Season 1 Episode 4 - Enemy of the State(Part 1)

OLIVIA'S APARTMENT
A still tipsy but coherent Mia is sitting on Olivia's kitchen counter, a few hours after Stephen had left and she continued to drink, listening to Liv telling her about the latest news on Amanda.

Mia: "So pregnant?" she asks Liv, almost like she's at a lost for words.

Olivia: "Yes. Pregnant, very very pregnant."

Mia: "Pregnant?" she asks again, still so shocked.

Olivia: "Yes, Mia. Amanda Tanner is pregnant. And I get that you're drunk right now but I've spent enough time with you while you were wasted to know that you can comprehend things just as fast as you would if you were sober. So I need you right now. I need my best friend right now." she whisper yells to not wake Amanda up, who is currently sleeping in Liv's guest bedroom.

Mia: "Okay, um... are we sure it's his? Is she sure?" she questions her after taking a moment to absorb what Liv just said.

Olivia: "I'm sure, Mi." she tells her with a serious look on her face.

Mia: "Okay... well we're gonna have to get a paternity test because even though you're sure the rest of the world is still going to need proof. And does she even want the baby? I mean if we're saying that this is his kid, then this is bigger than just another presidential affair. There's a kid involved now. I mean, what does she even want? Does she know the scrutiny this kid is going to go through if she has it? Like what the hell are we going to—" she starts rambling on before Liv cuts her off.

Olivia: "I have no clue, all I know is that I need a drink."

Mia: "You and me, both." she says as there's a knock on the front door of Olivia's apartment.

Olivia: "I think you may have had enough." she says to her, causing Mia to let out a groan, as Liv goes to answer the door. "She is going to feel that in the morning." she mumbles before opening the door to Stephen holding a bottle of wine.

Stephen: "You know what's interesting about being engaged? Fiancées don't like it when you get out of bed at 3:00 A.M. to go see another woman, especially when they have spent all night with another one. But, you called, I came, and I brought our best friend Shiraz. Liv?" he says before she takes the bottle from him and head back towards the kitchen. Leaving Stephen in the doorway before following after her. "Hey," he briefly greets Mia before turning back to Liv who is struggling to get the bottle open so he takes it away so he can do it for her. "Liv. Hey. Hey. I got it."

Olivia: "Amanda's asleep in the guest room. I don't want to wake her." she informs him as he hands her a glass of red wine.

Stephen: "What's up? Whatever it is, we will fix it." he tries to comfort her as she downs the entire glass. Liv then grabs out five pregnancy test and lays it out in front of him.

Olivia: "You should have seen me forcing water down her throat to make her pee. It was like something out of Abu Ghraib."

Stephen: "Uh, let me get this clear. Amanda Tanner is—"

Mia/Olivia: "Pregnant with the President's baby, yes." they tell him as Liv goes to pour herself another glass.

Stephen: "Right. Are you sure it's his?"

Olivia: "I'm sure."

Stephen: "Liv."

Mia: "She's sure."

Stephen: "How bad is this for you two? I know you're both friends with the President, with his wife. There's no shame in saying that you two can't handle this." he says to her before he looks to Mia, who just shrugs not knowing what to say anymore. Then all of the sudden Olivia's cell phone rings and Mia looks down at it before handing it to her.

Mia: "It's Quinn."

Olivia: "What?" she asks after answering.

Quinn: "You'd better come down to the office. There's an army here."

Olivia: "An army of what? Reporters? Lawyers?" she questions, causing Mia to giggle showing off how drunk she still is.

Mia: "Maybe it's a real army." she whispers to Stephen causing him to look at her with confusion, as Liv continues her call with Quinn.

Stephen: "You continued to drink after I left, didn't you?" he asks her as she just nods.

Quinn: "An actual army." she tells her before Liv hangs up the phone.

Stephen: "Liv."

Olivia: "We gotta go in. I need to put on some decent clothes, and we'll take your car because Mia has had too much to drink and I think I've had too much wine to drive. I'll be ready in two minutes." she states to him.

Stephen: "Liv." he says worryingly.

Olivia: "No, I'm fine. Really. I'm good now. I can handle anything. Two minutes." she reiterates to him as she walks out and he turns to Mia.

Stephen: "You think she's good?"

Mia: "Honestly, I have no clue."

Stephen: "And you?"

Mia: "I'll have a headache in the morning, but other than that I'll be fine. Trust us, Stephen. We have our moments of panic but then we get our shit together and move forward. It's what we do." she says before hopping off the counter and landing with a slight wobble before walking out of the room.

~~~~~
OPA
Abby, Harrison, Huck and Quinn are waiting outside the office by the elevators for Liv, Mia and Stephen.
Quinn: "I didn't know. They barged in. They wouldn't even say who they were."
Abby: "You were alone. You did the right thing."
Quinn: "I should've stopped them. I just surrendered, without a fight. I surrendered the whole office."
~~~

Meanwhile Mia, Olivia and Stephen are riding the elevator going up to the office floor.

Stephen: "How'd you know it was going to be an actually army?"

Mia: "I didn't, I just guessed. I mean it's the best time to guess that. The O.A.S. is happening this week." she says as Liv looks over to her before the elevator doors open.

Olivia: "Who's speaking at the O.A.S.? Who's in town?"

Quinn: "O.A.S.?" she quizzes as they get off the elevator and head for the office door.

Harrison: "Organization of American States. Annual conference this week."

Mia: "Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Haiti, Honduras, oh El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela... " she speedily lists on and on as the others in the group look at her confused at her quick ramblings.

Abby/Harrison: "Drunk Mia?" they ask as Stephen just nods before the group, minus Quinn who is confused with everything, looks towards Olivia.

Stephen: "You think it's the Cubans? They've been wooing us for months."

Huck: "Would you like me to get a gun?"

Quinn: "You have a gun?"

Abby: "I have one, too."

Mia: "I don't own one, but I know how to use one. I'm really good too. I'm a perfe—"

Olivia: "No guns." she tells them all before walking into the office to see that a bunch of soldiers are waiting with mugs of coffee.

Harrison: "You gave them coffee?"

Quinn: "So they wouldn't kill me. And what does 'Drunk Mia' mean?" she quietly asks Harrison.

Harrison: "The way you know Mia is drunk is that she rambles, on and on till someone shuts her up, that's 'Drunk Mia'. Occasionally she'll just stay silent but mostly she rambles." he informs her before the group walks up to one of the soldiers.

Olivia: "Buenas noches, caballeros. Muchas gracias por venir, pero voy a necesitar entrar a mi oficina ahora." TRANSLATION = "Good evening, gentlemen. Thank you so much for dropping in, but I'm going to need to get into my office now." she points forward into the conference room. They then move aside, letting the group see that the person in the conference room waiting for them is General Benicio Florez.

Olivia: "Of course. El general."

Quinn: "Who is it?"

Huck: "General Benicio Florez."

Abby: "Otherwise known as ruthless, repressive, political freedom-hating, police brutality-loving, South American leftist dictator."

Olivia: "And sworn enemy of the United States."

~~~~~
The group is sitting around the conference table listening to Benicio as he tells them what happened to his family.
Benicio: "My wife and my two youngest children were kidnapped. Taken from a restaurant this afternoon in Dupont Circle. My oldest son Felipe saw them being pulled away in a van."
Stephen: "Is the FBI on it?"
Benicio: "The FBI probably did this. Look, the only reason I'm even in this country is because of this O.A.S. conference. Half of my security detail was sent away at the airport. Does that give you an idea of what kind of cooperation I'm gonna get from this government?"
Huck: "They've been trying to overthrow him for years."
Benicio: "I know that in the eyes of your president, I'm somewhere between Castro and Gadhafi. But before I am a so-called dictator, before I am a general, I am a husband. I am a father. And I need to have my family safe. I will do anything to see them again. You are my best and my only chance."
~~~~~

Huck, Harrison, Quinn, Abby, and Stephen are standing in the hallway looking out at Olivia shaking hands with the General as him and his men are leaving. Mia is sitting in a chair besides the group holding her head as the alcohol was starting to slowly wear off leaving her hangover to set it.

Abby: "Tell me we're not going to take on a dictator as a client."

Harrison: "They're just talking."

Abby: "You don't talk for that long if you're not gonna take somebody on."

Huck: "Well, you do if the elevator hasn't come."

Stephen: "Exactly. She's just being polite. It doesn't mean she's gonna represent him." he tells her as the General hugs Liv goodbye.

Abby: "That does. Welcome to Olivia Pope and Associates, El general. Your delightful death squads are now our delightful death squads."

Stephen: "The man does not have death squads."

Mia: "He does," she whispers to him as Huck clears his throat and gives him a look that says the same thing.

Abby: "Come on. We used to vote on this stuff! And now apparently, we don't even get to speak. I mean come on. Mia, you own half the firm, what do you think?"

Mia: "I think you're being loud." she informs her while grasping her head. Olivia then walks back into the office and shuts the door before directing the group on what to do next.

Olivia: "Stephen, Abby, first thing in the morning, talk to the older son. Huck, Harrison, see if you can dig up any eyewitnesses at the restaurant. And Mia, go sleep off the rest of the alcohol on the couch in your office." she says to them as she walks pass the group.

Abby: "So we're taking the case?" she questions Liv.

Olivia: "What?"

Abby: "Your good friend the general we're taking him on as a client even though we didn't vote, even though the rest of us didn't have a say?" she says before Liv just turns in disbelief before going and walking to her office.

Stephen: "We need to cut Olivia some serious slack right now." he says to them.

Mia: "Amanda Tanner is pregnant." she informs the group, leaving them shocked, before Stephen helps her to her office.

~~~~~
CYRUS'S HOUSE
Mia and Olivia are walking up to Cyrus's house to talk to him about Amanda Tanner.
Mia: "It's so bright." she states with a hand over her head to block out the sun.
Olivia: "You're wearing sunglasses."
Mia: "It's still so bright."
Olivia: "Maybe if you stopped drinking after Stephen left last night, you wouldn't be this hungover. And then the sun wouldn't be this bright." she remarks with a smirk, as the two make their way to the door.
Mia: "Did you become meaner after I drank?" she rhetorically asks, as Liv glares then loudly knocks on the door causing Mia to groan.
Olivia: "Hello, James."
James: "It's Sunday."
Olivia: "Good to see you."
James: "It's Sunday."
Olivia: "We don't get hugs anymore?"
James: "Not on Sunday. Well she does because she visits on Sundays even when it's not about work." he says before bringing Mia into a hug and when pulling away sees that something is wrong. "What's wrong with you?"
Olivia: "Fine, we'll be quick."
James: "I am trying to keep him from dropping dead of a heart attack, a heart attack brought on by people like you. And what's wrong with you?"
Olivia: "We just need five minutes."
Mia: "I'm hungover." the two say at the same time.
James: "Coming by here and thinking he's gonna work on a Sunday. No. He doesn't work on Sunday unless there's a war. Is there a war?"
Olivia: "Somewhere in the world, there's always a war."
Mia: "She's not wrong."
James: "When my husband's dead, I'm blaming you. And you, come with me, I'll get you some water." he tells the two before letting them in.
~~~

Liv walks into the backyard and finds Cyrus gardening.

Cyrus: "I'm surprised James let you in on a Sunday. Where's your duo?"

Olivia: "James is getting Mia some water." she then pauses "Things are bad. He's in trouble, Cyrus. This is real. Amanda Tanner is pregnant. I need to know if he maybe took precautions with Amanda."

Cyrus: "You want to know if the president wore condoms when he slept around? I don't know. I think that's your area. Did he wear one with you?" he asks as Mia, with a water bottle in her hand, walks out of the house and over to them.

Mia: "Morning Cy." she greets him as he responds back with a nod and confusion appears on the twenty-two year old's face due to his coldness towards her.

Cyrus: "How much?" he asks, focusing back on his Amanda Tanner problem.

Olivia: "We could probably sell $10 million."

Cyrus: "Over five years."

Mia: "Over three."

Cyrus: "I'll see what I can do." he tells them as they go to leave, but before they go he adds in, "You two and I aren't friends anymore." the two women look at him, confusion now on both their faces, they then sigh before turning around to leave.

~~~~~
OLIVIA'S APARTMENT
Later that morning, Mia and Olivia are sitting with Amanda in the fixer's living room.
Amanda: "You told Cyrus Beene that I was pregnant, and he still won't let me see the President?"
Mia: "Amanda, we need you to focus. They're talking about $10 million. That could buy you a lot. That could buy you a life for you and your child, if you want to keep it."
Amanda: "I just think if you two could get them to reconsider, if I, if I have a chance to sit with the president for five minutes I don't understand why this is happening, why they won't let me see him. I need a moment, just a moment to talk to him. If I had a moment, if we were alone,"
Mia/Olivia: "Amanda,"
Amanda: "Just five minutes alone!" she screams, as Mia grabs her head due to her hangover still lingering, "How hard is that? I could just, they put me in a chair outside of his office, and I wait. I wait until he has a break, some kind of break in his schedule."
Olivia: "Amanda, that isn't going to happen! Don't you understand that? He is the most powerful man on the planet, and you are a threat to that power. You are a threat to his government. You are never ever gonna be in the same room with the President, much less alone with him ever again. So if you don't want money, you need to decide what you do want."
Mia: "And we're not asking for your fairy-tale hopes and your princess dreams. The fairy tale is over, Amanda. You have a child to consider."
Olivia: "So we need to know what you want, that is real. So what do you want? Do you want to keep this baby? Do you want to have an abortion? Do you want to give it up for adoption? What do you want?"
Amanda: "I want to keep this baby."
Mia/Olivia: "Okay."
Amanda: "And I want to tell the world what he did. He told me he loved me. He told me to trust him, that he'd take care of me, and now he won't even take five minutes to... they think I'm just gonna go away, just like that? I trusted him. I—He should burn for this."
Mia/Olivia: "Amanda." they say with wary looks on their faces.
Amanda: "You're asking me what I want. I want them all to burn for this." she tells them, leaving them both to look at each other speechless.
~~~~~

OPA
As Mia and Liv are walking out of the elevator, David is waiting for them. When they bypass the U.S. attorney to get into their office, he follows them in.

David: "Olivia, Mia, you two look great."

Mia: "Oh, my head still hurts too much to deal with you." she tells him before making a beeline for her office, leaving David to turn to Liv.

David: "Uh, Liv, new lipstick? It's working. So you know the old guy who runs the newsstand on the corner of 'C' Street and Constitution? I buy my paper and coffee there everyday, for 11 years. This place is my ritual, my personal landmark, and these vulture developers want to knock it down, and I want you and Mia to save it by horse trading or threatening or getting it put on the National Register of Historic Newsstands or whatever it is you people do. Olivia?" he says to her as she just walks right into Huck's office and shuts the door in his face. Not long after, Huck and Abby head in, and find Olivia facing the wall and on the brink of tears.

Abby: "Is she?"

Huck: "I got this." he tells Abby before she walks out.

Huck: "What do you need? Do you need Mia?"

Olivia: "I just need one minute." she says, earning a nod from Huck before he gives the fixer her minute.

~~~~~
WHITE HOUSE
Cyrus is entering a conference room where Billy is waiting for him, along with a few aides and Sanders Black, a top investigator.
Cyrus: "Billy. I don't have a lot of time."
Billy: "Well, let's get right to it then. Cyrus, meet Sanders Black. Sanders, Cyrus Beene."
Sanders: "The President's Chief of Staff needs no introduction."
Cyrus: "I know that you've signed confidentiality agreements and been briefed on the sensitive nature of this meeting, but I'm going to take a moment to remind you that I will personally make sure you never ever work again within the borders of this fine nation if you breathe a word or the edge of a word outside this room. Now I'm a busy man. Let's go."
Sanders: "Good. Got it. Okay then. When I'm investigating someone, I leave no stone unturned. I want to know where they come from. I want to know what they've done. Where do they go? Who did they see? Have they made mistakes? Do they have debts? Enemies? Do they drink, smoke, snort, shoot? If any one of them has so much as even a parking ticket, I will find out about it. This group here, hiding a lot more than just parking tickets. Let's start with the firm's namesake and one of their leaders, Olivia Pope." he tells the group causing Billy to look at the files and Cyrus with confusion.
~~~~~

OPA
The group, minus Huck, is around the conference table discussing the General's missing family members.

Abby: "Carolina Florez, Cuban-born, Boston-raised. She was a waitress at a Harvard bar when she met a cute undergrad named Benicio, or as I like to call him, the butcher of San Miguel." she tells them while putting up some pictures on the wall.

Mia: "Abby," she warns before taking a sip from her coffee mug.

Abby: "They fell in love, got married. He brought her back with him to his home country. They have three kids, lived happily ever after in their little dictatorship, until last night, when according to their oldest son Felipe,"

~~~
Felipe: "They were in the bathroom a long time. I went to check and then saw them out the back. The men they pushed them in a van. And I ran inside for help." he told Abby and Stephen earlier that morning.
~~~

Stephen: "Restaurant bathroom window was smashed. Glass everywhere. Signs of a struggle."

Abby: "But then we went out back. And unless they had the world's smallest van..."

Stephen: "There was no way out of there."

Olivia: "At least not how the kid says he saw it."

Mia: "What about other witnesses?"

~~~
Waitress: "I didn't hear anything. All I know is they were gone, and the older kid was still here, freaked out." she told Harrison and Huck, while walking around the restaurant setting silverware on the tables.
Harrison: "Anything strange happen at the table?"
Waitress: "Mm just a normal lunch. She had a lot of iced tea. The little boy cute, maybe 7? He played with one of those electronic game thingies."
Huck: "What kind? What model? What year?"
Harrison: "Focus, fanboy."
Waitress: "I don't know. It was white?" she says as a displeased look comes across Huck's face.
~~~

Harrison: "So yeah, basically we have nothing."

Mia: "This doesn't add up. We need to keep digging."

Olivia: "Look for a motive. Political opposition, maybe or—" she starts to say before Huck walks in with his laptop and cuts her off.

Huck: "I got a signal."

Harrison: "What?"

Huck: "The kid's Gen 9 S.D. is Wi-Fi-enabled. Fanboy here tracked the I.P. address to the dynamic host configuration protocol assigned to the ARM9 processor and was then able to ping the server's geo-location vector."

Olivia: "English, Huck."

Mia: "It means he found the toy, which means he found them. Even I know that and I'm still hungover." she tells them after she takes a sip from her coffee cup.

Huck: "Thank you." he says to Mia, as the two high five, while the rest of the group just stared at them strangely.

Olivia: "Go now. Get her. Call David. See if he can get D.C. Metro to send backup. Don't go in alone." she instructs Stephen and Abby as the rest of the group begins to disperse. She then turns to Mia, "And you, how did you know that? None of you degrees are in computers or tech."

Mia: "I know. I've just listened to him talk about tracking things enough time to eventually know what it means. Also I ask questions and read." she says before walking towards the kitchen to fill her empty coffee mug up.

~~~
David and the D.C. Metro police are waiting outside at the location that Huck found for Stephen and Abby.
David: "Good thing you called. Wouldn't want you to have to deal with all this on your own. I'll take the two nuns on the left. You guys get the one with the baby." he sarcastically remarks before walking away from the two.
Abby: "You think Huck got it wrong?"
Stephen: "Huck never gets it wrong."
Abby: "Then she wasn't kidnapped."
Stephen: "She ran." he says as the two see a sign that says 'Women's Shelter'.
~~~~~

WHITE HOUSE

Cyrus: "What about this Huck character? Is this really all there is?" he asks after seeing barely anything in Huck's file.

Sanders: "Well, Huck is obviously not his real name. CIA denies knowing him, but they also sent three agents over to my office to encourage me to stop checking into his background. So clearly he's one of theirs. Other than that, he is a mystery."

Billy: "Do you have a guess?"

Sanders: "My guess is that if you meet this guy in a dark alley, you're done."

Billy: "Oh."

~~~
CHURCH
Abby and Stephen are talking to Carolina, Benicio's wife, inside the church.
Carolina: "I knew it. I knew he would send someone. I was so stupid. I wasn't thinking. I took Paola and Manuel to the bathroom, and I saw the back door, and I just started thinking, this is it. My security men are at the bar. This is my chance. So I took it."
Stephen: "Did he hurt you?"
Carolina: "No."
Abby: "Then why run?"
Carolina: "I don't love him anymore. 15 years ago I married a good man, a kind man. A man who looked at his country and dreamed of ways to make it better. But now Benicio thinks everyone's out to get him. You disagree with him, you disappear. You don't tell a man like that you're unhappy. You don't ask a man like that for a divorce. You don't leave a man like that."
~~~

Sanders: "Abigail Whelan, married for four years to Charles Putney, the youngest son of former Virginia governor, James Putney. She left him when he allegedly beat her in a drunken rage. Divorce proceedings are full of ugly details. It's all in your files." he says while passing out the folder about Abby.

~~~
Abby: "Your oldest son he said you were kidnapped."
Carolina: "When I was in the bathroom wondering if I could do it, he came to look for me. And when he saw me, he knew."
Abby: "He wouldn't come with you."
Carolina: "He loves his father, and I couldn't ask him to choose. I don't know, it just all happened so quickly. I guess you have to take me back to my husband."
Abby: "No. We don't." she states while Stephen is giving her a questioning look.
~~~

Cyrus: "And the new girl?"

Sanders: "Quinn Perkins started less than four weeks ago. Left a cushy associates gig at O'Malley and Lee."

Billy: "Why is there nothing in her file?"

Sanders: "That's a good question. Uh, we're still working on it."

Cyrus: "What's the problem?"

Sanders: "Well, as far as we know, Quinn Perkins didn't exist until 2008."

Cyrus: "Alright, what about Harrison Wright?"

Sanders: "Harrison Wright. Grew up right here in D.C. He somehow managed to go from selling luxury cars in Takoma Park to working for Adnan Salif. Made a mountain of money and managed to only get six months when Salif went down for insider trading."

Cyrus: "How'd he pull it off?"

Sanders: "Great lawyer. Olivia Pope defended him pro bono."

Billy: "And Stefan Finch?"

Sanders: "Stephen Finch Scottish-born. Became a U.S. citizen in 1995, shortly after graduating first in his class from Yale law. Was the top litigator at Chase & Howard. A real hotshot, but suffered a nervous breakdown in the middle of defending the class action suit against Bromquest."

Billy: "The chemical manufacturer that poisoned all those kids in West Virginia?"

Sanders: "Exactly. Spent two months recovering in a facility in Florida before quitting the firm."

~~~
Abby: "Hi. My sister and her kids need a room for the night. Do you have something with two double beds?" she asks the hotel worker at the front desk.
Worker: "Yes, we do."
Stephen: "This is insane. We need to tell Liv and Mia we have her."
Abby: "We will tell them. We just won't tell them until tomorrow or the next day at the latest as soon as we get her asylum. Liv's fried and Mia's not thinking straight because she too busy trying to make sure that Liv's okay, Stephen. Neither of them are wearing the white hat anymore."
Stephen: "I'm not lying." he tells them as his phone rings and its Olivia calling it. Abby then grabs and answers it.
Abby: "Olivia? Hey, it's me. Stephen's putting gas in the car. Yeah, she was at a shelter. Pretty clear she wasn't kidnapped. We tried to talk to her, but they've closed their doors for the night. Nobody can come or go. We'll pick her up tomorrow. Yeah. Good night." she then hangs up the phone and hands it back to him. "There. Done and done."
~~~

Sanders: "And last but not least, this group's second leader, twenty-two year old, Dr. Mia James, formally Mia Hal—" he tries to present, while holding up Mia's picture for the group, before Cyrus cuts him off.

Cyrus: "I know what it is, everyone else can read it. Move on. What else did you find?" he tells the group, leaving Billy slightly confused.

Sanders: "Well... 'The Golden Girl of Education', not much found on her yet. The most we got is some petty parking tickets,"

Cyrus: "That damn car." he mutters to himself.

Sanders: "And there are some court cases with her name on them, but—" he continues on, not hearing Cyrus's comment.

Billy: "But what? What's wrong?" he asks, as Cyrus is staring at her photo.

Sanders: "Well two of them, we're waiting on information for them. It's taking longer because she was a minor when they happened. The one court case we do have information on, is her emancipation case, that took place shortly after she turned sixteen. One of the adults that vouched for her, was none other than Olivia Pope and the other adult, well,"

Billy: "Well, what? Who was it?"

Cyrus: "Me. I was the other adult. The other two cases don't matter. Anything else." he informs the group looking up and away from the image.

Sanders: "I have to disagree. These can be incredibly helpf—"

Cyrus: "I was there for both of them, okay. So when I say they don't matter, they don't. Move on." he sternly directs Sanders as Cyrus looks back down at the picture.

Sanders: "Okay... well other than that Mia James is pretty clean. The only other thing that we found was that she transfers $500 a month to a different back account. We're still looking into who the money is going to and why she's making the transfer."

Cyrus: "Okay. Look more into that and get back to me with it." he states while looking back up.

~~~
LAFAYETTE PARK
Mia and Liv are waiting in the park for Billy and Mia is on the phone about to hang up.
Mia: "Yep... okay... I'll think about it." she says to the person over the phone before hanging up.
Olivia: "Who was that?"
Mia: "Spencer Reid."
Olivia: "From the BAU, right?"
Mia: "Yeah, that's the one."
Olivia: "What did he want?"
Mia: "He's doing a lecture at CalTech on behavior and wants me to join him. Says that since I'm closer to their age, they may listen to me more than him. He's probably right."
Olivia: "Are you going to do it?"
Mia: "I don't know. With everything going on right now—"
Olivia: "Well, I think you should go. And who knows maybe this can help you down the road for any future FBI problems."
Mia: "Maybe... what do you think Billy wants?"
Olivia: "I don't know. Also how's your head?"
Mia: "It's fine." she says before pausing, and then giving Liv a soft look, "Are you okay?"
Olivia: "Mi,"
Mia: "We haven't talked about Amanda, now that she decided she wants them to completely pay. That's everything we helped build, Liv, are you okay with tearing it down?" she asks but doesn't get an answer as Billy sees them and walks over to the pair.
Billy: "Olivia, Mia, what did you two do?"
Mia/Olivia: "What are you talking about?"
Billy: "Cyrus has called in Sanders Black on you two."
Olivia: "Sanders Black is a short, short man."
Billy: "So was Napoleon, but he still did a lot of damage."
Mia: "Why are you telling us this, Billy?"
Billy: "If you can just tell me what's going on, I might be able to help you both. I don't want to feel like I'm betraying my own, but sooner or later, I have to fall in line." he informs the two before they look at each other and nod. Liv then pulls out her cell phone and starts dialing. Billy goes to try and questioning what she's doing but Mia just puts her hand up telling him to stop talking.
Olivia: "Olivia Pope for Cyrus Beene." she tells Cyrus's secretary, and once she connected to him she says, "You want to play hardball? Forget the money. We booked '20/20' instead. We're sitting down with Diane Sawyer." she then hangs up the phone.
Mia/Olivia: "You take care, Billy." they tell him as they go and walk away.
~~~

Cyrus: "These people, Olivia Pope fixed them. That makes them loyal. They'll die for her. I need more, something I can work with. Do better." he says as they go over Olivia's file.

Billy: "They did find one thing. Olivia Pope had an affair with someone on the campaign."

Sanders: "Yeah, we don't have a name yet. We will. Give me a day or two."

Cyrus: "That's not useful to us."

Sanders: "Uh, excuse me. It's a potential gold mine, because other than that, Olivia Pope is purer than Mother Teresa."

Cyrus: "Gentlemen, I have a country to run. I'm not gonna stand around and debate with you. It's not useful to us. Move on." he shouts at them as he walks out of the room.

Billy: "Move on."
