The way to the pack house was quiet. Im not going to lie, I'm going to miss my sister. We pulled in the driveway. Ugh. Here goes nothing I thought as I was grabbing my bags. "Here let me take those." Someone said from behind me. I turned to see Beta Josh. I've heard he is way nicer than Alpha Peter. "I can handle it Beta. I may be a girl, but I'm not weak." I tried walking to the house but I didnt make it far when Beta Josh took my bags from me. "I insist." He grinned. Maybe it won't be so bad here. I miss Chase. I know we barely said ten sentences to eachother but thats what happens with mates. You miss them even when you don't know them.

When I stepped inside I couldnt help but to marvel in the houses glory. I say house but its more like a mansion. It has to be big to accomodate everyone who lives here. It has four stories and a basement. The living room was beautiful. It had beige walls with white trim. Of course the furniture matched the color scheme. We walked pass the kitchen. I was huge, almost like a restaurant. There were plenty of tables. "Come on Daniella. I'll show you to your room." My room was on the second floor at the end of the hall on the right. He opened the door, and I couldnt help but to gasp. "Wow. It's beautiful....How did you know my favorite color?" The room was full of baby blues and whites. I had a queen size bed, walk-in, closet, plush carpet, and....."MY OWN BATHROOM!!" I yelled. I looked back at Josh to see him smiling. "I'll leave you to unpack. Dinner in twenty minutes." He said. " Wait. Can you send Sam up here? I wanna say bye before she leaves." He nodded and left.

I threw myself on the bed laughing. "Looks like you're going to be okay here after all Dani." I sat up to see Sam at the door. Im going to miss her so much. She walked over and sat next to me on the bed. "Here, I got this for you so you can call me when you need to." She held out a phone. "Thank you! I love you Sam. I'll be fine now go on. Go to your mate he's waiting" I chuckled. It looked like she was about to cry. I didnt want to see that because then we would both be blubbering messes. "Alright, make sure you call me if you need anything though." After she left I went downstairs for dinner.

As I was walking down stairs I smelled the delicous dinner the cook made. Hmm...smells like...STEAK! My wolf loves steak. I walked a little faster to the dinning room. The room was huge with a gigantic table to fit the people who live in the pack house. I sat down next to John. Did I mention he lives here? Thank gosh he does. " Hey Dani! Did you get unpacked okay?" John aasked. "Yeah, I did. So-" I was cut off by my wolf Maria going crazy. "MATE. Dani he's here. I can smell him. Pinecones and cinnamon." She purred. Then I seen him walk through the door into the dining room. "Alpha Chase will be joining us for dinner tonight. Please be on your best behavior." He said pointedly looking at me. Geesh Alpha Peter stare was cold.

We all moved down one seat to make room. Which left the only open seat next to me. "Nows our chance to talk to him" Maria told me. He sat down but noticably scooted over away from so our arms weren't touching. Maria growled at the girls staring at Chase. I noticed some of the pack staring at me. Oops. Did I growl out loud? "Way to go Maria!" I hissed at her in my head. "sorry." She whined. "Excuse me. Im starving." I said grabbing my stomach trying to play it off as if my stomach was growling. They looked away not really caring. "So Alpha Chase what brings you to dinner?" I asked.  He didnt even make eye contact when he replied. "Alpha Peter invited me."  Throughout the whole dinner he didnt so much as glance at me except for when John and I were playing aroung poking eachother. I thought I heard a faint growl but it was covered up by a cough. After supper Alpha Chase left quickly not saying goodbye. I stalked up to my room pissed off. " I cant stand Peter." Maria growled. "Me either, but he is our Alhpa." "No he isnt." She mumbled. What? "What do you mean Maria?" "Nothing Im just pissed." She said quickly shuttin me out. I layed in bed and fell asleep thinking of Chase.
