Daichi x Reader

You glanced at the clock. Thirty Minutes already. The hope you tried to keep up slowly started to fade. 'Five more minutes then I'll go home' you mumbled to yourself glancing at your phone. Just as you took a sip from your milkshake someone entered the coffee shop you were sitting in. You saw his reflection in the shops window but didn't turn around. He seemed nervous as he approached you slowly. 'I'm sorry.' he quietly said. It was the seventh or eighth time it happened. But simply seeing the look in his eyes was enough to sooth your anger. The rage that started to bobble up while you had waited for him was instantly gone. A smile made it's way on your lips. 'It's fine. Now come sit down' you could see how he relaxed while he tookhis seat opposite the table. 'Are you sure it's fine?' he asked.'Sure!' you gave him a smile. The waiter came and asked Daichi what he wanted. He ordered quickly and put all his attention on you. The two of you talked about your day, he told you what happened at practice and stuff. 'Oh before I forget it. Here!' you grabbed the few papers you carried in your bag for the whole day. 'What is this?' Daichi asked furrowing his brows. You didn't say anything but waited for him to realize. It took you several hours to gather theinformation's and write them together. You watched with happiness as his facial expression changed from puzzled to enlightened and finally to pure aw. 'Did you make this?' he looked at you awestruck. A proud nod was your reply. It was a training guide with exercises and other stuff he could do on his own and with the others. 'Wow. Thatis...I...wow!' Daichi was at a lose for words. 'It's my present for you.' you said smiling. Now was the moment. You weren't sure if he had forgotten it or not. A part of you knew he was busy and you should've probably reminded him but the other part hoped he did think of it on his own. 'It's perfect. Thank you. But now mine seems...kind of unpersonal...' he pulled a little box out of his pocket and gave it to you. Your heart was glowing with joy. He didn't forget. You had your struggles to open the box and when it was finally open your jaw dropped. You had seen the necklace in the jewelry stores window and like all your friends you loved how it looked. It was a delicate silver necklace with a small heart. Your hands were shaking when you took it out of the box. You placed the heart in the palm of your hand and looked at it. 'Turn it around' Daichi said watching your every move. You did and it felt like the Armors arrow struck you again. Engraved in the back of the heart were your initials and the date when you got together three years ago. 'Daichi...' your voice was cracking. After expacting nothing, this was pretty much the best thing ever. 'Happy anniversary my love.' he took your hand in his and all you could do was grin from ear to ear. You stayed in the coffee shop a little longer before you made your way home. Of course Daichi insisted on walking you home like he always did. You really didn't mind at all. Not far from your house Daichi took your hand in his. 'Y/N you know how we planned to visit your aunt that weekend?' the sound of his voice already told you. He ditched you again for volleyball. You closed your eyes for a moment and with your free hand felt how warm the necklace had gotten from the contact with your skin. 'It's fine. We can do it next weekend!' you smiled at him. Daichi seemed surprised but nodded anyways. When you stopped right infront of your door however he couldn't keep it quiet. 'How comes you're not mad at me?' he asked worried. 'Why should I?' you blinked confused. 'I came late again. I ditch the plans for the weekend. You deservebetter!' he seemed serious. A warm smile was what he got from you. 'I know how much you love volleyball and your team. I know that you'r estressed about school and stuff and that you got other things to do,but no matter what you have to do or to think about, you never forget about me and you make time for me as much as possible. I'm more than happy to have you Daichi' you placed your hand on his cheek and gave him a soft kiss. Daichi sighed. He was happy to have such a great girlfriend like you.
