Chapter 14

"Hello Mr. Kim, I'm Guanlin, is Minjun here?"

I fell off the chair.

"Why is that brat here?". I frowned.

"I heard that!", Guanlin called.

"Sweetie, you shouldn't call my future son-in-law a brat.", my mom explained.

"Mom! Forget about it, he'll never become your son-in-law!"

"Oh yeah... 'cause there is this Joshua...", Guanlin murmured.

"What did you just say??", I shouted.

I stood up because I was still on the floor and stomped to the door.

"Seriously, what do you want here?", I said, very annoyed and rolled my eyes.

"Nothing, just wanted to come see your house."

I sighed. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him into my room.

{Guanlin's POV}

She grabbed my wrist. My eyes rounded and my cheeks reddened by surprise. She brought me into her room and locked the door behind her. She slid down to the floor to sit down and leaned her back against the door.

"Can you please answer me now? Why are you seriously here??"

"Well, as friends I wanted to ask if you would like to come to Starbucks with me tomorrow afternoon?"

"Who ever said that we are friends?"

"Ah~ come on. We always bicker around as if we're best friends."

"I guess you're kinda right", she replied and gave me a smile that made my heart melt immediately.

"Are you coming with me tomorrow?"

"I'm sorry but I'm already seeing someone else tomorrow."

"Who is it? Joshua?"

"No."

Oh my god seriously?? Who else would she meet other than Joshua?...

"It's Mark...", she replied and pressed her lips together.

"What?? Mark?? Stop joking!"

"I'm not joking. It's true."

"I can't believe it... are you crazy?"

"I guess so... Let's meet next weekend."

"Fine, whatever..." I was angry and sad at the same time.

"Okay, see you at school."

"Yeah, see ya." With that, I left.

It was 1:55pm, which means that Mark's gonna pick me up in 5 minutes. Dressed up as June, I went downstairs to wait for Mark. Right when it was 2:00pm, Mark arrived.

Is... is he really Mark?

My heart raced.

"Hey June." Mark smiled.

My heart, it should stop beating so fast! But his smile was so beautiful. I've never seen him smile before.

"Hi." I got very shy.

What's happening to me?

What I didn't realize, was that Mark was slowly creeping into my heart.

"Should we go?"

"Sure... le... let's go...", I stuttered and mentally slapped myself for being like that.

So he brought me to Starbucks and we ordered our coffee.

"You also got caramel macchiato?", Mark asked.

"Yeah, it's my favorite." And I put on a sheepish grin.

{Mark's POV}

"Yeah, it's my favorite." And June put on a sheepish grin.

"Cute.", I thought loudly.

"Mark, what did you say?", she looked at me with her innocent eyes. They look like... they look like Minjun's eyes...

I stared at her and couldn't get my eyes off her.

Seriously, she resembles Minjun so much.

"Mark, is something wrong? You're expression is so blank."

"No, nothing's wrong, everything's okay."

After drinking the caramel macchiato, I brought June back home.

"Are you coming to school tomorrow?"

"I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'll come, but bye for now." June waved me goodbye with a smile. My face turned red, as red as a tomato. I covered my face.

"Bye June." Still covering my face with my hands.

I started heading home. But I met someone on the way...
