RECAP

"Yeah, see, it turns out that's just a guideline. Kind of like driving a car or smoking cigarettes. Nobody wants you to do it before you're old enough, but you can." Josie explained rather quickly, not bothering to hear any of your responses. "So. I'll see you three tonight? Finger foods at around seven thirty-ish and then the Merge at eight." Josie stated the times of what was happening tonight.

Josie then looked at you and Hope before back to Lizzie. "Oh, and don't be late, Lizzie, or else I will have to do something drastic." Josie explained, threatening her twin before smirking and walking away.

Lizzie looked over at you and Hope who also looked at her. You were more worried than Hope since you and Lizzie had gotten close ever since she was the only one who actually remembered you, besides Hope. Lizzie was the only one who actually decided to spend her time with you, besides Hope.

————

Lizzie had dragged you and Hope to her room, on the way she had also grabbed MG. Once you were all in there she shut the door and went straight to her drawer. You and Hope walked up to her, on opposite sides. "I thought you wanted to help." Hope commented as she watched Lizzie open the drawer.

"That was before I knew that Josie wanted to merge," She started, grabbing a few clothes before shutting the drawer compartment and walking to her bed. "aka force a battle of wills where the winner literally absorbs the loser... meaning me." She sadly stated, closing her suit case.

Lizzie then started zipping up the suit case. "Please, just hear them out. Because we can't help Jo without you." MG tried convincing the blonde. This caused her to stop what she was doing and let out a sigh, turning around to face the three of you.

Shen the crossed her arms over her chest. "Five minutes, Mikaelson, you too Lockwood." Lizzie said, listening to MG. "And this plan of yours had better include a nuclear warhead." Lizzie stated before you both could start, sitting down on her bed couch.

You sucked in a breathe. "We're making a potion-"

"Oh! Fizzy, refreshing. Not a nuke." Lizzie commented, she was really hoping for a nuclear bomb.

You let out a frustrated sigh, letting your head fall into your hands. "Lizzie? Please." Hope stated calmly.

Lizzie closed her eyes, calming down. "Okay. Tell me about this potion." She stated, wanting to know now.

You looked up at her, letting your hands fall to your side. "This potion will create a fortified position within your soul when you merge with Josie." You explained.

Lizzie then stood up, causing you to stop when she did so, knowing something annoyed her in that sentence. "What do you mean 'when'?" She questioned, scared.

"Well, there's really no way around that part. But if this works, it'll create a safe space in your mind, divide Josie's consciousness and yours when you absorb her." Hope added onto your explanation.

MG looked between you and Hope before at the blonde. "And after we detox her with a dark magic cleanse, we'll be able to put Jo's mind back into her body." MG continued.

You then looked back to Lizzie from MG. "And, uh, the both of you will be normal... ish." You stated, unsure about the 'normal' part.

Lizzie seemed she was processing the information since she looked scared out of her mind. "Okay... you said when I absorb her. Does this stupid plan only work if I win?" Lizzie questioned.

"Technically, yes." Hope replied immediately.

MG held up his hands, them kind of looking like finger guns. "But... we believe in you." MG tried comforting the siphon.

"Well, there's your first mistake right there, okay? I am my biggest fan and even I know that Lord Josiemort is gonna squash me like a bug." Lizzie explained, rambling as she stared into MGs eyes.

MG watched the scared Saltzman, his voice remaining calm. "That's why I'm here." MG commented.

Lizzie looked at him in disbelief. "To clean up my bug guts?!" Lizzie exclaimed.

That comment caused you to snort at it, only for you to get a fit to the stomach from Hope. You slightly bent over and held onto your stomach, knowing tha Hope wasn't happy with you laughing at Lizzies comment. Lizzie on the other hand seemed to have ignored you.

MG just looked confused. "No." He said, ignoring your snort. "To train you." MG stated, earning Lizzie to turn her head in disbelief. MG had explained what he wanted to do to train her.

He was now punching the air, causing you to bite your bottom lip to stop yourself from laughing with how funny he looked just punching the air. Hope saw you getting ready to laugh and sent you a glare, causing you to step away from her to stand next to Lizzie.

MG let out grunts as he punched the air. "Seriously?" Lizzie questioned. "The Merge is a mental battle, MG, not Ninja Warrior or whatever is in your head." Lizzie scolded.

MG looked over at Lizzie, playing with his hands. "W-Well, I can train your brain, too. I'm all about mind over matter." MG fake laughed.

"Lizzie's right." Hope stated, MG looking over at her. "We need to find a witch that can help her." Hope stated.

"No need. If we want to find out if I'm strong enough to win, I know exactly what witch can tell us." Lizzie commented, pushing past the three of you and towards her door, as soon as she opened it, she turned to the right, the door closing shortly after.

————

Lizzie was with Alyssa apparently and as soon as they were done, Josie had come in and killed Alyssa, causing Lizzie to get you and Hope to which you both brought Jed and Kaleb.

Jed had laid Alyssas dead body down on the couch, just starring at her dead figure. "You're gonna stop her, right?" Jed questioned, turning around to face Hope who leant on a chair, to Kaleb who was standing up with his hands in his pockets, and you leaning on the opposite chair. "That's what you do, isn't it? Take out monsters?" Jed exclaimed when he didn't get can answer from any of you guys.

Jed had taken a few steps forward, towards Hope would caused you to push off the chair, ready in case he did anything. Kaleb saw how you reacted to him and went in front of Hope. "Okay, man, come on, let's-let's get you some air, all right?" Kaleb questioned, Jed obviously just did what he said as he walked out a door with Kaleb behind him.

As the door opened, the two left but MG walked in. "Lizzie's car is gone." MG stated to you and Hope. "She bolted." MG concluded, the sound of a door shutting came from Kaleb. MG then looked over at Alyssa. "Is she... ?" MG questioned, causing you to nod once.

"I knew Josie was dangerous... I just didn't think that she was capable of something like this." Hope responded, not taking her eyes off of the body no matter how hard she tried to look away.

MG stayed quiet, walking towards her body. "It's my fault. If I could've just gotten through to her..." MG trailed off, taking all of the guilt.

"Like I keep saying, there is no getting through to her." Kaleb interrupted, you and Hope looking up at him.

You glared at Kaleb. "We are not giving up on her, Kaleb, okay? No matter how much you want too, we are not." You stated to the vampire. "And besides, the only way to protect this school is to bring the real her back." You stated, in a much calmer tone.

"Tell that to Alyssa, Hope." Kaleb retorted.

You let out a deep breathe and covered your eyes with your hands, growing sick and tired of bickering about what to do. "If we give up now, she'll have died for nothing. So we have to stick to the plan." Hope cut in, she then looked over at MG. "And you need to bring Lizzie back." Hope commented.

MG gave the auburn haired girl a confused look. "She needs you, MG." Hope stated, getting up from her seat on the arm rest. "We all do." Hope finished. MG looked down before vamp speeding out of the room.

Kaleb chuckled lightly as Hope turned around. Kaleb then walked towards the shelf. "What are you doing?" You and Hope asked at the same time.

The vampire grabbed a book, pulling at it before it clicked. "What you won't." He stated. The shelf-door thing then opened, revealing a closet full of weapons. Kaleb then grabbed a crossbow. "Putting together a plan B." he then grabbed crossbow arrows and walked out of the room. "In case you're wrong." Kaleb finished.

You then looked down at the therapy box Hope had used on Alaric. "We can't let you do that." You stated, looking up at him.

"Yeah, and what are you gonna do to stop me, Kate?" He questioned, the crossbow sitting on his shoulder. You lifted your hand, moving it from the side to face Kaleb and shut your hand.

This caused the box to turn towards Kaleb and open up, revealing a bright light. Kaleb looked down at the box, confused, until he realised but it was to late and he had fallen unconscious. "Smart." Hope commented, the box lid now closed shut.

"Thank you." You responded, faking to take off a hat and bow. Hope just laughed at your humour. The laughter died down as you guys fell into a comfortable silence. "I know you want to help save Josie, but I can't risk you getting hurt." You said after a while.

Hope gave you a confused look, moving to be in front of you. "What do you mean?" She questioned.

You let out a sigh. "I mean, you're not going to be apart of the plan anymore." You responded but you didn't give Hope time to respond as you grabbed a book from the table and smashed it against her head, sending her unconscious. It's not the best way but casting a spell would've taken longer.

You then grabbed Hope and placed her on the chair, moving a few strands of hair out of her face before walking out of the room. You need to ask Landon for a favour, even after not speaking to him.

————

You sat on Landons bed and played with your fingers, waiting for him to come back. You heard footsteps coming up the steps and looked over seeing Landon holding a tray of something and him come to a halt as he saw you. "Hey." He said, looking around the room, like he was frantic or something.

"Hey. Do you have a second to talk?" You questioned, standing up. "I kind of need a favour."

"Um... uh, where's Raf?" Landon questioned, obviously worried for Rafael.

You shot him a confused look, getting worried from his worry. "He said he was going out." You replied.

Landon placed the tray down before pointing at the bed. "Okay. That's weird." He commented.

You sent him a confused look again as to why a bed would be weird. "Uh, why? Is something wrong?" You questioned.

"Uh, I don't know. Maybe. Although..." Landon then walked over to you, stopping in front of you. "I could ask you the same thing." Landon retorted, basically throwing the fact you were ignoring him in your face.

You crossed your arms over your chest. "I'm sorry, Landon. I know I'm being weird and all." You stated.

"That therapy game made you think that you have to make a choice between the people you care about the most and that practically meant choosing them over me." Landon summarised why you were ignoring him.

You were left speechless before smiling lightly. "Raf told you." You commented, your smile growing slightly.

Landon shrugged. "He's our best friend." Landon reminded you.

"I know. I could never forget. But I figured that he would. I just... I didn't know how to tell you myself." You explained why you felt it was difficult to tell him why you were ignoring him.

Landon shook his head. "It's all good. But for future reference, I'm not going anywhere. There's literally nothing you can do to push me away. And it just so happens I'm an immortal phoenix, so you're kind of stuck with me." Landon replied, not taking anything you did to heart. "Forever." He added.

You laughed, placing your hand on your hips. "Oh lord, might as well just kill me now." You joked, earning a slightly from Landon, causing you both to laugh even more.

Once the laughter died down, he decided to continue speaking. "What do you need?" He questioned you afterwards.

You played with your hands once again. "I need to figure out a way to protect both the school and Josie. I just don't know if I'm able do both." You explained to him the favour.

"I know you can." Landon said without any hesitation. "You always do." He added.

You sent him a thank you look. "Thanks, but usually that's Hopes job, for some reason I've decided to just take over." You replied, unsure of why you actually decided to continue the plan by yourself. "And I'm glad you think that, because I actually need your help with plan B." You continued.

Landon furrowed his eyebrows, his smile faltering slightly. "What's wrong with plan A?" He questioned.

You were about to answer until static from the P.A. system interrupted you. "It's party time, Stallions! Report to the gym, or else." The Necromancers voice echoed through the room.

Your breathe hitched as you realised who he was. "Oh, my God." You breathed out.
