After Amos told us to stay away from Manhattan obviously Carter was all like 

"Stay here it's safer."

But I wanted to see what he meant by 'other gods' so I snuck out while Carter's back was turned. I grabbed money, a snack, and my staff and wand. I went to the nearest subway and got on the next train. As I rode I thought about what other gods there could possibly be. There were the Roman gods, Greek gods, Hindu gods, and so many others I knew I wouldn't be able to guess. After I reached Manhattan, I stepped off of the train and was immediately greeted by a blond girl with a dagger talking to some large dog and a guy with one eye.

"Tyson, you need to take Mrs. O'Leary back to camp. There's something going on here but you need to go back," the girl insisted, waving her dagger. 

"But Annabeth can't fight the monster alone! Tyson help!" The guy, Tyson I guess, protested.

"No, Tyson, go back to camp. If it makes you feel better you can send Percy my way or come back. But you have to take Mrs. O'Leary home! She's injured and needs help," as Annabeth said that I noticed that the dog was bleeding from her front leg.

For some reason, I wanted to help. I'm usually not a sentimental person but this dog needed help and I actually kind of like dogs. 

"Hey! I called, walking across the station platform to them. "I think I can help with that injury." All three turned to stare at me, Tyson and Annabeth looked like I had just appeared on a flying boat, while Mrs. O'Leary tried to stand up and give me a lick.
