11 - Plan to move (2)

I got up early in the morning. At six, the normal time. I was brimming with motivation. I started to write a letter to my mum in preparation for the last day. The letter will be placed at the centre of the dining table. And the next day, I'll be up early in the morning and gone.

"Dear mum,
Thank you for your hospitality"

Hospitality? What the frick? Is there a better word choice??

Whiting out the word, I thought of using a more understandable and simple expression.

"Dear mum,
Thank you so much for your kindness,
As your daughter, I love the things you've taught me and shared with me. I want"

Want??? What do I want...
I crossed out the line again.
Uhhh I really suck at writing letters.

Stuff it. I'll just do whatever.

I took out a new piece of paper and began jot down the words sincerely from my heart.

"Dear mum,
I love you. But, lately I realised that a hero career isn't something suited for me. I know you always wanted to support me and now that's all going down the drain. But, mum you taught me something important. Always hold onto the things important to you and your values.

I hope this letter can serve just that purpose :D"

A smiley face... this is so childish, hope she doesn't mind it.

"I'm going to go out and explore the world a bit. You don't need to worry about me. I found a job, but sorry I can't tell you where and what I'm doing. But I can tell you it is very appropriate, safe and pays well.

I will pray for your safety from afar and please don't worry about me.

Love you,
From your loving daughter,
Izuku Midoriya"

"Izuku!" My mother's voice called downstairs.
Oh crap! Can't show her this... I shuffled things away clearing my desk, hoping to remove suspicion.

"Come down! It's breakfast time," she seemed more cheery than the past gloomy week. I came down quickly and met her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Morning mum! Ooh! Pancakes!"

I settled onto the kitchen counter and dug into the food. Both sides was fried to a beautiful golden brown.

"Care for some homemade maple syrup?" Mum was in a really good mood, she even bothered to make sauce for the food.

Not kidding. One time, when I came home I had scars and bruises all over my body from a fight in the playground. This was about when I was 8 or 9, mum was feeling really sad. She didn't have the appetite nor the will to cook. So, she crashed at Aunt Mitsuki's place to eat.

Whilst I chugged away at the pancake, mum got a fork and neatly cut out mini pizza slices before topping it with butter and putting it in her mouth.

We both munched away on the delicacies and talked to each other; a loving mother and daughter bond. The week of zero communication felt like years and it was really nice to be back talking and laughing together.

"DEKUUUUUUU!" A long high-pitched female voice shouted from outside.
"DEKU! COME OUT! TALK TO US! ARE YOU OK?!" Ochako's voice pounced everywhere like a cockatoos'.

I leaned to the left from my chair to look through our glass wall windows. I saw a girl with a menacing face. Her palms were out and ready to do something.

"YOU ARE COMING WITH ME TODAY!!! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE! OR ELSE I WILL PUT THIS HOUSE AFLOAT!"
