Wait, What?

Annabeth

I stared at the girl as she pulled out a boomerang-shaped thing with strange writing on it, out of her bag. She muttered something and I watched in amazement as Mrs. O'Leary's wound sealed up and disappeared like magic.

"Are you a demigod?" I asked, hands on my hips. She looked up at me, confused, and said,

"No... I'm a magician."

"Hmmm, well, thanks for saving my dog. Tyson, please take Mrs. O'Leary home. I know she's better but I would really appreciate it. Besides, maybe she can help me," I ordered, pointing to camp. Tyson hung his head and walked off, Mrs. O'Leary following behind.

"What's your name?" I asked after they were out of sight.

"I'm Sadie Kane. Who are you?" she answered, standing up and looking me up and down.

"I'm Annabeth Chase. Are you as good as fighting with that magic as you are with healing?" I smirked, holding out my hand for a shake.

"I bet I could take you on," she shot back, taking my hand.

"Oh, you wouldn't be fighting me. You'd be fighting something a lot more difficult," I responded, gesturing for her to follow me. We walked out of the train station and walked down the road. We were close to the ocean and so we headed down that way. I found a hose so I turned it on and made a rainbow. Then I threw a gold drachma in and said,

"Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering."

The other side then showed Percy's cabin. He was sitting on his bunk eating chips.

"Hey, Percy!" I called startling him.

"Wassup Annabeth? Who's that with you?" he asked, after picking up a couple chips.

"Oh, this is Sadie. But that's not why I called you. We're gonna go fight a sea serpent and I was wondering if you could come help us," I said.

"Oh, uh sure. Where are you?" he asked.

"We're over by the bay that holds the Statue of Liberty," I answered. "I got to go, the mortals are looking at me weird. Bye!"
