A Bully's Romance
Chapter 4

"It was... great.", I lied with a fake smile.

I went up to my room and locked it close behind me. I laid down on my bed and dug my face into my pillow. I wet my pillow with tears that flowed down my cheeks like a waterfall.

Only my pillow knows my tears...

I went to wash my face before eating dinner. I didn't want my parents to notice that I was crying.

Oh no, now my eyes are so puffy and red. What should I do? Should I just act sick and say I'm not hungry? That way I won't have to have my puffy eyes revealed.

"Dinner time sweetie!", my mom called from the kitchen.

"I'm sorry mom, I feel sick, I'm not hungry.", I replied with a few acted coughs.

"Oh no, I'll come up later with some congee"

"No mom, it's okay. I'm really not hungry. I'd rather sleep early today so that I still can go to school tomorrow."

"Okay sweetie, whatever you want. Sleep well, I hope you get well soon."

I stretched. I was very excited for school today because we have maths and I love maths. Well, I was excited until I remembered that I'll see Mark again. I hope I won't see anyone of the six of them in maths class.

As soon as I reached the school building, I ran to the classroom hoping not to see them on the way.

Luckily, I didn't meet any of them. I let out a sigh of relief. I was the very first to arrive at the classroom. The other students arrived soon, not all yet though. Then, the teacher entered. Right before class was to start, someone rushed into the classroom.

"You're late as always", the teacher said.

But other than that sentence, nothing was said. There was just total silence. I wondered why and looked up to see a male student coming my way. My jaw dropped.

Why does it have to be him?
