Jungkook and I were sitting on his bed, feeling hungover after another night of drinking.

"Why have you been so distant lately?" I asked him, watching as he stared at the wall.

"I'm not," he replied.

"You have been. It's been over a week now. What's going on?" Jungkook sighed. "I just feel down."

"Why?" I questioned.

"Because I feel worthless. What do I have?" he lamented.

I frowned. "Me."

"Yeah, you. You who I don't even deserve," he said, as he began to roll a joint.

"Come on, Jungkook. I thought we were over this. You need to snap out of it. We're going back to school in a few days. Summer is over. Partying, drinking, and smoking this much over summer probably hasn't done us any good, but it's time to get back to normal now, okay?"

Jungkook groaned. "I don't know if there's any point in me coming back to school."

"What? Why?" I asked.

"Because I won't pass my A-levels," he shrugged.

"Of course, you will. Why are you being so negative?" I asked, feeling my patience wearing thin with his lack of self-worth for weeks on end now.

He stood up. "I'm not being negative," he snapped, before storming out of the bedroom with his rolled joint.
