For the first time in a while, Jungkook didn't wake up early for his usual "prowl the house" routine. His dreams were far to blissful for them to be disrupted.

When he finally awoke, the soft rays of sunlight gently shown through the yellow curtains, gracing the boys face. Slowly gaining his senses, he went to do his usual morning stretch, when he was stopped by the warm arms that encircled his waist.

Opening his eyes, your sleeping figure came into view. His breath caught in the back of his throat as he realized the position you both were in.

His left arm stayed dormant under your head as the right was swung around your midsection. The feline also noticed that his tail was wrapped securely around your bare leg. Your arms were wrapped gently around his waist, as your head laid peacefully on his sculpted chest. He felt nervous but, oddly at peace. He was warm. Not the uncomfortable kind. The kind that reminds you of the sand pressing gently against your feet on a summer day. The kind of warmth that the fireplace graces your skin with after a long day of playing in the snow, or a freshly poured cup of hot tea. The foreign feeling was comforting for him to wake up with.

His eyes scanned your resting face. He'd never been able to see you at such a close proximity before.

Your eyelashes that graced your cheeks were longer then they normally looked. Your face was a bit puffy from sleeping and you lips... your lips were pink and soft looking. He couldn't help himself when he absentmindedly slid the hand that was secured around your waist, up to cup your cheek, slowly sliding his thumb over the tinted flesh that is your lips. When you stirred, he paused his action, quickly bringing his arm again around your waist.

Slowly, you peeled your eyes open, revealing a sleepy kitty hybrid. His cheeks were tinted pink and his hair was disheveled. Glancing over to his eyes, you realized he was already looking into yours. Sending a lazy smile his way, you pushed some stray strands of hair out of his face.

"Good morning Jungkook. How did you sleep?" You whispered.

"Umm. Good actually. And you?" He croaked out, clearing his throat afterwards.

"Good...actually I'm kind of glad you came in last night Jungkook. I'm really nervous about today." You sighed, somewhat curling into yourself.

Jungkook looked at you, concern washing over his face.

"Y/n. Look at me."

You look up as he brings his hand gently to caress your face.

"Y/n. I will never let anything happen to you. No matter what."

For a moment you saw stars in his eyes. An eternal galaxy with shooting stars and wishes yet to be granted.

You gulped when you realized you had been staring for too long, clearing your throat.

"Thank you Jungkook...are you hungry?"

His eyes lit up for a moment before cutely nodding his head a few times, tail letting go of your leg only to swivel it back and fourth with excitement.

You giggled under your breath. "Ok. Let's go make some pancakes. It's time you learn how to do something yourself."

A comment to which he rolled his eyes, playfully of course.

Over the next two hours you had (tried) to teach him how to make homemade pancakes, which ended up with flour everywhere and almost half a dozen eggs on the floor. After his tail whipped from the surprise of the egg drop, breaking the glass measuring cup, you told him to shower and you'd make breakfast.

Coming back about twenty minutes later squeaky clean, he sat down in his usual seat next to you, hair dripping wet. As he was about to begin scarfing down all of the extra food you had made, there was a knock on the door.

He jumped up so quickly it almost gave you  whiplash. The felines ears were pointed at the door as he swiftly stood protectively in front of you, eyebrows furrowed and eyes narrowed. His strong frame of solid mass made your heart flutter as he stood his ground, apprehensive about who is was that was knocking.

Your features softened as you slowly stood up to put a gentle hand on Jungkooks  shoulder. He relaxed slightly by your hold, eyes and ears still not leaving the direction of the front door.

"It's ok Kookie, I invited Hobi over for breakfast." He was now completely relaxed in your grasp, finally being able to look in your direction.

Before long, there was a mumbled  yell coming from the other side of the door. "Hurry up, I'm hungry!"

Giggling you motioned at Jungkook to take a seat to which he complied.

You barely had the chance to greet Hoseok before he ran into you and enveloped you in a bear hug that almost broke your bones.

Watching you two joke around from the table, Jungkook couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy and guilt corse through his veins.

You and Hoseok reminded him of him and his roommate back at the facility. Labeled Vx38, or V, as Jungkook called him, was the boys only friend at the facility other then a few acquaintances here in there.

He was a happy guy. No matter what happened, he always had an optimistic attitude and smiled almost as brightly as Hoseok. He felt guilty even thinking about him.

They were supposed to escape together. They were fine one minute, moving stealthily in and out of the hallways they've memorized so well. Then they were caught. It seemed like a fool proof plan. Apparently not.

It happened in an instant. One of the guards slashed Jungkook In the thigh. Hard. Causing him to come down hard. They were so close. They almost had it. The guard that had slashed Jungkook started to walk towards him, but, vx38 got to him first. Ripping violently through the crowd of people, he jumped on the guard yelling at Jungkook to go before it was to late.

That night he ran until he couldn't anymore, the rain that had just started made him feel worse. He finally found shade by a dumpster and passed out where you found him.

He wanted to tell you about V. He wanted to tell you about everything. But he thought it too soon. Especially with the rising anxiety regarding the Jimin guy. He wanted to know about him, but, he felt that if he did, he would be too angry to continue to work with him.

You and Hoseok sat at the table after conversing for a minute. Looking over at Jungkook, you saw that his eyes were already trained on you. Smiling softly at him, he couldn't help but to do the same.

"Let's eat before it gets cold!" Hoseok yelled digging into his food as you followed soon after.

A few minutes later Jungkook noticed the shift in your energy. Slowly after greeting Hoseok, you started to think about how your encounter with Jimin would go. You hadn't seen him in almost a year. You wanted to trust Hoseok, you really did but, you couldn't help but to be nervous.

Jungkook wanted to say something but he didn't know what. He could sense your drop in energy and wanted to understand your reasoning behind why you were so anxious about meeting this Park guy.

"Y/n." He said before he could stop himself.

All attention was on Jungkook now and he suddenly felt self conscious.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

You gulped down your pancake and playfully glared at Hoseok.

"It's his fault really."

"Hey! I didn't do it!" He responded dramatically.

You were laughing but the feline noticed the distance look in your eyes.

You sighed quietly turning towards Jungkook.

"Ok I'll tell you."

You started tell him every detail you could remember about Park Jimin until the moment you departed.

Jungkook felt his eyes twitch as you started to tell him about Jimin. From what he could tell, the guy was a pretentious asshole. Not only that but his schemes on the black market didn't make him any more likable. However, the thing that really got him was when your started talking about the last night you saw him. He had forced himself on you. Going against your will.

He knew all to well what that felt like, being strapped down to cold metal tables more times than he can count. But the fact that he had done that to you, made his blood boil.

His fists clenched, and his facial features tightened into a dark scowl. He had enough talking about this guy.

You were startled when Jungkook slammed his fists in the table standing up so fast he made his chair go flying behind him.

"Y/n. There's no way you're letting this guy into your home. I won't allow it. We can find another way."

You looked at Jungkook with surprise. Sighing softly, you gently placed your hand over his clenched one.

Your touch seemed to unwind him ever so slightly.

"Jungkook. Do you remember what we talked about last night?"

Oh yes. How could he forget about the comforting way the two of you intertwined your limbs whispering of friendship, promises, and trust.

Trust. You had wanted him to trust you. Because you trusted your friend.

Turning towards Hoseok, the older male was staring intently waiting on the felines next move.

Hoseok knew this would happen. From his first encounter with Jungkook it was easy to decipher the boys attachment to you. He knew any threat to your immediate safety would concern him. Which is why he wanted to wait until after he actually met Jimin to tell him. But after last night, he wasn't going to question your tactics. You were smart and you knew what you were doing. And you were scary when need be.

Jungkook sighed nodding his head. "Ok. I trust you."

You smiled assuringly, helping Jungkook pick up his chair.

"My food is cold." Hoseok pouted, to which you giggled.

A few hours later, Jungkook only sensed the tension in your being rise. He knew you were keeping it cool only for him and Hoseok. He didn't blame you. He understood how you felt more then enough.

His urge to protect you only grew stronger the more anxious you became. He meant what he said this morning. He would do anything to protect you. You were practically already risking your life hiding him, and now you were about to be put into an uncomfortable situation because of him again. Jungkook wanted nothing more then to hold you the way you had held him last nigh and tell you, everything would be alright.

A soft knock on the door and Jungkook could see your soul jump out of your skin.

Standing up at the same time as Hoseok, he gave you a reassuring look before heading to the front door alone.

Your heart beat quickened for a short second before you felt Jungkooks rough fingers interlace with your own. He squeezed gently as he stood only slightly in front of you.

And then you heard his voice that was still as soft as the cherry blossoms in spring.

"Hoseok, good to see you man." It said, almost timidly.

You released a breath you didn't know you were holding as Jungkook squeezed it again. You smiled at him thankfully, not noticing the voices becoming louder until you felt Jungkooks tail going stiff by your side.

Just passed his shoulder stood Hoseok, and to the left of him Jimin.

Park fucking Jimin. There stood the beautiful face you never thought you'd have to see again. Except instead of his devilish black locks now took the form of a copper brown he ran his small yet masculine fingers through. A habit you picked up he did when he was nervous.

You could sense the remorse in his eyes. "Y/n." He whispered voice almost cracking.

What were you thinking?

Even with his cocky attitude and sly remarks, he wasn't that bad of a guy, was he? He surly didn't look like one. Not now anyway. Yeah, he was annoyingly self righteous, but he never put you in harms way. Not until that night at least. Even so, you know he tried countless times to apologize to you, and when you blatantly ignored him, he backed off.

Shit.

Jimin took a few steps forward, before your line of view was cut off by non other then Jungkook.

Compared to Jimin, Jungkook was much taller. His large hand was gripped in yours begging not to be let go of, and his broad shoulders obstructed the little view of Jimin you had to begin with.

Jungkooks eyes were narrowed at one thing and one thing only. Jimin noticed Jungkooks pointed ears and hardened features. His stance was one he knew all to well in the profession he was in.

Having worked with multiple hybrid types over the years, Jimin knew their habits. What they liked and disliked. The front that the feline adjacent him had, clearly wanted to show his superiority over him.

Jimin wasn't scared at all. He'd dealt with types like Jungkook his entire career and knew how to handle him. However, he knew you were there watching him. Judging him. Clearly the hybrid meant something to you if you had agreed to call him for help.

Oh how he wished your opinion of him wasn't so skewed. He's a jerk. He knows this, but he would never intentionally do anything to harm you.

He'd always been a show off. Around you he became nervous though, always saying stupid things without thinking first. Plus to him, you were irresistible. Especially when you were alone with him, drunk. With rosey apple colored cheeks and a smile so dreamy it puts shame to the fluffy pools of water in the sky.

That night he wanted- no needed you. He couldn't help himself anymore especially in his intoxicated state of mind. When you had pushed him away from you like he were some kind of rabid stray, his heart shattered into a million tiny pieces, too small and scattered to put back into place.

The next morning when he realized what he had done, he felt like a total jackass. He had tried to get in touch with you numerous times to apologize, but, to no avail. So when he heard from your mutual friend Hoseok that you were in need of his help, he had dropped his entire schedule for the day to come to your rescue, hoping he could be of some help to you. And maybe so you could forgive him.

Which is why he decided to play along with Jungkooks little game of alpha, omega.

Raising both hands as a sign of defeat, Jimin took two steps back before lowering them again.

Gently, you squeezed Jungkooks hand before walking beside him.

Finally being able to see each other clearly, you realized that besides Jimins hair, nothing had really changed. He was still charming in the way he stood, his stoic face lightened by his somewhat puffy cheeks.

You took a deep breath letting go of Jungkooks hand, to his dismay, and took a step forward.

"Hi Jimin." You breathed out, finally.

He smiled almost thankfully before replying.

"Hi y/n."

A few minutes of small talk later, and an added annoyed looking Jungkook, Hoseok spoke up.

"Alright, lets get down to business, shall we?" He said pointing towards the dining room.

Nodding you led the way as an attached Jungkook didn't leave your side.

Letting Jimin sit at the head of the table, you sat to his right, Jungkook next to you, and Hoseok on the other side of Jimin.

"Ok then. Let's begin." Jimin spoke first, breaking the awkward silence.

"Jungkook, I know a good amount about your situation. For now the best I can do is forge some documentation with your new name, being under the ownership of y/n. Also, you'll have to wear this." Jimin ended, pulling out a silver necklace from the black leather breve case he had taken with him.

Holding it out to you as if it was a fine piece of art on display, you gently took it from his grasp. Looking at it closely, you could see Jungkooks name clearly in beautifully engraved script. Flipping over the silver tag, you found your address, phone number and last name.

Your eyes glanced over towards Jungkook whose eyes were trained on the piece in your hand. Slowly you held it out to him.

"Well? What do you think, Jungkook?" The boy gulped as he took the dangling tag out of your hands, examining it front and back.

He looked over towards Jimin before speaking. "Are you sure this is going to work?" He snarled a bit.

Jimin nodded re-assuringly. "Absolutely. I've done this countless times before. It works, I promise." He said looking back and fourth between the three of you. "As long as you have these papers to match."

He reached into his briefcase and pulled out a manila folder holding what looked like multiple documents. Raising it up he slid the folder towards you. Catching it with your left hand you skimmed through it as the pages flipped underneath your thumb.

"These look...legit. Jimin, how did you do these so fast?" You said baffled until your eyes landed on his. Dark circles that you hadn't noticed before made themselves apparent. His usual eye smile wasn't as bright as you remembered.

"I had some free time." He said quietly, giving a meek smirk.

You sighed, eyes traveling back to Jungkook. "So? What do you think?"

He held out the necklace toward you for you to take.

You grimaced in defeat. Was it you? Was that why he didn't want to take it? Did he feel bad about Jimin helping? Or was it just that he didn't want an owner?

Before you could think any further, Jungkook stood up pulling out his chair kneeling in front of you, his back being towards you.

You stared at the back of his head until he turned around sensing your stare.

"I want you to put it on." He mumbled quietly, turning back around before you could see the slightly deeper hue of his cheeks.

Smiling in relief, you unclasped the necklace bringing it around his neck. You could hear the softest sounds of his calming breath while you clasped the necklace back in its place.

"All done." You tapped his shoulder and he took his seat never taking his eyes off of the piece of jewelry that hung low on his collar bone.

He smiled, his eyes looking somewhat at peace. He was yours now. There were documents and an ID tag. He could walk freely with you normally without people getting suspicious.

His smile faltered for a slight moment before looking back at you.

"Y/n. Are you sure about this? If we get caught you'll get into a lot of trouble. I don't want that at all."

You smiled sweetly taking one of his hands in your own.

"I don't want anyone in this room to get in trouble Jungkook. But it's worth the risk if it means you'll be safe."

Jungkooks heart warmed at the sentiment. Never had he ever experienced care like the kind you've showed him. Nodding, he smiled back assuringly.

"Okay."

"Well, now that problem is out of the way," Hoseok spoke up. "We have a bigger issue to deal with."

Nodding agreeing, Jimins eyes furrowed. "This facility you guys have spoken about...I need more details before I could start looking into it but, it doesn't sound good. I thought what I do was bad...but this? Experimenting on hybrids? That's unheard of."

Jungkook winced at the mention of his old living quarters. Giving his hand a gentle squeeze, you spoke.

"Ok. Well since the most immediate problem is over, we could discuss that another time when we're all rested and at one hundred percent. Today's been stressful, for all of us." You ended looking between the three boys.

Hoseok nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Let's take a few days off. We can do our own individual research and meet up in a week. Sound good?"

"Yeah." "Yes."

"That's good for me, I'm exhausted." Jimin said standing up stretching.

"Before I go," he said sounding more serious then before. "I have to warn you guys. Even though those papers and that tag are as authentic as you can get...those people are most likely still on the look out for you. Especially in an organization like that. I know personally if there's ever a slip up on my team, I make them do anything they can to fix it."

Everyone let Jimins words sink in. He was definitely correct on this. He knows the most in this subject after all.

"I would limit your outings to only a few times a week. At least at first."

Gathering his belongings desperate for sleep, Jimin looks in your direction.

"If that's all I'll be going. I'll keep in contact and see what my sources can find." He looks at Jungkook and nods. Receiving a nod in return, he smiles at his success.

Eyes glancing at you now, he's relieved to see you smiling back.

"Ok. Well, I guess it's time to go now. If you have any questions you know where to find me." He nodded, Hoseok getting up out of his seat to show him the door.

Looking back to the boy to your right, you smiled reassuringly, to which he smiled back.

"Y/n. Thank you."

"Of course." You said getting up quickly. "Hold that thought!"

"Wait!" You said running from the dining room to the front door when the boys were thankfully still standing.

"Jimin!" You yelled as he looked surprised to see you.

You smiled genuinely.

"Thank you."

It's finally out!! I'm so sorry it took so long. I have some reoccurring health problems that I needed to take care of so it took a lot longer to write then I intended. Everything's fine now! It was a false alarm so we're all good! Anyway...let me know what you think! Love you xoxo -Emy
