"I CAN'T BELIEVE THE EMPIRE WOULD LET THAT MONSTER HERE DO THEY SERIOUSLY THINK THEY CAN TRUST HER." Katara had been ranting about the sudden appearance of the fire princess for the last 2 hours.

"I'm all for peace but even I have to agree with Katara she can't be trusted." Aang says nodding his head in katara's direction.

"Guys cam down." Sokka says raising his voice to get their attention.  "What matters now is that we come up with another treaty proposal that counters her proposal. If we can give the empire a better deal we can win this war and Azula won't have any leverage."

(Earlier).

The gang stared in shock at the sight of the fire nation princess sitting at the table with two fire bender guards.

"Why is she here." Katara asks her voice icy cold filled with venom. 

"She is here to negotiate with us on behalf of the fire nation." Tanya says glaring at Katara

Sokka was shocked he had never once believed the fire nation would actually want to negotiate he was convinced that something else was up.

"Why are you even negotiating with her." Aang says with anger in his voice." DO you have any idea what the fire nation has done to the balance of this world."

"I am fully aware avatar. However my first priority when I was sent here was to make a peace deal and since the water tribes are already our allies these negotiations will complete the mission I was sent here to complete."

The gang was livid. The empire was negotiating with the fire nation. They also refused the deal that Aang had given them. 

(AN: for reference that treaty was that the empire would acknowledge the restoration of the earth kingdom and with draw back to the province of Shou-long only after the fire nation was defeated).

"Take a seat avatar and friends." Tanya says gesturing to the other chairs at the table.

After the gang had all been seated Tanya turned to Azula. "Now then princess you said you had a treaty proposal for the empire correct."

"Yes that is correct." Azula says pulling out a map of the world. " The fire nation will recognize the independence of the water tribes, in exchange for the empire recognizing our rule of our colonies up to the city of new ozai we are fully willing to grant you all territory up to the city of Gaoling which will be independent as well as the Si Wong desert which will act as a neutral zone between our nations."

Tanya put her hand on her chin and was very tempted to take the offer made by the fire nation princess. However one question still needed to be answered.

"Does fire lord Ozai recognize this treaty." Tanya asks glancing up at Azula.

"Yes he does." Azula replies Hesitatingly. 

Tanya as well as visha raised their eyebrows not fully believing her. 

"I see." Tanya says as she turns to face the gang. "Do you have any counter proposals."

Before sokka could respond Aang jumped out of his seat and glared at Tanya. 

"AND what does the earth kingdom get out of this deal." HE says angrily.

"That is no concern of mine avatar." Tanya replies coldly.

"OH I see why. You guys are at war with the earth kingdom so you betray those innocent people to the tyranny of the fire nation instead of liberating them." Katara says angrily. 

Tanya was about to retort but visha beat her to it.

"YOU DARE ACCUSE US OF NOT CARING ABOUT INNOCENT LIVES. WE ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE CRIMES THE FIRE NATION HAS COMMITED HOWEVER THAT DOES NOT MEAN WE CAN JUST IGNORE WHAT THE EARTH KINGDOM HAS DONE." visha says tears welling up in her eyes at the painful memory. "THEY TOOK MY BEST FRIEND AND KILELD SO MANY INNOCENT IMPERIAL CIVILIANS. SO PLEASE EXCUSE US FOR NOT ENTIRELY CARING ABOUT THAT MESSED UP MONARCHY THAT DIDN'T EVEN GIVE IT'S PEOPLE A SECOND THOUGHT.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT WE SAW WHEN WE WNET TO XAULON OF ZON-LAO. WE SAW INNOCNET LIVES SUFFERING UNDER THE RULE OF A NEGLECTFUL MONARCHY. CHILDREN STARVING, WOMEN TORTURED. SO TELL ME AVATAR DO YOU REALLY WNAT TO RESTORE THAT SYSTEM ONE THAT LETS IT'S OWN PEOPEL SUFFER." Visha says breathing hard.

"Colonel that's enough." Tanya says placing a hand on her shoulder. " We will give you 4 hours to consider a new proposal dismissed."

as the gang waked out toph finally spoke." She wasn't lying."

the gang was now walking through the streets of Shou-long after an hour of indecision. 

"what can we really offer them then. If what the colonel said was true they will not accept anything that gives the earth kingdom to much power." Sokka says as they continue to wander..

"Despite toph confirming it I still don't want to believe it." Aang says sadness in his voice

The gang all jumped at the sight of a middle aged man in his late to early 40s.

"Who are you." Aang demands.

AN: I 'm sorry for not updating recently I have been running out of story Ideas for this one and I was seriously contemplating ending it now but I'm persevering I intend to end this one off with a bang.
