Chapter 13

Joey's POV
It was kind of a long drive to my parents house. Bryan and I didn't turn on the radio because we were too concerned about Nana. We both stayed quiet and I started praying for Nana's safety. It's weird, Nana is my favorite family member, but I feels like I'm more concerned about Bryan. I hope she won't take this too personal. Eventually, Bryan and I got to my parents house and the first thing we did was ring the doorbell multiple times. The door opened and to my surprises, it was Nana who opened the door.

"Nana? I thought they said something happened to you," I said to Nana.

"Hoho! So it did work. Come, go to the living room and bring Bryan with you," Nana said to me.

I looked at Bryan, this sounds kind of suspicious, but we followed. As we went to the living room, we saw my Dad, Matt, Kevin, and Marvin. Bryan and I were both confused, seeing both of our siblings.

"Congrats!" Everyone yelled.

Bryan and I looked at everyone, amazed and quite shocked.

"Um, what are we congratulating for?" I asked.

"That you and Bryan are dating! We all knew this, but we never decided to do it in person, so congrats dude!" Marvin said.

Uhm, is it normal to bring a couple to their family's house just to congratulate them? My parents and I didn't do that when Amanda and Matt were dating. Though as Marvin was finished talking, I took a look around the living room. There were some tables displayed and they all had some different foods to take. It was kind of early in the morning though, but Bryan and I haven't eaten yet. Although, there were ribs on one of the tables and Bryan just looked at it. Ribs was his favorite food, so it's not really a surprise. Bryan looked at me and I titled my head towards the ribs, telling him a signal that he can go eat it. I looked around, but I didn't see Mom.

"Hey guys, where's Mom?" I asked.

"Oh, your mother is upstairs, but she'll be fine. She said she didn't want to be here because her stomach was hurting, which is an obvious lie. You could try talking and be reasonable with her, just try not to push it too much," Dad warned me.

"I'll probably talk to her later," I said.

As hours past, it was almost 6:30. Wow, we've been spending our time here for about five hours and we were having fun. Since it was us guys basically hanging out, we did some fun and stupid stuff together. Marvin tried to carry Kevin on his shoulders, but they both fell down. Kevin got a concision, but he'll be fine. Callie was here too, I forgot she was at this place. She's my dog, but I don't want to her transfer to my house yet. For now, Bryan will keep me company. Speaking about company, Bryan I and told everyone that we were going to the hot tub to relax. They said sure and gave us some privacy for us to relax. It was kind of cold outside, but we had to take off our shorts and shirts. As we did, we were freezing. We immediately jumped into the hot tubs for some warmth.

"I'm still cold, you mind if I..." Bryan looked at me, sitting closer near me. I let him lay his head on my shoulder and he was smiling. I rested my head on his head, so I had a place to lie my head down. We sat there for awhile, but then I decided to say something.

"Bryan, I know that my Mom still hates us being together, but should I at least try to talk to her?" I asked Bryan.

"Well, I guess it depends on what you want to do. Whether you do want to do it or not. I know your Mom can be a scary person, so it wouldn't be that easy talking to her," Bryan said.

"Yeah, it's just hard, living with a family that can't even support you. Like, are they even considered my family still?" I asked Bryan.

"They still are your family and I know you'll have her convinced. She can't stay mad at us forever, so we should at least try. I'll help you talk to her Joey, I know we'll have our way around," Bryan said.

Bryan got off of my shoulder and went towards the middle of the hot tub and faced me.

"Bryan I know you're sweet and all, but you don't have to. It's a family issue and it's my issue, I can do this for us," I said to Bryan.

"Joey, we're already family and we can do this together. I want to be there to support you and I'm not going to leave your side ever again. If anything bad happens to you, I want to be there to protect you. So I'm going with you, for the caution of your safety," Bryan said. Bryan looked at me with huge smile on his face. His optimism, inspiration, and motivation is what keeps me going all day. I guess I couldn't say no, so I pulled Bryan's back so we were closer. Our faces were directly right in front of each other and we locked eyes.

"I guess saying no isn't an option, so thanks Bryan, I love you," I said to him with a soft tone.

He did a little chuckled afterwards and smiled. He looked at each other passionately and kissed. Our body's touched and my left hand grabbed Bryan's hip and my right grabbed his head. Our kisses were always so soft, which made me feel more comfortable and motivational. We stopped kissing and looked at each other.

"You ready?" I asked Bryan.

He looked at me and nodded. We got out of the hot tub and dried ourselves out with a towel that was hanging on a chair. It got even colder, so we kind of hurried up the pace. We put our shorts and shirts on and began to walk back inside. Matt, Kevin, and Marvin looked so out of placed. Usually, they'd be doing their normal stuff, but it looked like they weren't. Matt was watching T.V, Marvin was reading a book, and Kevin was on his phone watching a video.

"Bryan and I are going to take a shower to wash out," I said.

"Are you both going together?!" Marvin asked.

I didn't respond but I just looked at him as I walked up the stairs. Bryan responded with an extended, "Stop," as he was walking up the stairs too. We weren't actually going to shower together, we'd give each other space. We were going to shower though, then we were going to talk to my Mom. We were eventually done showering (not together unfortunately) and we dried ourselves. We walked outside the bathroom door and we were in front of my parent's room. Bryan looked at me.

"Okay Joey, you ready? We should be talking about how our relationship wouldn't make a difference in our lives, including her's," Bryan said.

I nodded back and kissed him on the lips for good luck. We opened the door, seeing my Mom gazing at the window. This was our time to redeem ourselves, let's hope we don't mess up. Mom turned around seeing both of us. I got a little scared, so I held Bryan's hand and gripped it tight. She looked at my hand, which was holding Bryan's hand, and she got a disgusted face on.

That was the end of this chapter, hoped you enjoyed it =]

This next part is an extra part of the chapter, where I will be showing Matt's side when Joey and Bryan were in the hot tub. This may be a little short, but hope you enjoy it =]

Matt's POV

After that little graduation party for Joeryan, they decided to hit the hot tubs. Huh, it's kind of cold outside, but if they need some privacy, then sure. They got outside and closed the door. At that point, I didn't bother with them, so I just went on social media. One thing that did catch me was Kevin and Marvin looking outside the window. What the heck are those two doing?

"The heck are you guys doing?" I asked both of them.

They both looked back at me, then Kevin responded with,

"Marvin and I are betting to see who's gonna make the move," Kevin replied.

"My bets on Joey, he's a calm and a gentle guy, making him more likely to make a move," Marvin said.

That logic made no sense, but I guess. I had nothing better to do, so I watched as well.

"You guys mean kissing?" I asked.

"Bro, what else you thinking? Where one of them is going to decide to take the other's shorts off?" Kevin said.

Lmao I just wanted clarification but okay.

"Why do you think Bryan will make the move, sure he's hulky and buff, but he has a soft side," I said to Kevin.

"Then we'll just have to see it then," Kevin said.

Minutes later passed, but nothing excited happened yet. It was mostly them just moving their mouths and talking, but no one made a move yet. Then, Bryan started moving towards the center of the hot tubs and everyone got excited.

"OhOhoH, this is the good part!" Kevin excitingly said.

"Guys, stop watching your brother's flirt, give them some privacy," Dad yelled across the room.

"We can't, we bet 100$ on this one," Marvin said.

A HUNDRED DOLLARS?! This is too much just for one kiss. Bryan and Joey are on a normal relationship, why can't Marvin and Kevin treat them the same. I guess it's because they're a gay couple or that Joey actually has date. Kevin screamed and I looked back at the window. Joey brought Bryan closer to him. Damn Joey, smooth move. I didn't know Joey was this good into relationships. He could be better than me. Marvin got up and started cheering and yelling.

"YES! YES! PAY UP!" Marvin excitingly said.

I looked at the window, seeing Joey and Bryan kissing. Wow, they're actually both good, but Joey technically brought Bryan in for a kiss, so Marvin won. Upsettingly, Kevin handed over the 100$ to Marvin as he was cheering. Then we looked outside the window and they were getting dressed!

"Crap, guys they're coming back! Act natural," Kevin said.

All three of us began to do stuff individually. Wait, why the heck am I watching the television? There's sports playing and I don't even like sports that much. Whatever, I at least have to pretend. Joey and Bryan came inside and they were still kind of wet.

"Bryan and I are going to take a shower to wash out," I said.

"Are you both going together?!" Marvin asked.

Joey didn't reply and Bryan just said, "Stop" but extended it. At least that was over, now I can actual-

"Marvin, I'll bet you 500$ if they shower together," Kevin said.

"Hm, deal!" Marvin said.

They both shook on it and I both looked at them.

"You guys are such idiots," I said and began to write notes for my new book.
