155. Aromatherapy

155. Aromatherapy: Write about scents you just absolutely love.

Old paper. Crinkling and musky, like a thousand years could be trapped within their grain.

Vanilla. Sweet and subtle, but infiltrating my nostrils every time I inhale.

Wood. Clean and deep, settling deep into my nose and relaxing every sense.

A newborn's head. Pure and sharp, a scent that came from Heaven.

Peppermint. Lovely and slamming, that invigorates the taste buds as well as the nose.

Chicken feed. Earthy and whole, reminiscent of the country and the simple life there.

Comfort. Warm and safe, that smells of chicken noodle soup and Mom's hugs.

Fried food. Irresistible and happy, that wakes the beast that is my stomach up with a mighty growl.

Chocolate cake. Familiar and tasty, so strong with anticipation it is worth the wait for the smell.

Him. Loved and beloved, of the earth and sweat and work, but also of nobility and honor.

A/N: Hey, everyone, so I will be leaving tomorrow for a 4-day camp. There is no technology allowed (*le gasp*) so for the first time since we started this, I will be unable to update this every day. However, I don't want to break my streak of writing something every day, so I'll bring a notebook and pen and jot down the prompts. I don't look at the prompts before I start to write, so it might be easier to have some heads up about what I'll be writing. Thanks for your support and there will be four updates when I get back! 😊
