RECAP

Hope brought her hand up and placed it on your cheek. "I know." She responded, caressing your cheek softly before bringing it down to her lap. "Oh and tell him he was right." Hope stated, laughing at the fact she said that. You laughed with her but waited to see why she wanted your to tell Landon that. "About my dad being in the play. He made everyone see him the way that I did and I thank him for that." Hope explained.

"Well, I'm sure you can tell him that yourself tomorrow, Hope Mikaelson." You commented, looking into her eyes, she smiled at you, flattered you had used her whole name. "Also, we are never fighting again because that was the worst thing ever." You complained.

Hope laughed as she rested her head on your shoulder, you wrapped an arm around her and resting your head on her head, enjoying the view of the moonlight hitting the water.

Hope laid in her bed, sleeping on her side, the morning sun creeping in through the blinds. She was woken up by the creaking of a door opening and the door closing, as well as footsteps coming closer to her. As she opened your eyes and lifted her head to see who it was, she saw you holding a tray of food.

She lifted yourself up by her elbows and now were seated underneath the bedsheets. She stretched lightly and looked at you. "What's the occasion?" She questioned, watching your smile grow.

You moved closer to Hope. "We are celebrating our theatrical debut." You joked, knowing that she was the only one out of the two of you to actually play in the musical.

She scoffed lightly. "Funny." She responded, but couldn't help the smile form on her face. "Never again." She stated, watching as you moved to sit down, placing the food beside you.

You looked up at Hope from the food, noticing she was already staring. She was admiring how you looked in the morning sun. "I'm kidding, we aren't celebrating that. Um, don't laugh, but it's kind of our anniversary." You stated.

Hope sent you a confused look, wondering how it was your anniversary. "The math is complicated, yes, but if you subtract the time when I was in Malivore, then you plus the time that we were unwilling to admit we had broken up when we pretty much had..." You stated, sounding confusing already.

"Yeah, my head hurts." Hope agreed, squinting her eyes even though she was smiling.

You smiled more. "See? Complicated." You reminded.

"Mm-hmm." Hope hummed.

You then shook your head, continuing what you were saying. "Anyway, besides that, we've officially been girlfriend and girlfriend for one year." You stated, picking up the fork and grabbing a piece of the pancake, handing the fork to Hope.

Hope laughed softly, watching you. "I think it's called 'The pancake anniversary'." You stated.

Hope grabbed the fork and put it in her mouth, eating the pancake. You were hoping she enjoyed the pancakes since they were your favourite things to make for years. "You may have superpowers, but you're a pancake god and that beats your superpowers." She complicated, placing the fork down.

"Thank you." You smiled, happy she enjoyed them. "Oh! I also have a whole date planned." You said, smiling.

Hope continued chewing her pancake. "Hmm." she indicated she was listening.

"We will have dinner, if you want we could dance in the square." You suggested, playing with your hands.

Hopes smile grew as she watched you becoming nervous. "You're being very cute right now." She commented. "Thank you." She softly said, knowing you were trying. "I'd like to make tonight special, too." Hope said, looking you dead in the eye.

"You're gonna have to sing me that song again." You replied, not catching what she was implying.

Hope scrunched up her face before shaking her head with a smile. "Okay, not exactly what I had in mind." Hope stated, biting her bottom lip.

You stared at her confused. "What did you...?" You trailed off, staring into her eyes. Your eyes widened when you realised. "Oh, God." You commented, Hope sheepishly smiling. "You mean, like, 'special' special."

"I mean, if you're ready." Hope immediately said afterwards. "I know I am, so..." She trailed off.

You started playing with your hands again, smiling. "I living in a constant state of ready, yes." You responded, earning Hope to chuckle.

"Okay." Hope said.

You grabbed onto her hand, squeezing it. "I love you, Hope Mikaelson." You stated.

Hope glanced at your lips before back into your eyes. "I love you, Kate Lockwood." She responded before you both leaned in and kissed, neither of you backing away.

Alaric had called most of the older students outside to tell them about the Necromancer without startling the younger students. "Necromancer has made his move, and the entire student body is in that high school with him. So the question my daughter asked me earlier is one I put to you now: What are we gonna do?" He questioned to the students.

Chatter arose from everyone around Ric but it slowly faded away. Hope stood there with her arms crossed, you next to her. "I have a plan. In the past, I would have kept it from you. You know, I built this school to protect you and your gifts from a world that understands neither, but the way I see it... you're the world's only shot now." Ric told the students.

Hope then decided to walk forward, clasping her hands together. "All right, enough with the speech. I'm in."

"Well, you haven't even heard the plan." Ric countered.

You watched the interaction, knowing that if Hope is fighting, you are too. "It ends with us winning, right?" Hope reminded.

"Yeah." Ric replied.

"Where the hell is MG?" Lizzie randomly asked as she looked around the school body.

Kaleb the spoke up. "Found a note from him this morning. He went to go help Alyssa Chang." Kaleb walked up to stand next to Hope while speaking.

As soon as Lizzie heard that, she felt a sense of confidence take over as she walked to stand with Hope. "Then I'm in, too." She commented.

"Hell, me too." You commented while walked up as well.

Landon than ran up to the group. "Yeah. Make that the four of us.

Ric turned his attention to Landon. "Landon, this is gonna be very dangerous. And given recent events-"

"I went to that school." Landon reminded before turning to you and pointing at you. When he did that, he saw the worry written all over your face. "We went to that school. I mean, I'll stay out of the fight, but I can help." Landon finished, ending strong with his argument.

Everyone became quiet, unsure of what to say. You then let out a sigh and cleared your throat, gaining their attention. "Like he said, we're in." You stated.

Ric nodded. "All right." He then looked up to the group of students circling them. "Who else is with us?" Alaric looked around, watching as the students only stared, probably scared to face the necromancer since he has practically been around since Malivore started sending monsters.

————

Ric harshly came to a stop in the school parking lot, getting out of the car. You heard him start talking to Mac. "As much as I appreciated last night, you can't be here." She said to him. "Some maniac in a Halloween costume has taken over the school, and my kids are trapped inside." Mac stated.

Alaric grabbed onto the back handle and opened it up. "Which is why you have to do exactly as I say. I'm sorry it has to be this way, but it is a matter of life and death." Ric stated, moving to the box in the back and opening it, opening certain things.

Mac watched him. "You are aware we have guns? My team won't even know how to use these." Mac reminded.

Ric pulled out an axe, looking at Mac. "That's okay. Mine will." Mac stated, just then a car skidding along the road was heard, gaining their attention as well as a Salvatore Van.

Kaleb got out of the drivers seat once he put his car into park, Jed getting out from the passengers seat. From the two vans came out the people who volunteered to help fight the Necromancer. All of them walked towards the two adults.

"Are you crazy? They're kids." Mac looked between the group of supernatural before back to Ric.

"Oh, they're more than that. They're special. And this will go a lot easier if you just trusted me." Ric replied, handing the axe to a girl.

Mac took her eyes off of the axe and looked back to Ric, letting out a sight. "What do you need from us?" She questioned.

"I need you to evacuate the town and then have your team help my students hold the line." He gave Kaleb a weapon, then a sword to Jed.

"Against what?" Mac asked.

Just then a large creature with large horns opened the school doors, growling towards them. "See for yourself. Here they come!" Kaleb yelled, the group of students walking around the cars to get a good angle of the creature.

It then roared at them, wanting the challenge. Just then the sphinx emerged from the door, but it seemed demonic as it wasn't gold or anything. "Ric, what the hell is happening?" Mac asked, completely confused but also terrified.

Alaric never took his eyes off of the two creatures. "Exactly what we wanted." He responded, the Sphinx then activated his power, causing Ric to speak up again. "That's my cue. I got to get out of here before he sees anything we don't want him to." Ric stated before hurrying away through the group of students.

————

Meanwhile, you, Hope Landon walked through the back of the school to get into the school without being seen. "Are you sure that this is the right way?" Hope questioned as we walked through the hardly lit hallway.

Landon led the group, obviously, since you never hid back here like he did. "Positive." Landon responded, glancing back. "I used to hide out down here all the time when Connor R.I.Pieces was bullying me. That door's gonna lead us up into the boiler room, which should lead us up into the schooooool......" Landon trailed when you aggressively grabbed the handle before him.

Landon then shook his head, realising what he sad. "Uh... shouldn't have said 'us', huh? It's no wonder I don't have a weapon." Landon commented as he glanced a the small knife in your hand and the sword in Hopes.

You let go of the handle and placed your knife in your pocket. "Landon, trust me, I want you to come with us, I really do. I just... don't want to lose you too." You said looking down.

Landon nodded his head briefly, understanding where you were coming from. He then wrapped you in a hug before letting go, causing you to look back up at him. "Just don't die." He joked, knowing that you can't.

"Oh ha-ha, very funny." You responded, watching as he walked backwards, giving you and Hope some privacy while you two spoke.

Hope then walked in front of you. "Seriously though, let's not get ourselves into a deathly-dangerous situation." Hope stated, looking into your eyes.

You leaned against the door, confused. "Why?" You questioned, tilting your head.

Hope didn't break eye contact as he cheeks slightly heated up, a soft blush on them now. "Well.. because... I want everything we talked about this morning to happen." She paused, you were about to respond but she spoke up again. "And please, no jumping into the pit again because I just can't risk losing you again." She blurted out.

"No promises." You responded, winking at her. Hope rolled her eyes. "Landon?" You called, causing him to walk over. "You stay here, call me if anything is coming, got it?" You questioned.

Once you got a firm nod from him, you and Hope looked at each other before walking towards the now opened door. But the thing was, you never walked through it and instead his a barrier, which made you and Hope stumble back.

"Barrier spell." Hope breathed out. "It's probably spelled by a dark object, we can't get through." Hope commented.

You let out a frustrated sigh. Why can't one mission just be easy for once? "We're gonna need Lizzie to siphon it." You stated but trailed off when you watched Landon's asilo put his hand through the doorway like nothing was there.

Landon then walked through the door. "It must be to keep people like you out. People like me... humans..." Landon smiled at you two while you both sent him a glare, your glare harder than Hopes. "You said if it's a dark object, anyone can take it down, right?" Landon questioned Hope.

"Theoretically. If you were to go inside without us, which you are so not doing." Hope replied, annoyance laced in her voice.

You crossed your arms over your chest. "Kate, Hope, we don't have a choice. Deep down, you two know I'm right." Landon stated.

It was quiet for a few seconds before you both gave in, knowing he was the only solution. You then let out a sigh as you pinched the bridge of your nose. ""Okay, Landon, once you get inside, you're looking for a totem that emanates black magic, like a, uh... a bell or-"

"A candle? I got it." Landon cut you off.

"Landon!" You called, causing him to become quiet and pay attention to you. "Once you break the spell, please hide until we get there." You ordered, not wanting to lose him.

Landon then stepped forward a bit. "Hey, don't worry. I'm just Obi-Wan. I'm going to take down the tractor beam so the heroes can save the world." He responded.

"He dies, Lan." You responded, your voice lower now.

Landon thought for a moment. "Okay, you got a point, but you only know that because I forced you to watch the Star Wars movies when we were little. And second, there are two more good sequels, and we're going to watch them all again." Landon stated, causing your eyes to widen slightly as you kind of didn't want to watch them again.

"Please don't prom-" You started to comment.

"I promise!" Landon yelled from running up the stairs, causing you to groan.
