Previously on Power Rangers

"So nice to see you again," Madam Odus said, walking towards Hayley holding the antidote.
"Here is the antidote. Now give me the ninja power stars." she instructed, and the two slowly reached out their hands to get what they wanted. But what if they trick us? What if she doesn't give us the antidote? Will it even work? What if it makes me even worse?

*Present, Kaylee POV*

We watched as Hayley and Madam Odius cautiously trade the items. Hayley quickly grabbed the bottle, dropping the box and ran towards us, opening the bottle.

"You made the right decision rangers," Madam Odius applauded as she opened the box with the power stars. She and Toxitea cackled as Madam Odius showed the box to a buzzcam, claiming victory. We heard footsteps as Hayley put the bottle close to my mouth so i could drink it.

"It's working." Levi pointed as green light surronded me. I was feeling better already. The other came into view, and they didn't look happy.

"I can't believe it. So you did take our power stars." Sarah confronted, looking angry.

"We did, but...." Levi tried to explain their plan, but Brody interrupted.

"Do you know how dangerous this is?!" Brody exclaimed. He seemed worried. But I don't know for what exactly. Levi was gonna say something in defense, but Prestion interfiered.

"How could you do this?" he questioned, sounding devastated.

"It's not what you think." Hayley said, helping me up.

"And you didn't even tell me?" Calvin said, really sad. He couldn't believe his own girlfriend would hide stuff from him. I was getting annoyed with them, not giving Hayley and Levi the chance to explain.

"Guys enough!" I exclaimed, rising up quickly. Everyone stopped talking and looked at me, surprised.
"You don't even know what they did. And by not giving them the chance to explain won't help." I argued with them. They slightly lowered their heads down.
"What they did was really clever and....." I was explaining, but I was interrupted. Seriously again. But it wasn't from the others. It was from Toxitea.

"Hold up. The power stars are melting." Toxitea pointed out, looking at the box with all the power stars.

"They're chocolate. They fooled us." Madam Odius stretched apart the chocolate black power star. The others looked shocked.

*a few minutes earlier*.
3rd person perspective

Levi, Hayley, and Kaylee were looking for a buzz cam so they could attract Odius. Kaylee's legs were slowly giving up. It didn't look like she could last much longer.

"So, are you going to explain your plan, or are you gonna carry me like some ragdoll?" Kaylee questioned, making a joke in the process as they walked through a quiet part of a park.

"Oh yeah, sorry...... Well, we thought of making chocolate versions of the power stars. That's why we took them." Hayley explained a slight chuckle at the beginning.

"Oh, that's rather smart." Kaylee gave a compliment with a slight smile.

"But, we aren't sure if they'll make it." Levi added, a little bit nervous.

"What do you mean?" Kaylee asked, holding on tigher.

"You see, we have a problem that the chocolate will melt. So we hope we get the antidote before we get caught." Levi explained while Kaylee had her mouth wide open.

"And you're telling me this now!!" She exclaimed and lost her balance, her legs shaking and almost falling, but Hayley and Levi held her close.
"So I'm gonna die either way." She whined, getting back on her feet.

"Don't worry. It will work, I promise." Hayley reassured her sister.

"It better, or else I will be haunting you in your sleep, and that promise will stay." Kaylee threatened, sending slight shivers down her sister's spine.
Before anyone could say anything, Kaylee heard a buzzing.
"Guys, look!" She said, pointing at the buzzcam. They looked at it and followed it to a forest.

*Present Kaylee's POV*

"Still haven't fixed that melting problem." Hayley mentioned, looking at Levi with her hands intertwined.

"Dont worry, guys. We'd never hand over the power stars." Levi reassured, taking out the real power stars.
"We just needed these to make the chocolate copies." He continued giving each their significant power star. Sarah held her power star close to her chest as the others breathed in relief. Levi then handed me my power star, and our hands lightly touched, but I felt it. A few butterflies flapped their wings in my stomach, but not that strongly.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Aiden asked me, taking me out of my thoughts. I turmed my head to him, just now realising he came.

"More than 10000%. Now, how about you leave the power rangers take out the trash?" I replied with a grin.

"You got it." He answered and patted my back. I slightly shivered but focused on the task at hand.

"For your treachery, you will all be destroyed." Madam Odius threatened, but none of us reacted.

"You guys never learn." Brody said, talking a few steps forward.

"That you shouldn't mess with ninjas." I added, standing next to him. Madam Odius and Toxitea reacted surprises but angry.

"It's morphing time! Power stars! " Brody exclaimed as we took out our power stars.

"Lock in! Ready! Ninja spin!" we yelled as we locked in our stars and spin them, morphing into rangers.

"Ninja rangers, fear no danger." Brody shouted as we struck a pose.

"Toxitea, take care of this mess." Odius instructed and quickly ran away.

"I'll get Odius and let you guys crush this kettle." Brody, informed and was about to run, but i stepped in.

"Im coming with you," I told him. His body language showed that he didn't want to, but i stepped closer, and he agreed by tilting his head to where Odius tan off to. I grinned under my helmet, and we ran to catch that witch. We continued running after her, but unfortunately, we lost her.

"Where did that crafty witch go?" Brody questioned as he took a stop to look around. Suddenly, a group of kudaboys jumped in and started to attack.

"Looks as if she's too scared to get a scratch on her face." i mentioned as we blocked some of the kudabots' hits. We flipped to dodge the attacks.

"Take a seat." Brody said as he swung his sword at them. So were coming for me, so i jumped over them, giving them a nice kick in the head. I swung my sword to deflect an attack and kicked a kudabot from behind me. Then shots were fired from the trees.

"Woah, Odius sent an entire raid." i pointed out as i flipped closer to Brody, dodging the blasts. I pulled out my ninja blaster and aimed at them.
"Ninja blaster, whiplash!" i exclaimed and took the kudaboys from the trees out.

"Heads up." i heard Brody shout as i saw him swinging in the air and landing on a kudabot, his legs wrapped around its neck.

"How about we give him a farewell gift." i suggested hoping he got my idea as i went next to him.

"Let's do this." Brody replied, throwing his sword and catching it.

"Red and black ninja strike, steel slash!" we yelled, pressing the red button on our swords and resting them on our shoulders
"Ninja spin! " we spun our stars and slashed a few boys with spped and ease. Then we jumped into the air.
"Final attack!" we exclaimed, spinning like tornadoes and finishing the remaining bots off. We jumped away as they exploded.

"That was no walk in the park." Brody said as we stood up and looked at the flames fading.

"No kidding. Let's go check on the others." i suggested. He nodded, and we ran to the park. We spotted them giving Levi and Prestion high-fives. Looks like they beat Toxitea.

"Great work, team." Brody congratulated as we ran to them.

"Kaylee, how are you feeling?" Levi asked as everyone looked at me.

"Like i got a B in german," i answered with a smile that they couldn't see. They started laughing. We were walking back to the base, but....what do you know, we have a gigantified Toxitea. I could hear gasps from behind.

"That's one big kettle." Hayley said. After a few seconds of silence, everyone turned their heads at me.

"What?" i asked them, simply confused with the looking.

"Arent you gonna complain about this." Calvin asked, and I swear i could hear him raising an eyebrow.

"Honestly, it has happened so many times, Im not even surprised anymore." I answered neutral.
"Well, any who." I started tilting my head from side to side and taking in front of everyone.
"Time to put this tea out cold." I continued, throwing my zord star and then catching it.

"Care for some assistance?" Levi asked as he and Brody stepped closer to me.

"That would be delightful." I replied with my hand on my chest
"Pheonix zord star!" I shouted, locking my zord star in my sword

"Robo-red zord star, lock in!" Brody exclaimed, repeating my motions

"Bull rider zord star, lock In!" Levi yelled, coping us.

"Activate! Ninja spin!" We exclaimed, spinning our stars, and our zords appeared. We jumped so we could land on our zords. Levi was only on Robo-rider that looked like Robo-red, but it was blue, and its eyes were stars.

"Alright, Toxitea, you got us steamed up." Brody told her as the zords got in a fighting stance, and I flew between them.

"And you're gonna pay." Levi added, and they ran to attack.

"Oh really?" Toxitea questioned, quite surprised. Robo-red and Robo-rider threw a few hits and kicks at Toxitea. She couldn't dodge any of them.
"That all you got?" She challenged as i flew past her, slashing her.
"I barely felt that." She taunted but didn't get the high and was just bring attacked. Robo-red was about to hit her again, but she dodged and pushed him away.

"She's mighty tough." Levi commented, looking at Brody.

"Let's see how she likes this." Brody said and ran to punch Toxitea, but she moved to the side.

"Can you handle this." She challenged, and blasts were shot from her fingers. I could dodged but Levi and Brody couldn't.

"I can. But can you. Pheonix zord. Lightning bolts!" I exclaimed, and Lightning was shooted from its eyes. She dodged a few, but the last one hit her in the chest, and she backed away.

"Jump on, guys!" I heard Prestion shout as he and the other rangers came with their zords.

"Team attack." Levi said, and Robo-rider threw Robo-red onto Prestion's zord. Robo-rider grabbed onto the dragons  feet.

"Get her Levi." Brody told him. Robo-rider let go and flipped in the air, crashing onto Toxitea.

"Now that was a wicked trick." I commented as I flew to Prestion and Brody.

"Let's finish her with our megazords." Sarah suggested that sounded like a great idea.

"Bull-rider megazord, combine! Ninja spin!" Levi shouted, spinning his zord star and his zords combined.
"Bull-rider megazord, ready!" He yelled once the megazord was complete.

"Ninja Steel megazord, combine!" Brody exclaimed, spinning his zord star, and all the zords went to their spots.

"Robo-red zord!" Brody shouted.

"Dragon zord!" Prestion exclaimed.

"Ninja Steel zords!" Calvin, Hayley, Sarah, and I exclaimed, and all zords were in the right positions.

"Ninja Steel Megazord, ready!" Brody exclaimed once the megazord was complete.

"Ninja spin!" We yelled as we spun our master mode stars. We entered the cockpit and took out our swords from the dashboards.
"Let's take this teapot out." Brody pointed the master blade in her direction.

"I'm with you, Brody," Levi said, agreeing with the idea.

"This isn't my cup of tea." Toxitea said, not liking the view of the megazords.

"Ninja master blade, activate." Brody shouted and spun his star, activating the master blade.

"Ninja Steel megazord, master slash!" We yelled as we held our swords in the air.

"Bull-rider megazord, rodeo rapid fire." Levi exclaimed as the megazord lifted up its gun.

"Final attack!" Everyone shouted as the ninja steel megazord swung its sword, and the Bull-rider megazord shot its gun. The final attacks knocked down Toxitea as she screamed and exploded. The megazords turned around. Everyone jumped as we cheered for our victory.

"Great job." Levi congratulated.

"Shows over, ninjas win." Brody announced our victory. The megazords powered down, and we jumped out.

*An hour later, Levi's POV*
It was now the children's charity event at school, and everyone was trying the chocolate sculptures they made. Hayley and I were thinking about how to talk to Aiden. When we saw him fighting to save others and how he cared for Kaylee, we wanted to apologise for our words from the morning.

"Aiden," Hayley called out, getting Brody and Aiden's attention.
"We need to apologise for this morning." She started apologising, looking at me, then back at him.
"It seemed like you just wanted to show off." She continued as Aiden took it all in.

"But then we saw you helping to save those people." I added.

"And you really stood up for Kaylee. We were wrong about you." Hayley finished with a sad smile. That about Kaylee, I had to suck up, but I would be the same if I was in his place.

"Thanks, don't sweat it." Aiden accepted our apology.
"I was being a jerk during training. You guys have taught me a lot about teamwork today." He confessed as Brody put his hand on Aiden's shoulder.
"And don't worry. I'll go easy on you next time." He taunted, lightly hitting my lower chest. I could hear some chuckles and 'ooooohh's (i don't know how to spell it any other way). I laughed and playfully punched him in the stomach.

"Hey, where is Kaylee anyway?" Prestion asked from behind me. I shrugged my shoulders since i also had no idea where she was.

"I think she's over there." Sarah said, pointing to where she was. She was dancing with some of the kids who were here for the event. The way her hair swayed as she turned was mesmerizing to watch. I felt someone elbowing me in the stomach. I turned to look at Hayley, who was smirking at me. I quickly looked away, but a small blush appeared on my cheeks.

"Hey guys." Someone greeted. It was Kaylee. She walked to the table where the chocolate was and broke a piece. She then took a bite of it.
"Mmm, delicioso." She hummed as she took another bite.

"What were you doing with those kids?" Calvin asked. Kaylee swallowed the chocolate before answering.

"Well, I work as a babysitter on weekends, so Mrs. Finch asked me if I could distract them since there was a big surprise for them." She then ate the last piece of chocolate in her hand before standing next to me and Hayley.

"That's very sweet of you, Kaylee." Aiden complimented, taking a step forward, but I could feel Kaylee tense up since her arm was touching mine. What was that about?

"Um, thank you, Aiden." She replied with a nervous smile. Before anyone could say anything, Monty walked past us.

"Victor, where are you?" Monty called out for Victor. Then
Mrs. Finch started to clap.

"Kids, come on in. Kids, please have a seat." She called out as the kids ran to the main area and sat in their seats. This must be the surprise. We walked to get a closer look. Kaylee was right next to me, and I again could feel her tense up. Out of instinct, I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to my side. Her hand kinda relaxed, and she put her other one on my forearm.
"Okay, I have saved the best sculpture for last." She announced, and there was something big, covered with a sheet.
"Are you ready?" She pulled the sheet, and it was a human size chocolate sculpture.

"Ahh, Victor!" Monty exclaimed from behind us. I squinted my eyes to see that it did look like Victor.

"Go on, kids, gobble it up." Mrs. Finch said, and the kids ran to the sculpture. It started to sway a bit, and just as kids were about to touch it, the sculpture fell to the ground. Victor then emerged from the broken piece, all brown. The kids ran away, shocked and scared to their parents, but Monty ran right to Victor. Some even ran close to Kaylee. That was sweet. Kaylee let go of me so she could hug the kids.

"It's OK, don't worry. Here, how about we go and get some non-moving chocolate and go to mom and dad, okay." She reassured them and walked to the table with the rest of the chocolate. That girl is getting more amazing by the second. But I still want to know why she tensed up so much. After she bid the kids goodbye, I walked to her.

"Hey Kaylee, can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked. She turned around and smiled at me.

"Sure, Levi. What's the matter?" She replied. I took a breath and asked her.

"Why were you so tense back there? And why are you so nervous around Aiden?" I asked my questions. She tensed again.

"What?! Don't be ridiculous, " she tried to ignore what I said, but I didn't let go.

"Kaylee, even now you're tensed up." I argued. She sighed, knowing that this conversation won't end without an answer.
"I don't want to pressure you to tell me, but I wanna know you're okay. " I told her in a rather soft voice. I care about this girl.

"Well.......okay, I'll tell you. But maybe somewhere more secluded. This conversation is too personal for others to hear." She said. I nodded and held my hand for her to take. She hesitantly took it, and we walked to the shop classroom. No one was there. She let go of my hand and sat on the table where she layed on when she was poisoned. I stood in front of her but kept my distance.

"So what happened?" I asked with calmness in my voice. If I'm calm, she'll tell me more easily.

"Okay, it all started when I went to go check up on Aiden this morning.

*earlier in the morning, Kaylee's POV*

I went to the base o get my clothes to change in. There's a nice changing room but it's for one person so we take turns to change in it. When I change into my clothes, I went to check on Aiden. I waited the base through the secret entrance that led to the shop classroom. Just as I got out, Aiden entered the room.

"Oh Aiden." I called out to get his attention. He looked at me and smiled.

"Hey Kaylee what's happening." He said and walked to me.

"Well I wanted to apologise for Levi and Hayley's words. They don't know what you've been through." I apologised with my hands intertwined.

"Oh its okay. I was actually being kind of a jerk. I just haven't fought in so long, I just wanted to show what I can do. I ddnt want them to think of me as a slob." He explained.

"I understand and I'm sure they would too if they listened to you." I told him patting his shoulder. There was an awkward silence.

"I have to tell you something." We said at the same time. We looked at each other and started to laugh.

"You go first." Aiden let me say. I took a deep breath.

"Okay, never really thought I would be saying these words." I mumbled to myself.
"Aiden, I have liked you for quite the time ever since we met at summer camp." I confessed with my hands behind my back.

"Oh well that's what I was gonna say." Aiden confessed and he took a step forward. He does? Wow. I have been waiting to hear those words for ages. But why don't I feel happy as I thought I would. It did lift some sort of weight of my shoulders but I just dont feel satisfied.

My thoughts were Interrupted when I felt Aiden pull me in by the waist. He was about to give me a kiss, but I put my hand on his chest and pushed him away slightly

"What's the matter?" He asked me. I sighed and removed myself from his arms.

"Aiden, as much as I wanted to do this, to be able to hear those words I have hoped to hear from your mouth, it just doesn't feel right." I explained to him. He walked closer to me and I walked backwards

"Is it because of that Levi guy?" He asked and continued to walk closer. I kept walking backwards until mu back hit the wall.

"No, why would it be because of Levi?" I questioned as he got closer to my face. I could feel myself start to panic.

"I saw how you looked at him during training. Kaylee, I waited so long to confess to you and you just replaced me with the cowboy?!" He exclaimed the last part. I panicked more bit held myself together.

"First of all, don't talk about Levi like that. And second, it's nothing to do with him. I have waited too Aiden! You left, you broke our promise and during the time I didn't know you were running away from monsters! Those feelings started to fade away! But when you came, I just felt like  had to tell you." I was starting to yell at him and before I knew it, he slapped me in the face. He backed away with shock and looked at his hand then at me. I held my face as I stared at him.

"Kaylee I'm so sorry I didn't......." he was apologising but I didn't want to listen and just ran out of the room and went to the snack stop. I decided to get a milkshake to try and calm myself down. I sat down and started drinking. I kept thinking about what Aiden did that I didn't realise it has been half an hour since I sat. Then I heard a voice speaking to me.

"Hey Kaylee." Hayley called out.

*Present time Levi's POV*

"That's why I'm so t-tensed around him. I-i am not shock about the slapping, but the fact t-that he c-could do this to m-me and-and...." she finished explaining but she started to panic. Her breathing was becoming more and more uncontrolled. I stepped closer to help her but she shielded her face. She thought that I would hurt her. I could never hurt her in any way. I looked around and spotted her backpack. I walked to it and took out her water bottle. I then walked back to her.

"Okay, Kaylee drink some water and try to calm down. Don't worry, nothings gonna happen." I reassured her quietly, so I don't add more to the panic attack. She took the bottle but her hands were shaking so I held it with her so she could drink. After she swallowed a bit of water, she calmed down, but was still shaking. Without thinking, I gently put my arms around her in a hug. She completely froze and I could tell she wanted me to let go. Unfortunately for her, I didn't. I tightened my hold slightly, but not that much so her panic would increase.

I felt some sort of relief when Kaylee  unfroze and wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in my shoulder. Small sobs were coming from her mouth and it was getting hard to hold it together. Kaylee is a tough girl. There must be something else and the Aiden situation just broke the jar that held all that pain. But that doesn't matter. Right now, I have to be there for her

"T-thank you, Levi." She thanked and we both loosen our hold on each other. Mascara was running down her face with more tears rolling on her cheeks.
"Your shirt. Im so sorry." She started apologising. I turned my head to see my white shirt-wet and black mascara on the shoulder. I shook my head and put my hand behind her head.

"Don't worry about it. You're more important." I pulled her in another hug and she broke down again in tears. I began to play with her hair to calm her down. This poor girl is in  a lot of pain. And I'm glad she's letting me see her raw side.

Aww poor Kaylee. I would give her a hug too. But an exciting point: Levi likes our sweet Kaylee. A lot of people just make Levi and the oc a couple almost immediately. This will be different. And also, the  power ranger industry just cuts out normal things. I make this book not just something to read, but to normalize how life actually is. And I'll try to make sense with the timeliness, since power rangers forget that too. Well that's all from me. Peace out, love you ♡♡
