait minimum six weeks for a recovery, however I managed to shorten that in two days".

I'm in her clinic right now. It's a lot like offer doctors' clinics that you go to when you want to find out your quirk. The beds are surprisingly comfy than they look, like I might just sleep here.

I say in amazement "Wow, Thank you ma'am".

She puts her mouth straight and says "Be careful, okay?". I nod vigorously in reply and she nods, then she rolls away in her chair to her desk.

I have known Recovery Girl ever since I was little. She's practically Dad's personal Doctor and basically my own quirk doctor. It feels so nostalgic to be back at her clinic because I haven't seen her in years!

I look out a window and notice that the festival is done. People were clearing out, Cementoss was cleaning up and Midnight was talking to a few students. I hope I could know whoever won.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. It is out of my vision, so when Recovery Girl went to get it I only heard familiar voices.

"Hello?" I hear Recovery Girl ask.

A voice says "Can we visit him please?". Me? Why me?

"All of you? I'm afraid-" "Please, ma'am?" A different voice interrupts her. More than one?

There were seconds of silence before a whole group pleads in unison "PLEASE??". A whole group?

She sighs "Fine, I'll allow it". I wonder who it is...

Suddenly, Dabi's head peeks out and is followed by the rest of 1a. What!? I thought they'd be on the way home instead of here!!

They all crowd my bed and all ask about me.

"Are you okay, Shimura-san!?" Kanji-kun says worriedly.

"Yup" I say quickly before the others could ask me that again in a more passive aggressive tone.

"That must've been a nasty pain" Miran-san exclaims pointing to my bandage.

"I literally felt the crack from up there!!"

"We were soo worried for you!!!"

"I'm fine you lot!" I warn them but I think they're ignoring me because they keep on asking questions.

Finally, shutting them all up, Usagiyama scolds me "What were was your stupid head thinking when you decided to do that shoulder trick!?!?". They all then simultaneously look at me for my answer.

"I thought I could do it..." I say nervously. It's true though! When I graduated my dance acrobatic classes, I was able to lift anyone in the class on my shoulders and catch them with them if they jump. However, I guess that was back when I was 14...

Shun-kun then yells at me really quickly "Butda-What do you mean!? How can-How can anyone do that without a quirk to help them!??!". Realistically, we all practically heard hyphens between each word. He does that sometimes.

I was about to comfort him but then Kanashii-kun whispers loudly and a bit tearful "We were all so worried, and thought something really bad happened!!!". Oh no! Kanashii is the person you never want to see tearful. She's too sweet for that.

Before I could comfort her, Domeki-san exclaims, oddly happily, "Were you pretending to be an acrobat!? Ooo! Can I be a tightrope walker!?".

Note to self, never be injured in front of my class.

"Quiet" Dabi says loudly, shutting them all up. He points to Shun-kun and says "You need to drop the sugar," then to Domeki-san "You need to drop the role play" and lastly to Kanashii-kun, but a bit more softly, "And you need to get it together".

He then turns to me to say "As long as you're okay, we're ALL good" and I nod to him in reply. Thank god he smacked sense into them. They were soo worried. Too worried even.

Then, Usagiyama continues to scold me "Why did you 'wait' for me and tried to lift my spirits!? We were in a fight! You should've just beated me".

"Well, I didn't want to use your depression as an advantage" I say trying to make it normalised. It would be so embarrassing to say 'I wanted to fight the real you'. I'm already embarrassed because of the clapping thing I did in front of all those people. Oh my gosh, don't remind me of that!

Usagiyama looks at me in pure confusion along with everyone else and Dabi translates her confusion indirectly by sighing "Why the f*ck is everyone thinking advantages are bad? And why the f*ck are people scared to use them!?!".

"Language in the clinic" Recovery Girl states in a serious tone and Dabi nods to her in a apologetic way.

"Okay, everyone just relax!" I stop any more comments as I put my hands up, "I am okay! Recovery Girl said herself that I will be fully healed in the next two days. She can work wonders".

That's a phrase for heroes who's been under her care. 'Recovery Girl can work wonders' because everyone is always satisfied with their care. Dad says it a LOT.

Suddenly, a dull voice says "That's true.".

Everyone gets out the way and turns around. It was Aizawa Sensei! I really didn't at all expect a visit from him. His arms were crossed and he looks at all of us in a whole.

He then walks to the middle of the crowd and turns to Kanashii-san "Congratulations on third, I understand that you're quirk wasn't ideal for getting a top rank but you utilised it for your place". She smiles, nods and blushes in embarrassment.

He then goes to Kanji-kun "You too, however you need to know how to use your bear abilities as human attacks, not bear attacks" and he smiles awkwardly and nods

Sensei goes to me next "Although I didn't appreciate your second battle, the first had impressed me a bit". I do the same as Kanji, this time I scratch my neck, and he moves on.

He goes around to Keigo "Congratulations on second place, you did really well and managed to keep up with your opponents, however you allowed a small stupid mistake to happen". Oh my god, Keigo came second! That's soo good!!

He finally turns to Usagiyama and tells her "Congratulations on first, you chose aggressive play but it worked out just fine. All you need to do is to keep spirits up seeing that's what's keeping you going". Usagiyama came first!!!? Oh my god!

I quickly congratulate them "Well done you guys!! I had no idea what was happening outside this room!!".

They all smile and Keigo says "Thanks bro!".

But then Sensei puts his finger up and turns slowly while complaining "Dabi, I have problems with you". His finger ends up pointing to Dabi. What now?

He smiles and cheerfully answers with the utmost sarcasm, "Oh, of course you do, Eraser, of course you do".

Sensei asks fed up "Why didn't you, with the best attack quirk in the year, do the tournament? Pray tell".

"I didn't want to" Dabi shrugs. I swear this guy has some serious issues when it comes to teachers, authority even.

Sensei sighs, and demands everyone "Everyone just go home now. We don't anyone to be locked up here.". He then shoos everyone out as they groan and say their regards to me.

He turns back to me as soon as they left "All might asked me to drop you off at home because he had a meeting, he'll probably be back the minute we arrive but he still asked".

Oh god no, I can't believe he did that. I could've just gone by myself. I don't want to be in a car with my teacher, with only silence to keep me sane.

I quickly decline "No, I'm sure I can just get a bus!".

He raises his eyebrows and asks "You have your bus card?". Oh... forgot about that.

"No..." I say and he just helps me up and leads me out.

We go out the exit and I spot Dabi there. I go up to him and ask "What are you doing here Dabi?".

He looks at me with a smile but drops it when he sees Sensei "I was actually waiting for you, since I've noticed that you live pretty close to where I do". Oh, I do?

"Well why haven't you said anything sooner?!" I scoff happily "We could be walking buddies".

He shrugs and Sensei steps in "Well if that's the case, I can drop you both off". Yes, that's an amazing idea!

I look to Dabi, who awkwardly looks back at me, and mouths him to say yes. This'll make this trip less awkward. Even though Dabi is probably not gonna talk the whole time, but anything is better than being in a car alone with your teacher.

Sensei sighs behind me, getting the message, "Get in boys, long drive".

...

I have not thought this through. We drive up on my street and I scratch my neck nervously. Dabi doesn't know what type of house I live in, does he? He's looking around shocked and confused. His eyes are practicing gaping at the other houses and the scenery.

He looks at me a few times and suddenly we stop.

Our house is a BIT bigger than average size. For a modern mansion. But where else would you expect No.1 Hero, All might, to live? Sensei parks outside of the gates and turns back to us "This is the stop, Dabi do you want me to drop you off as well?".

Dabi shakes his head, still shook, and replies "I know my way home from this street...".

Sensei nods and we both get out. He stands next to me and his eyes gaze up. It's not that big... only four floors including the basement. The gates open, thanks to facial recognition, but we don't enter.

"Y'know this is the rich street" Dabi finally says.

I nod, this is not how I want him to know. Behind us Sensei informs "Looks like your Dad is here, I'll be leaving." and he just drives off without a bye.

We look at his car as it drives off and turn in unison to see him running over. It's intimidating, yes, to see someone with my Dad's height and shape running towards you, even with a smile. But he wasn't smiling, he was worried. Which made it worse.

He arrives and pulls me in for a hug "Eraserhead told me what happened!! Are you okay?!".

I laugh "Yeah, yeah, Recovery Girl works wonders!". He lets me go and smiles but turns to Dabi, confused.

Dabi's eyes are wide open looking at my Dad like he was the most craziest thing he's ever seen. He looks at him then me a few times and opens his mouth a bit. He must be finding out how we are related.

"All might adopted me when I was little" I quickly say to save him.

"Ohh..." he nods, his eyes still looking dumbfounded.

Dad then asks me "Is this a friend Shimura?" looking at us excitedly. Oh god, he's gonna invite him over.

I nod "Yeah, his name is Dabi".

"Oh yes, your the mysterious kid from the entrance exam!"

Dabi nods "Yep, that's me" calming down a bit.

"Well, come in! You boys can hangout for a bit!" All might exclaims leading Dabi in by pushing him "You're welcomed in here!!!".
