DANCING IN THE RAIN

During the weekend, Kaleb and Laila decided to go out to have some fun. They went to the zoo nearby and later to the local market to buy some items for home. At the zoo, something unexpected happened. Even though they do hang out a lot, they never considered themselves to be dating. They only secretly liked each other.

So as they strolled the zoo, chatting and giggling,a question came up. Kaleb asked her if she had ever thought of him as something more than friends. A blushing Laila replied "something more than friends? My my,you do know how to beat around the bush don't you?"

Kaleb burst out laughing and said "Alright alright would you like to be my girlfriend?" At this point his level of nervousness had increased to the extent that he couldn't feel the banana in his hands which he was using to feed the monkeys earlier.

"I've always anticipated this question"said Laila "I knew of your feelings for me but never spoke up because I wanted you to speak for yourself. And yes I'd love to be your girlfriend."

They both laughed their hearts out at the situation they found themselves in. Kaleb hugged her and gave her a peck on her right cheek and they held hands as they continued their stroll.

"We have to head to the market or else we wouldn't get the black pepper my mom sent me to buy"Kaleb revealed.

As they were walking towards the market, heavy clouds were gathering above their heads. They ran, hands entwined to the market in hopes that they'd make it home in time before the rain starts. But I guess fate had something else in store for them.

Immediately after they bought the black pepper, the rains began. It was getting dark and the streetlights were on.They were still ranning when Laila stopped and said "I just had a great idea." "What idea?"Kaleb asked. "I want us to dance in the rain like they do in romantic movies." She said. "That's absurd we will catch a serious cold if we do that!!"Kaleb exclaimed.

Laila pouted and made a pleading face. Kaleb being the simp that he is for her agreed saying "Alright let's dance but only for a minute."
They ended up dancing for about 30 minutes in the rain that evening and got home drenched with rain water.
