Chapter 7: Tokaba Mizukage

Third Person POV: The Hospital

Present Mic watches his friend wrap his scarf around his head the best he could. Eraser Head is covered in bandages. His arms are wrapped up and in slings. "Do you need any help?" Mic asks.

"No" is Shota Aizawa's immediate answer. As if it has a mind of its own, the scarf goes up with Eraser Head's hair, then returns to its perfectly wrapped self around his neck. "I'm ready," he exclaims. "Let's go."

"Are you sure you want her to see you like this?" Present Mic questions Aizawa. "You're completely wrapped in bandages. Not exactly intimidating, if you ask me. What do you think she's gonna say when she sees you?"

Eraser Head scoffs, "I haven't cared about that woman's opinion in seven years." He walks out of his room, his friend following close behind.

They get into the car downstairs. The driver asks, "Where to, sir?"

"Tartarus Maximum Security Prison," Aizawa answers. After the quick moment of shock, the driver sets the destination and starts heading down the roads closest to the water. They reach the gates within half an hour. "Are you going to be able to control yourself this time?" Shota asks. "I don't want you to go all psycho-uncle this time, Yamada."

Hizashi Yamada gives the most confident smile he can. "That's why I'll be waiting in the hall!" he exclaims in his Present Mic announcer voice.

Once the driver drives around the front, Eraser Head and Present Mic exit the car. They walk through the entrance. Once they reach the front door, Aizawa says, "It's a little hard to tell with the bandages, but I'm Shota Aizawa - aka Eraser Head. I have an appointment with one of the inmates."

The male guard at the desk nods. "She's already waiting sir. Please follow me." He stands and leads the two heroes down the hall. They descend the stairs to the deepest part of the facility. After another walk down a hallway, they stop at the final doors. "Remember, stay a good distance from the glass. If she tries anything funny, she's done for."

Shota nods, looks back at Hizashi, then enters the door the guard opens. He walks into the small white room with a single chair in the middle. He turns to the wall with a huge sheet of glass. A woman sits bound in a straight jacket. Her green hair lays across her shoulders, reaching all the way down to the floor. A few machine guns are pointed right at her. She smiles almost as evilly as Aizawa expected. "Hello, Tokaba."

"Hello, Shota," she answers him. She examines him with her eyes. "You look like shit." She smirks, "Don't tell me Akira did this to you?"

"Don't you dare say his name!" Aizawa shouts. He takes a deep breath. "Besides, a bunch of villains broke into the USJ. I got the worst of it, really."

"I heard about that. I was so concerned for the well-being of our son..."

"Shut up!" Aizawa screams. He stands up quickly, causing the chair behind him to topple over. "You have no right to call him your son. He is MY son, not yours, Tokaba."

Her smile widens. "What, am I getting under your skin?" She starts laughing. "Just because you take my name off of one silly sheet of paper does not take away the fact I am our boy's mother."

"You lost all rights to call him your son after what you did to him, you psycho," he spats back. Eraser Head realizes he is standing. He uses his feet to put the chair back up. He sits once again. He stares at Tokaba Mizukage. "I came here to tell you that I'm going to be telling Akira everything. He is going to learn about everything you ever did to him."

She frowns. "Did you seriously come all the way here after five years just to tell me you're going to tell the boy the truth? No..." She loses herself in her thoughts. "The last time you came here, Akira had a little - what have you been calling it - a "flare up". So maybe..." Tokaba looks at Shota's bandaged face. Even though it is covered, she can see the grimace on the other side. "He had a flare up, didn't he?"

Shota scoffs and looks down, "It was only a small one. He only went after the villains at the USJ. He actually helped..."

"No he didn't." Aizawa looks back up at her. "Shota, we may not be engaged anymore, but you still haven't changed. I am a woman of science. I can tell when you are lying, just like how I can tell when you are using your quirk." She laughs, "He attacked someone, didn't he? Someone who is dear to him?"

"He attacked mostly villains, up until right at the end," he tells her. He looks from her to the door. He stands up. "I don't know why I am going into so much detail with you. I don't even know why I keep coming here after something like this happens." He starts walking towards the door.

"Shota, you realize if he kills someone he cares about, it will lead him on a dark path," she cheerfully points out. She starts laughing...and laughing...and laughing. "You better make sure you keep YOUR son under control, or he may just turn into the monster the world will one day know him as."

Aizawa spins around to her. He almost goes up to the glass, before the door behind him opens. Present Mic grabs his hoodie, breaking him out of the rage. "I think it's time to go," Yamada says.

Eraser Head takes a few deep breaths. Slowly, he nods. The two pros start walking out of the prison. They try to think of the situation ahead of them. However, Shota Aizawa can only think about his former fiancé's words. You better keep your son under control, or he may just turn into the monster the world will one day know him as.
