AT THE PARTY VENUE

It had been more than 48 hours since the last interaction between Kaira. Kartik spent most of his time arranging for the launch for his new Gold Jewellery collection. Although he missed her yet he didn't let his work get affected by this. He waited for her message or call but she didn't. He hadn't heard about her from last two days since he left her there at the apartment. He still had a hope in the heart somewhere that she will not let him down and attend his party.

The party started an hour back and he was busy with some investors when the singhanias came. He excused himself and went to welcome them. Somewhere he hoped to see her but all his hopes came crashing down when he couldn't spot her. Nevertheless he plastered a smile on his face and welcomed them. He couldn't be angry when he himself gave her the choice. He greeted them and got busy with Naksh and Keerti while elders decide to join others.

Keerti: I hope desert mei kuch acha hoga.
Kartik: I thought you were here to congratulate me. Maine tere desert k liye party nhi organize ki.
Keerti: everyone have their own priorities.
Naksh(giving him a bouquet): Congrats Kartik.
Kartik: thank you and (they were interrupted by Shubham)
Shubham: hii jiju kahan rehte ho aaj kal.
Keerti: shubham tujhse na maine bohat time se ek baat puchni thi
Shubham: toh rok kaun raha hai. Puchiye puchiye
Keerti: tu apne jiju aur bhabhi k jyada hi close nhi hogya. Jaise voh tere saghe bhai bhen ho aur hum sautela
Shubham: aave hi. Maina aisa kab kiya.
Keerti: haina kartik
Shubham: onse kya puch rahe he himself is smitten by Bhabhi.
Kartik(clearing his throat): guys I will join you later. I have guests to attend.

Kartik wasn't interested talking about her when he was trying hard to act normal. He excused himself and went to welcome his guests. His siblings did notice his change of expressions and felt bad for him. They didn't know what exactly happened day before yesterday but guessed that it didn't happen in his favour. They didn't know whom they should support. But right now they did felt bad for him and were disappointed that she didn't attend the party. It was the outcome of his 2 and half months. Kartik was busy when his phone vibrated.

IN NAIRA'S SIDE

She had been busy helping advith with arrangements. His injuries were making it difficult for him to manage the things. She spent the last two days doing his part of work and didn't get the chance to talk to Kartik. She didn't have the courage to talk to him also. After gathering lots of courage she picked her phone and messaged him to come out. She was in her car along with the driver. She came out of her car and waited for his reply.

Her family didn't have much conversation with her in the last two days as she kept her herself busy in her world when she was at home. They also decided not to interrupt her as they knew it was of no use. Her stubbornness is one of the trait she got from her father. She kept looking at her phone for his reply standing near the back door. There was a media in the front and she wasn't ready for that mess. She was about to call him for the last time or else she will have to enter on her own. Her phone was snatched from her ear within the snap of fingers and she was caged between the wall and Kartik.

Naira: kartik
Kartik: who the hell told you to come here?
Naira(hurt): whatt. Tum nhi chahte the mai yahan aau
Kartik(running his hands through his hairs): I mean to say why didn't you use the front door yahan kyu khadi ho. It isn't safe Naira yahan security bhi nhi hai and you have the audacity to stand here and talking to someone on the bloody call. Are you insane or what.
Naira: I am sorry I didn't want to face the media and all. Lekin galti tumhari bhi hai
Kartik: how am I at fault. Maine kaha yahan aake khaane hone ko
Naira: tumne party arrange ki hai so you should look after the security.
Kartik: tumhare jaise sab log nhi hai. Voh sab front door de hi aa rahe hai.
Naira: of course mere jaisa koi hai bhi nhi.
Kartik: of course bhagwan bhi baar baar ek hi galti nhi karna chahte the.
Naira(scoffing): what just you said.
Kartik: exactly that you just heard.
Naira(stomping her foot): I am going back leave me
Kartik(pulling her back and caging her): do you think I will let you go now. Just like God I too won't repeat my mistakes.
Naira(closing her eyes sensing the closeness between them): I didn't forgive you yet.
Kartik(placing a kiss on her neck): can I know why I would be the only one who will apologise. You are at equal fault. (Continuing placing his at her shoulder as she was wearing an off shoulder dress)
Naira(moaning his Name): Kartikk
Kartik(wrapping his arms around her and hiding his face in the crook of her neck): I missed you.
Naira: everyone would be looking for you.
Kartik: I don't care. I have my priorities.
Naira: you are the host Kartik stop being a stubborn.
Kartik: first promise me you won't leave me now.
Naira(kissing his forehead): I won't.

Just than they heard some sound nevertheless ignored it. Naira freed herself from him and was about to move ahead when Kartik pulled her back. He caged her between his arms and give her a hickey on her neck. She flinched at the pain but he soothe it with the wet kisses. Naira moaned his name and wrapped her arms around his neck wanting more. Kartik pulled him and back and whispered.

Kartik: though everybody inside know you are my wife yet I needed to mark you as mine to save you from the stares I guess.
Naira(shocked): what just you did. How am I gonna hide this.
Kartik: that's your punishment for being away from me for so long. Now come(taking her hand in his)
Naira: tumhe toh mai dekhlungi
Kartik: I know I am too hot to be ignored.
Naira: You are full of yourself
Kartik: I know that you don't need to remind this from time to time.

Naira looked at his face which had a glow on his face. She couldn't help but stare him with a adoring smile. She pulled hairs in front to hide the hickey and matched his pace. Kartik had a real smile on his face instead of the fake he had plastered on his face since the party started. He knew their matter wasn't solved yet her mere presence was enough for him right now. She could lighten his dark world with her bright smile.

INSIDE THE VENUE

When Kartik entered along with Naira, everyone couldn't stop adoring them. They indeed looked like the King and the Queen. Naira was nervous to go inside first she wasn't much familiar with much attention and second reason was their families. She knew they were quite upset with the stunts she had pulled in last few days and was scared from their scoldings. Kartik tightened his hold on her hand when she left his hand unconsciously.

Though she was scared to meet them yet they all hugged her and complimented her. They couldn't be angry at her as they were not aware about the actual problem. Naira got quite emotional when they said they missed her and felt guilty. Kartik raised his eyebrow questioning her what happened while she just give him I am okay look. He shrugged it off and took her along with him to introduce to some of his clients. She too greeted them and stood their listening to their business talks and giving her inputs whenever required.

Man1: you have got a beautiful wife for yourself Mr. Geonka.
Man2: I must say talented as well
Kartik(sensing her awkwardness): of course she is everything I could have ever asked for.
Woman: you both look cute together. Made for each other.
Naira: thank you.
Kartik: thanks.

They both excused themselves as Shubham was motioning with his hands to come here. They made their way towards him and saw he was being accompanied by Keerti, Naksh, mansi and of course vani.

Vani(hugging Naira): hii you look so hot
Naira: thanks I guess.
Shubham: bhabhi how are you. Its been long I met you
Naira(hugging him back): we just met day before yesterday.
Shubham(with a sad face): but you didn't talk to me that day except few words
Naira: I am sorry I wasn't in the right state of mind.
Shubham: I guess its okay. I hope you are fine now. Agar bhaiya kuch kahe toh aap mujhe batana. I will be there for you to fight against him. Ek Se bhale do.
Kartik: keerti sahi keh rhi thi.
Shubham: you people are just jealous nothing else.
Mansi: hii bhabhi

Mansi didn't have any interaction with Naira after that day. Mansi thought she was angry and said hii to her with a low voice. Naira pulled her into a hug sensing her awkwardness and mumble itz okay to her. Mansi hugged her back while their moment was interrupted by Luv-kush.

Luv: hum dono bhi hai
Kush: aap hamesha hume bhul jati ho bhabhi
Naira(bending on their height): I am sorry these people didn't let me meet my cute munchkins.
Luv-kush(hugging her): we missed you bhabhi
Naira(kissing both of them on their cheeks): I missed you both too.

Kartik helped her getting up from the floor as it was difficult for her due to the heels. He leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear.

Kartik: hadh hai. Mujhe toh kaha nhi k you missed me aur na hi kiss kiya.
Naira: maine kiya hota toh bolti na. Ab kiya hi nhi hai toh jhuth kyu bolu.
Kartik: I am sure os din aditi keerti se kuch aur keh rhi thi.
Naira: sharam nhi aati logo ki chup chup kar baatein sunte ho
Kartik: It was meant to be heard.
Naira: she was just teasing me with your name.
Kartik: of course voh mere naam se hi tease karegi padosiyo k naam se toh karne se rhi
Anushka(interrupting them): hello people.
Naira: hiii
Kartik: tum log kahan reh gye the
Neil: hum log kabse aaye hue hai apko hi apni biwi se fursat nhi thi.
Anushka: Naira you look gorgeous
Naira: thank you
Neil: mujhe bhi koi dhoondh do
Kartik: tune toh socha hua hai k tujhe es jahmele mei padhana hi nhi hai
Neil: kaun pagal bola aise
Kartik: hai mera ek dost

Later everyone got into a conversation about Keerti's pregnancy as she entered her second trimester. Everyone was quite excited to welcome the new member. Naira excused herself when she was Karan and Advith near the bar. She didn't know they were invited. She excused herself and went towards them.

Advith: finally someone got time to bless us with her presence.
Naira(ignoring him and giving karan side hug): hii to be jija ji. Howz everything going.
Karan: chal raha hai. Aap batayiye kya chal raha hai
Naira: humara bhi chal raha hai
Advith(sipping his drink): I am offended
Naira(snatching his drink): don't you dare to drink in my presence or I will be offended
Advith(grumpily): Fine
Karan: maine toh suna tha mamala kafi garam hai lekin yahan toh kuch hor hi dekhne ko mil raha hai(pointing towards her and Kartik)
Advith: its just his power karan tu nhi samajhega
Karan: matlab
Advith: arey tune voh gaana nhi suna kya
Karan: kaunsa
Advith: bheem ki shakti dhoom machaye samne koi (pointing towards Naira) tik na paye.
Karan: this was a good one dude.
Naira(whinning): stop with your nonsense and stop drinking
Karan and advith(together): bheem ki shakti
Naira: I hate you both
Advith: of course you have kartik to love why would love us!
Karan: did he give you a hickey Naira
Naira(covering her neck): shut up. I am not talking to you guys and for God's sake stop drinking.

She threw the tissue kept on the table towards them and left them laughing out loud. People gave these three stares but they ignored it. They loved teasing her and seeing her frustration. They both stopped drinking smiling at her words. They were happy for her as she was happy.

IN KARTIK'S SIDE

Kartik was sitting on a chair along with his siblings and friends as most of the guests were busy gossiping and he wasn't one of them. He preferred talking on silly topics instead of gossiping about others. They all were busy when Naira joined them while cursing and throwing glares at Advith and Karan who were still sitting at the bar and busy looking in their phones.

Kartik: tumhe kya hua
Naira: just a minute (calling the waiter) can you plz stop offering drinks to those monkeys.
Waiter: lekin mam
Naira: aap mera Naam leke mana kardijiye. Aur agar kuch kahe toh kehna es party k host ne hi kaha hai k onhe drinks na de.
Waiter: okay mam
Kartik: what was that. You can't force your decisions.
Naira: I know what I am doing Kartik
Naksh: you can't control their life
Naira: bhai it was important.
Anushka: she is right Kartik. Karan bhai ko doctor ne mana kiya hua hai.
Naira: Advith is on heavy medication he can't.(just than her phone pinged) it was advith who messaged her that he will let her win this time.
Kartik: well leave that. Letz Dance.
Naira: karan is your brother?
Anushka: huh yeah he is my uncle's son
Naira: ohh... okay. Wait you are the one who dated Advith few years back.
Kartik(holding her hand to stop her): naira leave this.
Naira: I so wanted to meet you since long time. What a small world I guess.
Kartik(taking her along with him): let's go. I need to introduce you to someone.
Naira: lekin
Kartik: enough Naira letz go.
Anushka: Aah I will be join you guys later. I need to call someone. Excuse me(she left)
Kartik(sternly): what the hell Naira. I was asking you to stop it
Naira: I thought they ended on good terms.
Kartik(snapping at her): what makes you think like that
Neil: leave it guys. Its their matter stop fighting bcuz of that.

There was absolute silence on their table as Naira didn't reply him while Kartik and Neil looked towards the way Anushka went. They were interrupted by the host who invited the people to to rock the dance floor. Naira wasn't interested yet agreed to dance when he asked for a dance with him. There were welcomed by hooting on the stage accompanied by many other couples. The song from dilwale " Janam Janam" was played.

"I tried finding some nice video but there weren't much on this song"

Soon other couple stopped and continued watching them along with the audience. It was quite mesmerizing to see the dance and it appeared as if Kartik indeed saying those words to Naira. They both too enjoyed being with each other and forgot about the audience who was witnessing their dance filled with love. Kartik placed a kiss on her forehead as soon as the song ended which was accompanied by the shouts from their family and friends.

Naira tried getting away from his grip but he remained adamant and held her close to him. Dadi did her signature step of the thu which was imitiated by the most of the family member and quoting her words 'nazar na lage kisi ki'.

Kartik: kidhar madam
Naira: I need to use the washroom.
Kartik: hmm
Naira: kya hmm
Kartik: what else you want to say. Should I accompany you?
Naira: you are teasing me a lot today.
Kartik: you are blushing a lot today.
Naira: you are
Kartik: bas theek hai mai jeeta tum haari. Hum baad mei baat karege.
Naira: haa theek (releasing what he said) what just you say
Kartik: mujhe papa bula rahe hai. Mai tumse baad mei baat karta hu.

Kartik left Naira throwing glares at him. She sighed once he was out of sight and walked towards the washroom. She just than she realised she didn't have her phone with her since a long time. She tried rememebering and than realised she dropped it near the back door. She turned her way towards the back door to fetch it.

KARTIK'S SIDE

Kartik was busy with Manish who called him to introduce to some of his friends when he was interrupted by Karan. He was actually looking for Naira as he needed her help. Kartik excused himself and greeted him.

Kartik: hey Karan
Karan: hii kartik. Congratulations on your jackpot.
Kartik: jackpot
Karan: you managed to get married to the Great Naira Singhania.
Kartik: ohh Thanks for your wishes. But do you think you are quite early
Karan: yeah I guess I should have wait for some more months to see how long you both survive with each other.
Kartik: hmm how can I forget you are big time ghadi detergent fan. Pehle istmal kare phir vishvas kare.
Karan: very funny. Where is Naira?
Kartik: yahi hogi kyu kuch kaam tha.
Karan: girlfriend problems actually scratch that fiancé problems. I needed her help.
Kartik: wait I will call her.
Karan: maine kiya utha nhi rhi.
Kartik: oh she went to use the washroom. I will go and check its been long since she left.
Karan: just let her know that I was looking out for her and call me once she is free.
Kartik: yeah sure.

He went to check upon on her but didn't find her there. He asked his family but they were also not aware about her whereabouts. She was really good at inviting troubles for herself and  Kartik couldn't do anything other than to pray that she was okay. If he will get older earlier than his age she would be the sole reason behind it. The amount of stress he takes because of her is equals to the total stress he had taken till the day he met her. She was both stress buster and stress booster for him.
