RECAP

ALyssa then cleared her throat, earning a stern look from Lizzie. "Don't!" She ordered. "Yes, she messed up. But you've been messed up your whole life, and we have all had to deal with it." Lizzie fired, earning a harder glare from Alyssa. "So, with a gentle reminder that I know where you all live..." She stated randomly. "...who votes for me?" She questioned, everyone putting their hands up beside Alyssa and Josie.

Lizzie then smirked at Alyssa. "I truly appreciate everyone's support. And for my first pick as captain? Josie." She walked up to her sister and wrapped and arm around her shoulder.

"Cool." Alyssa commented. "Because MG told me I get to pick the game." Alyssa recalled, tilting her head.

"Quit playing games." Alaric exclaimed to the Necromancer. "Are you telling me you're not powerful enough to force him into his body?" Alaric questioned, growing agitated.

The Necromancer glared at ALaric once he said that. "Not powerful enough?" He repeated, gasping afterwards. Hope and Rafael only looking between the two of them. "I am the lord of the restless dead. The judge of all men's fates. I swim laps in the River Styx. But even I have..." He trailed off, groaning as he was admitting he can't put Landon back by himself. "...limitations." He paused.

"Technically, I can only raise a spirit to life if the spirit or the host is willing." The Necromancer explained, walking away from Ric.

"Well, that's a big technicality." Alaric retorts.

Landon then spoke up. "At least it matches his ego." Landon commented.

The Necromancer then turned back around to face Alaric but instead looked to Landon. "Never has a soul been so stubborn as to refuse my gracious offer to return to this realm." The Necromancer stated, getting up close to Landon.

"Fine." Alaric breathed out. "We will convince Landon, okay? But what about Kate?" Alaric questioned.

The Necromancer only laughed at his questioned. "Oh, honestly," He wrapped an arm around Ric. "the last thing I need is Tribrid hellfire raining down—"

"You do realise I'm a Tribrid as well, right?" Hope reminded the Necromancer, causing his smile to falter.

The Necromancer continued, ignoring Hope. "—on me over this, so maybe us chaps just keep this under our chapeaus until—" Once again, he didn't get to finish.

Alaric then grabbed The Necromancers shirt and held him in front of him, earning a grunt to escape his lips. "What did you do to her?!" Alaric yelled in his face.

The Necromancer forced Alarics hands away. "What are you blathering about?" He questioned.

"What's wrong with Kate?" Landon questioned.

The room became quiet as no one spoke up. Rafael turned to face Landon before looking away, not wanting to make eye contact. "She won't wake up. And we think that it has something to do with the black magic." He directed his last sentence at The Necromancer.

"That's not me." The Necromancer said, it actually sounding genuine. "I haven't even gotten full use of the magic yet." The Necromancer continued.

Alaric let out a sigh, watching as Hope went to say something, most likely filled the sadness, rage, guilt, whatever you want to call it because she's been bottling it up but stopped her, earning her to let out a angered sigh. "You think you can work on Landon while I figure out what happened to Kate?" Alaric questioned Rafael.

Hope decided to go with Alaric since she wanted to be there when you woke up.

"This is gonna be a disaster. We need to rethink this." Josie said to Lizzie.

Lizzie only looked at her sister, smiling slightly. "No way, Jo-say," She said in a high pitched voice but then returned to her normal voice. "because as stirring and intentionally terrifying as my speech was, do you know what speaks louder than words?" She questioned.

"Actions." She stated. "Winning." Lizzie said at the same time.

Both of them stopped talking since they thought of different answers. "Alyssa wormed her way on to a team full of vampires and werewolves and chose tug-of-war." Josie stated, Lizzie and her looking back Alyssa talking to Jed and Kaleb. "I mean, this rope weighs more than me. I shouldn't be the anchor." Josie tried getting out of being the anchor.

Lizzie looked back at her sister, trying to comfort her the best she can. "Not after you cast immobilus." Lizzie said in a low voice.

Josie shook her head at Lizzie. "No, I can't do that-"

"Don't think of it as cheating. Okay? Think of it as, uh... taking action. The perfect hero move." Lizzie explained, not giving her sister a chance to explain that she took her magic away.

"No, no, no. Lizzie, Lizzie, no, no, no-" Josie tried gaining her sisters attention but Lizzie only walked to the front of the rope.

Just then the whistle MG had blew, initiating that the tug-of-war was about to start. "All right, Salvatore Stallions! Is everybody ready for some friendly inter-faction competition?" He called out to the group of supernaturals, earning cheering.

"Lizzie!" Josie tried getting her sisters attention.

"Thank you for your words of encouragement, Jo. I think I speak for us all when I say it lifts our spirits to victory." Lizzie stopped her sister. She then moved over to MG, holding the rope still. "We're ready. Blow the damn whistle." She ordered.

MG listened and blew the whistle, both teams standing their ground and for the cheering to become louder. "Jo, what are you waiting for?!" Lizzie exclaimed, hoping she was loud enough for Josie to hear so she can cast the spell.

Josie heard her sister. "I told you, I can't!" She exclaimed back.

"Come on!" Kaleb called to his group.

Lizzie screamed as she was about to go into the mud. "Abort! Abort!" She yelled out, the rest off the team following her but because of the wait suddenly being taken off, Alyssas group pulled Josie into the mud pit.

This only earned the crowd to 'ooh' because of the impact but then some of them started to laugh, especially Alyssa. Josie grunted as she pushed herself out of the mud. Alyssa walked forward so she could speak to Josie. "So... Josie's a mud monster like Malivore. It all makes sense now." Alyssa bullied, earning laughter from the students.

Josie only looked down, upset, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone. Lizzie them moved to help her sister out of the pit. "Don't look at me like that. This never would've happened if you had just cast the spell sooner." Lizzie commented.

"Or if you'd just listened to me. I can't do magic, Lizzie! I put it away." Josie explained, tears in her eyes.

Lizzie stayed quiet for a bit before speaking up. "What?" She gasped. "Why the hell would you do that without telling me?" Lizzie questioned.

"I tried." Josie replied straight away.

MG decided to cut in when Lizzie didn't say anything. "It's okay, Jo. We're listening now." MG stated.

Josie looked from MG back to Lizzie. "You trying to help is the problem. Everybody should be mad at me for what I did. And you trying, it doesn't change anything." Josie explained to her sister. Lizzie bit the inside of her mouth to stop herself from crying. "You're making everything worse, like you used to." Lizzie then looked down when Josie said that. "So please, please just let me deal with this on my own." Josie stated, picking at the mud on her.

"Jo..." Lizzie trailed off.

"Stop." Josie exclaimed harshly but not in a rude voice. "I'm sorry." She apologised, going to leave but stopped once all the mud suddenly dripped off of her like water. "Um... that wasn't me. No magic, remember?" Josie stated, hands in the air.

Wade then spoke up. "I can explain." Wades voice then got everyone's attention. "Kind of. Or, well, she can." Wade then moved out of the way and girl who was blue appeared.

"I am Nimue, the Lady of the Lake. Protector of Excalibur, the enchanted blade of kings..." She pointed to the sword Wade held before looking back to everyone else.

Kaleb then cut her off. "Okay, Game of Thrones. We get it." He scolded.

Wade then continued for her. "Translation: she wants the sword that I borrowed from Dr. Saltzman, which, as it turns out, is the actual Excalibur." He explained, a smile on his face. "But anyways, I figured I'd run it by you all first, seeing as odds are fairly high that she's, uh, one of the bad guys." Wade continued.

"Good job, Wade." Lizzie stated, her and MG walking closer to Nimue. "As for you, sister, we do not negotiate with Malivore monsters." MG then motioned for Wade to hand over the sword and so he did.

"If it is monsters you fear, you must give me this blade. For a true monster is magically bound to me by its power and pursues Excalibur as surely as I do. Entrust the sword to me, and I shall take it to the protected isle of Avalon. If you hesitate, this world will surely be plunged into darkness." Nine explained to the two in front of her.

Kaleb snickered at her explanation and only looked down at the ground and covered his mouth. "Sorry. We've been through this sort of thing way too many times." MG explained why Kaleb laughed.

Just then heavy footsteps were hear din the distance. This caused everyone to look over at see a guy coming closer but get slower with each step, just like Nimue said. The monster then roared. "On second thought, maybe you should give her the sword." Lizzie stated quickly.

MG nodded, agreeing with her but as he went to give her the sword, the sword then began to be pulled in the opposite direction. "I'm afraid it is too late." Nimue stated.

"MG, are you okay?" Josie asked.

MG strained as he struggled to keep a hold on the sword. "I-I can't control it." He stated and gave upon holding it and watched as the sword flew into a rock, now lodged and most likely stuck.

Jus the thunder rumbled as clouds randomly started forming in the sky. "The challenge has begun." Nimue stated. "And only the worthy shall win." She continued.

"What the hell is that thing?" Kaleb questioned as everyone followed Nimue to the sword.

"The Green Knight." She responded. "Once noble and now a monster, his body and soul corrupted and decayed as a result of the power he became unworthy to wield, his thirst for more making him a scourge upon mankind." Nimue explained to the group, stopping at the sword.

"Huh. Well, too bad for him. We already have one of those." She turned around and glared at Alyssa, Alyssa only glaring back.

It was quiet as the two stared at each but Josie decided to speak up. "Why is he moving so slow?" She questioned.

Nimue look at the monster, slowly approaching. "I placed a curse upon him eons ago. As the Green Knight approaches Excalibur, he will move more slowly with each step he takes. But he will reach it. And when last the Green Knight wielded Excalibur, Camelot fell and the Dark Ages began." She explained.

More heavy footsteps were heard. "So how do we stop him?" MG questioned.

"As the Green Knight last held Excalibur, he is its rightful owner. Only a worthy challenger... a champion... may defeat him. Now, I am bound by duty to find one, but if you do not believe yourself capable of it, and you value your lives... now is the time to run." She explained.

The whole group of students ran off, lost likely back to school but Lizzie, Josie, MG, Wade, Kaleb, Jed and Alyssa stayed. Jed put a hand on Wades arm to stop him from leaving.

Kaleb made comments about everyone leaving. "Oh, come one. Really? Everybody?" He questioned.

Just then Pedro ran up to the group, wanting to stay. "Pedro? When did you get here?" Lizzie questioned.

Pedro looked up at Lizzie. "The lower school's finger painting. This is where I belong." He said confidently and cracked his knuckles.

"Well, you came to the right place, Lady." Jed commented, eyeing the monster before looking over at Nimue. " 'Cause killing monsters is kind of what we do." Jed stated, going to walk over to the monster.

"That is so hot." Alyssa commented, stopping the werewolf.

This only earned confused and disgusted faces. "You're damn right it is. And I'm gonna recycle this tin can." He responded, walking past Alyssa before pausing again to get ready to attack.

He growled as his glowed gold and he started sprinting to the monster. "Wait! Jed, wait!" Kaleb called out but Jed didn't listen.

Jed then growled again as he jumped into the air, high thanks to his werewolf abilities and went to attacked the monster but the monster threw a punch to his face, earning Jed to be flown back over to the group. Jed and everyone in the group groaned at the possible amount of pain that he just got.

Everyone sent worried looks to Jed as he groaned and move painfully on the ground, holding his back. Just then the monster then roared, earning Pedro to run in fear. "The worthy champion must wield Excalibur. Only its power can fell the Green Knight." Nimue stated, having not telling the group prior.

"Cool. Thanks for telling us that... now." Lizzie commented while Kaleb raised his arms in annoyance.

"So, who's it gonna be?" Alyssa commented, everyone looking at each other before looking over at the monster who kept getting slower as he walked got closer to them.

While Alaric sat in his office trying to find a way to bring you back, Hope was sat on a chair, next to you. As she looked over you, all she could think about was the thought of you never regaining consciousness and staying like this forever, this only caused tears to form in her eyes.

She let out a sigh, thinking if she spoke to you, you would be able to hear her. "I don't know if you can hear me right now," Hopes voice cracked as she held your hand. "But I'm hoping you can." She paused again, biting her bottom lip to stop her from crying but it failed since tears fell.

"Baby," Her voice hovered just above a whisper. "I can study every sleep spell ever made, but..." She let out a shaky sigh. "I think we both know you aren't waking up because deep down inside..." She looked over at Landons body momentarily. "You know that Landon is dead." She stated, nodding briefly.

"And the fact that you know that if you wake up, you're gonna have to face that grief tells me that you're scared but I'm telling you that you don't have to be because as somebody who has experienced grief more times than I can count, you are allowed to be scared." Hope explained, moving to sit on the bed to be closer to you.

She let out another shaky sigh. "But the truth is, baby... we need you here." Hope looked over at Landon again before back to you. "Landon needs you." Hope exasperated. "I need you." She whispered, planting a soft kiss on your forehead.
