A few months later, Kaleb had been able to earn seven hundred dollars and even more.

The two boys were ecstatic about what was going to happen. They left their homes with the mindset that that day was going to be a pivotal moment in their lives. For the most part that was true,but little did Kaleb know that the day would end his dreams.

They clad themselves in their finest outfits and announced to their family members including Laila, to watch out for the future superstars.

When they got to the studio,they offered their money and started their recordings as artistes.

While on a short break Kaleb went out to buy food. As he was out,John and the studio men called a hawker who balanced a tray of bananas on her head into the studio, pretending to be patronizing some of her bananas.

"Pretty lady,how much does your banana go for?" one of them asked.
"Three fingers go for two dollars,sir." she answered.
"Isn't that a bit too expensive?The season for banana harvest is here isn't it?" the man complained.

They stalled the hawker,whose name they found out was Abena Ofori, engaging her in superfluous talks.They targeted the time around when Kaleb would get back for them to strike.

Abena found herself enjoying the company of the men.Then when the time came,They pushed her to the floor. John came in holding a sharp knife with a handkerchief.

"What is going on?What are you doing?" She shouted as she struggled to free herself from the grasp of four men.

No one listened to her pleas.

Instead another man shut her mouth tight with a piece of cloth as John jabbed the knife into her chest. Her screams were muffled by the cloth in her mouth. The knife remained in her as they took to their heels.

Kaleb arrived and saw Abena dying in a pool of cold blood.He rushed immediately to her,removed the cloth in her mouth and asked her what happened but she could barely talk. With a very strained voice she asked him to do something to help her. In his desperation,fear and confusion,he removed the knife from her chest and at once she seized to live.

Meanwhile John had gone to call the police and Laila as well. He had told the police that his friend was trying to murder a girl and therefore they should arrive fast before anything bad happens.

John,Laila and the police got there right after Kaleb pulled the knife out of Abena. He turned around and froze on sight of them.

"Freeze, weapon down and hands in the air,you are under arrest for the charge of murder." Shouted the police.
