Chapter Thirty Five

I held his gazed for a couple seconds before the words came from my lips softly.

"Go for a ride with you?" I intone with a raised eyebrow.

"Ah yeah," he responds with a gleam in his eyes.

"A ride?... With you?..." I repeat still holding his stare and saying the words as if they were something fragile and would go off like a bomb any minute.

His look of amusement caused my eyebrows to rise to the point where they were probably no longer attached to my face. Blade's mouth curved into a smile and he watched me intently.

"Yes, right now," he says rather softly in his sexy masculine voice that I almost hadn't heard him speak.

Staring with a raised eyebrow for a prolonged period was uncomfortable and I dropped my eyebrow and stared at him still stunned. I couldn't believe it. Was this a joke or some scheme to have me tied to a chair in Luka's basement? What was this asshole up to?

Did he really think I'd fall for his tricks and be stupid enough to accept his rather innocent offer?

He had a motive even though I couldn't see it clearly. I continued staring at him for a period of time and Blade licked his lips and smirked.
I pried my eyes away from his face and rolled my eyes still confused by his sudden interest. If he had some massive plan to recapture me, he could have done it on so many occasions. He could have done it right here, right now and he didn't, instead he just remained seated at the edge of the bed, observing me with a mistrustful gleam in his eye. His facial expressions were so hard to read. Whenever he smiled, it looked fifty percent evilous and fifty percent hot and attractive.

God I hate him.

My lower lip slipped between my teeth and Blade noticing it smirked and I quickly looked away.

"So what do you say Tink?" He asks.

"How do I know this is not some ploy to make good on your promise to leave me locked in a basement?"

"We've had enough time alone Tink, I could have snatched you then."

"And that's supposed to convince me?"

He gave a half smile and I thought about it for a second. If he tried to do anything it'd be a level playing field between us, it could go either ways. But if I'm outnumbered three to one, I may not have that same luck as the first time. It's obvious the guys an asshole but even I wouldn't double cross someone this way.

"Try anything and I'll skin you alive," I threathen and he chuckles.

"Still don't trust me Tink?"

"Only an idiot would," I reply walking over to my closet.

I could feel his eyes watching me and I frowned just thinking of all the perversion going through his mind right now. I got some clothes and walked to the bathroom and changed.

"You know Tink, you could have gotten dressed out here I wouldn't have mind," he calls.

"Of course you wouldn't," I scoff, pulling the clothes on.

I reappeared from the bathroom wearing a pair of distressed jeans, a cropped sweater and a pair of sneakers. Blade eyes gleamed when I reappeared and I scowled at him.

"Would it kill you to not be a perverted ass for once?"

"I can't make you any promises," he replies with a smirk.

"Ready when you are," I announce bitterly and got my cellphone from the nightstand.

Blade stood to his feet and gestured for me to lead the way.

"Ladies first."

"Yeah right," I growl.

It was nothing but an attempt at continuing his perversion and whatever dirty things was running through his mind. I frowned as I felt his eyes staring at my back. The cropped sweater was above my belly button which left a decent amount of skin showing. I silently wished the ass would stub his toe and fall down the stairs so he would focus on where he was heading instead of walking behind me quietly, checking me out.

It was a rather lovely sunny day and I could see why Adam wouldn't have wanted to remain at home. The sky was a bright blue and white streaks of cloud stretched across the sky.

Blade walked up next to me with a helmet in his hand.

"Where's the car?"

"Who said anything about a car?"

"Do you honestly think I'd get on the back of a motorcycle with you?"

"Yeah," he responds handing me the helmet.

"Have you lost your mind?" I sputter.

"We could walk,"he says looking at me, "but it would be a rather long journey."

I scoffed at him.

"What's this?" I grumble looking at the helmet in my hand.

"It's a helmet," he says

"I know that," I respond with an eye roll, "why are you giving it to me?"

"Safety first Tink," he replies walking to his Harley that was parked at the end of the driveway.

I followed at his heels scoffing. Another helmet was on the motorcycle and I turned the one over in my hand and looked at it. It was Adam's and I my mood turned even more sour. Blade got the helmet and put it on before looking around at me.
I still had Adam's helmet clutched in my hand and made no attempt to put it on. Blade gave a slight frown and moved towards me and took Adam's helmet and placed it carefully on my head.

Oh God Adam smells horrible.

I scrunched up my face and frowned at Blade looking down at me.

"You didn't have to I know how to put a helmet on," I grumble.

"Have you ever ridden a motorcycle before?"

"No."

"Maybe I should teach you sometime," he says and got on.

I stared at him sitting on the motorcycle with his feet on the ground.

"What? Don't tell me you're too short to climb up by yourself," he jests.

A muscle in my jaw twitched and I scoffed at his remark and got on behind him.

"Ready," I mutter from behind and he looked around at me.

"You're not holding on," he points out.

"No shitting way I'm putting my arms around you."

"C'mon Tink, you don't want to fall off do you?"

"I'll take my chances."

"I've fallen from a moving motorcycle before and it's not very pretty Tink."

"Must have not fallen hard enough if you're still around," I complain.

Blade turned around far enough to look me in the face and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What makes you so bitter Tink?"

"What makes you an asshole Blade?"

"Hey I'm just trying to ensure your safety here."

I scoffed and placed my arm around him loosely.

"Tighter Tink," he says starting the motorcycle and I scoffed and held him more tightly.

I could feel his abdominal muscles beneath his shirt. It was rock solid, like a brick wall. Blade revved the motorcycle and rode off into the street. The cool wind brushed my exposed skin and I continued pressing my hands closer to his abs. These things could stop a steel sword. The house disappeared behind us and my mind was too consumed by the feel of his abs to think about anything else. The motorcycle rode on at a moderate pace and I squeezed my eyes shut to keep the unwanted thoughts from filtering into my mind. Riding was by far, more satisfying than driving. It was almost like having endless freedom. I hadn't given much thought of riding one of these before but now I wanted my own motorcycle. Blades hands were tensed and I drew my lower lip between my teeth and bit down hard. My eyes closed again and opened and I lowered my hand from around his waist and found the hem of his shirt. My head was rested in his back and I slipped my hand beneath his shirt and hugged his bare skin. I'm so glad he couldn't see my face because to know what I was thinking. I moved the tip of my fingers along the walls of his abdominal muscles and the wind continued to brush gently against my skin. I heard Blade chuckle and I bit down on my lip some more and continued running my fingers against his abs.

"I thought you said I was the pervert," he calls back at me and I gave a snort.

Blade sped up the motorcycle and I smirked.

"Nice abs," I call up front to him and he chuckles.

"You know Tink, if you're just going to continue assaulting me I don't think this relationship is going to work."

"What relationship?" I call back amused.

"I think this right here is considered second base."

"It's not a relationship Blade."

"Then what do you call this?"

"I only like your abs not you,"

Blade chuckles and I grin.

"I was right after all wasn't I?"

"Right about what?" I ask with a raise brow.

"That you'd end up liking me Tink."

"But I don't like you," I say from the back of the motorcycle.

"No you only like my abs,"he calls, "but one day you'll like all of me."

"Keep dreaming Blade."

"Keep being in denial Tink."

"Where are you taking me?" I ask as we rode pass trees lining both side of the road.

I'd never driven this direction before.

"You'll see," he calls back and I frowned and felt his abs again.

The weather was simply beautiful and I allowed my mind to stray. Was he taking me to some private outdoor spot that he himself liked to hang out? Couldn't have, he didn't seem like that type. Yet what type was he? I groaned softly as Phoebe's voice echoed in my ears, "people are usually different that they seem," and, "how do you know him?". I scoffed some more and felt the cool wind gently brushing against my skin. Phoebe was right, I really didn't know him much other than the fact that I happened to come across a rather intriguing bit of news about his ability in the kitchen. Who would have known? Most guys can't even scramble an egg properly. Even Adam can't make anything from scratch other than a sandwich and I saw what happened when Ossey's brother Noel baked a batch of cookies. Those things could have been uses in wars to crush enemy camp sites.

The motorcycle drifted to the side a bit and I gripped Blade more tightly around the waist and peered out at the aides to see where he was taking me. The motorcycle slowed and he left the main road and entered a sort of dirt road. Trees lined both sides of the road stretching on and on. For a second I thought we were heading up hill but he merely turned to his right and rode along another path. A white building was up ahead. It looked welcoming yet also as if no one lived there. The motorcycle rode up to the front of the house and came to a halt. My brain hadn't had time to register where we were or why we were here and Blade cleared his throat. I realized he had removed his helmet.

"You can let go now Tink," he says.

"Oh," I mumble and released my hold around his waist.

He smirked and got off the motorcycle and I scrambled off before taking off the helmet. The air was cool and smelled fresh.

Blade moved from my side and walked up the porch to the front door. My eyes scanned the surroundings quickly. There was no sign of anyone around. He wasn't going back on his promise was he?

"Are you coming ?" Blade calls and I stopped looking around and walked slowly up to the porch.

"Where are we?" I ask once I was close enough for him to hear me.

"No need to look so worried," he says and I frown.

He knocked on the door and rang the bell then waited. Blade leaned against the wall smirking at me. I was too busy, eyes darting around for any signs of company to even tell him off. Not even the leaves rustled and it was quite silent which probably was a good thing or perhaps not. A shuffling on the other side of the door caused my eye to abandon looking around and the sound of the door being unlocked before it opened slightly then wide enough for someone to pass through. An elderly gentleman with grey hair and a bushy mustache, wearing a pair of spectacles, a blue and shirt and some trousers stared out at me. He looked like he was waiting for me to speak or something before he stepped into the light and Blade moved from his spot at the wall.

"Pop," Blade calls and a wrinkled smile appeared on the elderly mans face and his eyes glistened.

"Blade," he calls his voice a bit shaky with glee and it weirdly enough tugged at my heart string.

"Nice seeing you pop," Blade says again this time hugging the elderly man who patted him gently on the back.

He laughed a bit and patted Blade on the back again noisily before pulling back to look at him.

"Blade," he calls, "how's my favourite grandson?"
