5 - The beach

Getting out of the change rooms was embarrassing. I could feel the breeze brush my back and stomach area. It was almost unnatural so I put back my All Might shirt. The bottom hem just reached halfway of my shorts so you could actually see that I was wearing clothing underneath.

I went out to help Iida and Todoroki, who were already dressed in swimsuits. Todoroki wore long white surf shorts with splash marks of black along one side. Iida wore black shorts and a swimming T-shirt. Lucky... I wanted to wear that as I thought of the All Might swimmers.

Bakugo was the second one to finish dressing. Apparently the others were fooling around, you could hear distant laughter and cries echoing the change rooms.

Bakugo was wearing dark green shorts. Although they were plain, they looked really handsome on him. Even the chain necklace with a trinket hanging by his collarbone made him-

"Deku!" Kacchan scowled.
"Ahh! Y-yes Kacchan?"
"Where's your swimmers?"
"U-underneath my shirt," I said in a softer voice.
It became silent and was really awkward. "Kacchan?" I started feeling anxious. I had to think of something to say!
"What hero ag-!" I was cut off by Todoroki handing me a cold can. "Er... thank you Todoroki."
"No worries, Midoriya-san," his soothing voice said, calming the anxious feeling inside me.

I tried continuing my question but Kacchan didn't seemed to be listening. Plus, almost everyone was out and around us.

"Alright everyone! Let's begin our fun day!!!" Ochako yelled to the sky.

Some people went swimming, others built sandcastles or rested in the shade. I went to the volleyball court that Todoroki-kun and Iida-kun has set up.

"Midoriya!" Kirishima called as he set the ball. "Yosh!" I ran forwards and slammed the ball as hard as I could to the opponents ground. The ball fell in the gap between people and was just about to touch the ground when Bakugo tumbled forwards to the ground in great effort to toss it upwards. His shot was boosted with his blast quirk. It ran to a high altitude before it reached and hit my field.

I desperately glanced at Bakugo's amazing feat. His eyes furrowed extra hard as he picked himself up. "I'm not gonna fucking let you win shitty nerd!" There it was again, Kacchan's normal competitiveness. "Ok! Bring it on! I'm not gonna lose!" I called back smiling with ferocity.

Both teams had an intense attack and defence force. Multiple people used their quirks to give a boost with their attacks. It was a tough competition. We weren't planning on losing, neither was Kacchan's team.

Todoroki and a few others tried hard deflecting the sky boundary whilst Tsuyu and others guarded the bottom grounds. Me and other two  people worked on spiking the ball to their side.

The ball went back and forth. People tossed, set and swung the ball across from both sides.

21-19 Looks like Kacchan's team has won by a bit. I dropped to the floor to catch my breath. My legs were worn and sweat dripped all over my skin. We have been playing for an hour and the sun was gonna set soon.
I have to confess. I looked at Kacchan as he was still standing up despite the multiple burns on his arms from catching the ball. Kirishima was also by his side laughing. His back was burnt red from swimming in the ocean.

It was nice. Feeling the summer breeze. Being with everyone and having fun. But what I most treasured was being able to fight Kacchan as an equal. Now all that's left to do is confess and see how he feels. I've held this feeling in me for a while. And I feel that telling him will take a load off my shoulders and help me move one significantly in my hero career.
