The sound of the hospital machines beeping pierced my ears as my eyes adjusted to the unbearably bright lights once more. I tried to move my arm to shield my eyes but realised I was connected to a drip at the side of the bed.
I groaned.
And then I heard familiar voices from the other side of the closed door. I lay still and concentrated, attempting to hear what was being said. "What the fuck are you actually doing here?" Taehyung snapped.
I almost jumped at the sound of his soft voice swearing in such a harsh tone. "Pipe the fuck down and stop swearing, it doesn't suit you." I heard Jungkook snap back. "This is your fault." Taehyung 's voice was harsh. "My fault? Why the fuck would it be my fault?" "You've messed with her for months. You can't just let her be, can you?" Taehyung 's voice was angry and frantic. "Leave her be? So she's open for you? News flash, you utter dick, she's always had options and you've always tried embarrassingly hard, and she still doesn't want you." Jungkook 's voice was equally as angry at Taehyung 's. "You just always have to be -" Thankfully, I heard my mum cut them off. "Come on, you two. Is it really the time?" My mum swung the door open and the two boys who looked completely lost followed her in.
My mum barely made eye contact with me. "I'm just dropping stuff in. I have to speak to a doctor. Excuse me." She rushed back out of the room and left the two boys stood staring at me.
They continued to stare at me with concerned expressions. "Get out. I don't want you here." I said. "Jisoo -" They both said simultaneously but I cut them off.
"No. Get out. Now!" I yelled. They gave each other a concerned expression before leaving the hospital room.
I was under the impression that Jungkook and Taehyung had left, but a few minutes later I heard their voices outside the door again. "I don't actually think it's your fault." Taehyung said in his usual soft voice.
I heard Jungkook scoff. "Well, it probably is." "It's not." Taehyung assured him. "I think Jisoo just struggles with her emotions. They're too much for her." I covered my mouth and silently sobbed.
