Chapter Two

Daniella

"Mate." I finally said aloud. His head snapped in my direction. His eyes were so captivating they were the brightest blue I have ever seen. "Mate." He said. Oh God! His voice was the sexiest thing I've heard in my life. I couldn't help but to check him out. He was wearing a black T-Shirt that clung to his perfectly sculpted body. My eyes traveled lower lets just say.. wow! I bet my eyes were the size of saucers. From what I could tell he was the whole package, if you catch my drift. When I finally looked up I realized he was watching me check him out. How embarassing! I blushed four shades of red in two seconds flat. I didnt know how close he was untill he tilted my head up to look him in the eyes. "Like what you see?" OH YES! I wanted to say, but i stopped myself just in time. "I'm not sure." I giggled. Did I just giggle? He just smirked. Uh-Oh. "He's onto us Maria."    "Well, thats fine with me." She said huskily. Oh goodness. "My name is Daniella." I finally said realizing we were being watched by the whole class. "I'm Chase. Wanna go out after school?" Do I? Yes I think I do. I sighed at the sound of his voice. "I would like that. Now can we sit down, because the whole class is listening to our coversation. As if he just realized this he blushed. "Awhh Chase is cute when he is blushing." I thought to Maria. "You're telling me? I cant believe we found our mate. Early too thats even better!" Maria is so giddy right now. She is scratching to get out. 

After school, I walked out to the parking lot looking for my bike. Ah there it is...right next to one sexy hunk of meat. Chase. "MATE! Lets go talk to Mate! Please please please!!" Maria begged. "As if i would say no Maria."  As I was on my way over there I seen Alpha Peter talking to Chase. Huh. I wonder why he's talking to our mate. Maybe he is thinking about joining our pack. When I got to them I noticed the tension in the air. Chase looked like he was about to explode with anger. I touched his arm. "Chase?" I whispered. "Whats the matter?" His eyes softened when he looked at me. "I'm sorry Dani. I have to go. Why dont you ask your Alpha whats wrong?" He spat the last part out as he walked away. Not at me but at Alpha Peter. "Alpha Peter?" I asked him. "I don't want you talking to Alpha Chase any longer Daniella." This infuriated me! "What do you mean you dont want me talking to him?! Wait..Alpha-"   "Yes Alpha Chase. The Alpha of The Sleepy Hollow pack. As for you not talking to him that is because his pack is our enemy. You know that." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Our mate, Alpha Chase, Sleepy Hollow. Those words kept spinning in my head till I snapped. "I WILL TALK TO HIM!" I got on my bike and sped off not even bothering with the helmet. I dont need it I am a she-wolf after all. I made it home in a few minutes. I ran inside slamming everything I could without breaking them. Sam would kill me.

All night I tossed and turned. I was pissed. Pissed because Alpha Peter wants to keep me from my mate. Pissed because he thought he could tell me what to do, well he's got another thing coming if he thinks im going to submit. The next morning I did my usual routine. I picked out a white blouse, leather jacket, dark skiny jeans, and my knee length black heels/boots. I walked downstairs. "Samantha I'm leaving." I called to her. No answer. "Sam!" No answer. There was a missed call on the answering machine. Humph. I must not have heard the phone ring because I was so pissed last night. Beeepp.."Dani, it's Samantha. I was just calling to let you know I found my mate! Im staying the night at his house tonight so I wont be home in the morning. I love you! See you after school." 

I took my time on the way to school this morning, dreading the day. When I finally got there the only parking spot was next to Alpha Peter. UGH! I just cant catch a break. Maria was just itching to get out. If im not careful she will take over. I made my way to class, the only seat left was next to Chase. This made Maria and I both happy. I sat down turning to him. "Hey Chase!" No answer. He didnt even blink "Chase? Hellooo. Okay fine ignore your only mate see if I care." I sat back in my seat annoyed as hell. I seen his shoulders slump as if he had been holding his breath. "Awhh...Mate. Help Mate." Maria kept saying. We could feel his saddness. "We cant. He doesnt want to talk to us Maria." I heard a faint whine from Maria before she shut me out. I huffed. Well this is going to be a long day. 

Finally, lunch came along. I am starving. I was waiting in the lunch line with John. He was comforting me because he heard about what Alpha Peter did. He had his arm around me when we heard a growl. I turned around to none other than our mate. "Can I help you Alpha Chase?" I said in a monotone voice. He growled again, I dont doubt it was because i was using his formal name. I just turned back around and talked to John. After we got our food we headed to the table that was reserved for our pack. I ignored the stares from Alpha Peter. Untill..."What were you doing talking to Alpha Chase?" He asked in his alpha tone which is suppose to make me obey but it doesnt work on me. I dont let him know that though. "I wasnt talking to him. I heard a growl and asked if I could help him with something. I even used his formal name Alpha Peter." I said lookin down pretending to submit. "Good girl." Little does he know Im not going to listen to him. I just have to get Chase alone.

After school came the worst part. Samantha broke the news to me that she was moving out which ment..."Ugh!  This so unfair! I dont want to live at the pack house Sam." I whined while I was packing up my stuff. "You'll be alright. Dont be so melodramatic Daniella." When I was finished packing I put my stuff in the truck John let us borrow. It's going to be harder to disobey Alpha Peter while I'm living under his roof. "Okay Sam. Let's go to the hell hole." I huffed. "Dani, you will be just fine." She doesnt know about Chase, I didn't want to worry her.
