Sonic: Where are we?
The Tornado is flying over a huge desert island.
Nicole: According to my data, we are at the Wild Canyons.
Knuckles: And the next Chaos Emerald is here?
Nicole: Correct. I'm sensing alot of chaos energy from a nearby temple.
Sonic punches his fist into his palm.
Sonic: Then let's get to it before RoboLoser has a chance to get his grimy hands on it!
Tails: Yeah!!
Tails then flies the tornado towards a rundown stone temple and lands the tornado. The four leave the tornado and stand infront of the temple.
Sonic: Doesn't seem like RoboEmeperor got here yet.
Knuckles: We should still be on guard. We don't know what dangers awaits us inside.
The others nod as they all enter the temple. Tails is looking at his tracking device as it starts to glitch out.
Tails: Oh no.
Sonic: What's wrong Tails?
Tails: The Chaos tracker is acting up. How are you fairing Nicole?
Nicole's eyes turn pure light blue and then returns to normal, a look of slight annoyance appears on her face.
Nicole: I can sense it but it's all over the place. It might be the reason why your device is malfunctioning?
Knuckles: Sonic, do you see it?
Sonic: See what?
Knuckles points ahead of them, Sonic turns to see a slight trail of yellow sand particles.
Sonic: The sand? Knuckles we're in a desert area, of course there's sand.
Tails: What sand?
Sonic looks back with a confused look.
Sonic: The line of sand particles in the air infront of us. Can't you see it?
Tails: No. I don't see anything
Nicole: My sensors also don't detect anything.
Sonic turns to Knuckles.
Sonic: Why can we see it?
Knuckles: I can see it because I've been attuned to the Master Emerald for so long that I can see chaos energy. I don't know about you though.
Sonic: Well, Tails did say I was imbued with chaos energy, which is why I have super speed. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Knuckles: Maybe. But in any case, we can just follow the trail and it'll lead us to the Chaos Emerald.
Sonic: Then let's go.
The four continue walking down the corridor, following the trail as they go. As they are walking, Tails notices something on the walls.
Tails: Hey guys, look at this.
The others stop and look to see ancient images of echidnas holding up 7 multi colored emeralds, each surrounded by a different element. There is also some writing in an ancient language.
Sonic: The Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic looks at the writing.
Sonic: Can any of you read this?
Nicole: It's an ancient form of the echidna language, I'll-
Knuckles: "The servers are the 7 Chaos. Chaos is power... Power enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the Chaos." These are the dying words of Tikal when Chaos split itself into the emeralds. This is where some of my people went to hide one of the emerald. This might be where she went.
Tails: She?
Knuckles shakes his head.
Knuckles: It's nothing.
Sonic points at the emeralds.
Sonic: They're each surrounded by an element.
Knuckles nods.
Knuckles: Correct. Chaos split itself into the first seven elements that were the basis of creation.
Knuckles points at the red emerald.
Knuckles: Fire.
Knuckles points at the yellow one.
Knuckles: Earth.
Knuckles then points at the blue one.
Knuckles: Wind.
Knuckles then points at the purple one.
Knuckles: Lightning
Knuckles points at the green one.
Knuckles: Nature.
Knuckles then points at the white one.
Knuckles: Ice.
And Knuckles points at the final cyan emerald.
Knuckles: And crystal. It is also said that before Chaos separated, his form was that of water. Which is considered to be the element of true chaos.
Sonic whistles.
Sonic: Wow.
Tails: So each emerald is a conduit of a certain element.
Nicole: Which now explains why Sonic saw fire surrounding the red emerald.
Sonic: And since me and Knux are seeing a path of sand, I'm guessing the next emerald we'll see is the yellow one.
Knuckles: Knux? Who's Knux?
Sonic chuckles.
Sonic: It's you pal. Just a little nickname I made.
Knuckles blushes slightly.
Knuckles: O-oh, cool.
Sonic smirks.
Sonic: Alright, let's keep going.
The group continues into the temple until they come across a podium in the middle of a huge room. In the center of the room Sonic and Knuckles see a rocky aura surrounding a yellow emerald.

Sonic smiles.
Sonic: Alright!!! We found it!
Tails: And it seems like we found it before the RoboEmeperor.
Sonic: Well then, let's snatch it up and get on our way.
Sonic runs straight at the emerald. Before Sonic can reach the emerald, a blue blur charges straight at Sonic and sends him tumbling backwards.
Tails/Knuckles: SONIC!!
Sonic gets up to see the blue metallic hedgehog looking down at him.
Sonic: What the heck? And who are you supposed to be?
The robot hedgehog turns around and starts floating towards the emerald.
Sonic: Oh no you don't!!!
Sonic charges towards the robot and pushes him away from the emerald.
Sonic: GUYS, GET THE EMERALD!!! I'll deal with Mr. Metal head.
The three nod as they all head towards the emerald. Sonic starts stretching his arms.
Sonic: So what's your name? You kinda look like me, just not as handsome.
The robot stares blankly at Sonic. Sonic chuckles.
Sonic: Alright "Metal Sonic", let's see how tough you are!
Sonic charges at Metal but Metal quickly dodges and starts flying straight towards the emerald. Sonic quickly runs straight at Metal and grabs his arm.
Sonic: Aha!! Gotcha!!
Suddenly, Metal's arm begins to stretch as it continues to fly towards the emerald.
Sonic: What?!
Knuckles reaches the emerald and grabs it.
Knuckles: Got it!!
Sonic: Knuckles, look out!!
Knuckles looks up to see Metal right next to him and punches Knuckles. The punch sends Knuckles flying and makes him drop the emerald. Metal tries to go and grab it but Tails comes flying towards him.
Tails: I won't let you take it!!!
Metal looks at Tails and swings the arm that Sonic is holding at Tails, making the two hit each other and land on the floor. Nicole appears infront of Metal and her eyes turn light blue.
Nicole: I think it's time to turn you off.
Nicole begins to try and hack Metal but Metal just grabs Nicole's face and tosses her away. Metal grabs the emerald and then flies away. The four get back up as Metal leaves.
Sonic: Damnit, we lost another one.
Knuckles: Is this how it's always gonna be? The RoboEmeperor coming in and taking the emeralds and leaving us defeated?
Tails: Do we even stand a chance?
???: Don't lose hope yet.
The four turn around to see a translucent female echidna.

Sonic: Who are you?
Tikal: I am Tikal, and I have taken a liking to you all.
Tails: You're the girl who befriended Chaos!!
Knuckles: My ancestor.
Tikal softly smiles at Knuckles.
Tikal: You did well Knuckles, protecting the Master Emerald.
Knuckles: I'm sorry I failed our people.
Tikal touches the side of Knuckles' face.
Tikal: You did the best you could. You are a fine guardian.
Nicole: This is illogical. How are you here?
Tikal: When I died, Chaos turned me inti a spirit and sealed me into the Master Emerald. When the RoboEmeperor took the Master Emerald, that action released me from the emerald.
Sonic: Did.... did you show me the vision?
Tikal: I did.
Sonic: Why? What did it mean?
Tikal: To show you what will happen, to motivate you. Chaos cannot fall into the wrong hands, or else the world will be brought into absolute chaos. And you four I have deemed to be worthy of finding Chaos.
Tails: But we've lost two of the emeralds and the Master Emerald. It already seems like we're far behind.
Tikal: Don't be so down Miles, you still have five more emeralds to go. And I have faith you'll beat the RoboEmeperor.
Sonic grips his fist and raises it infront of his face.
Sonic: I promise Tikal, we'll make sure your sacrifice was not in vain. We'll stop that RoboJerk and make sure no one abuses Chaos.
Tikal smiles.
Tikal: That is all I need. Farewell my friends, I hope to see you all again soon.
Tikal then disappears infront of them.
Tails: So.... five more emeralds.
Nicole: The odds are still favorable.
Knuckles: We must find them, so we can put the sins of my ancestors to rest.
Sonic: And save the world while were at it.
Sonic smirks and flick his nose.
Sonic: I like these odds.

*in a mechanical city*

A chipmunk lady and a cyborg bunny girl are running down an alley way.

Bunnie: Ya think we lost him Sal?
Sally: Don't think so. But we got to head back and warn Eggman and Antoine.
Sally pulls out a blue device and puts it against a wall and presses a button. Suddenly a blue portal appears on the wall.
Sally: Alright Bunnie, you first.
Bunnie: Ya better be behind me hun, or I'll beat the crap out of ya.
Sally winks at Bunnie.
Sally: Promise.
Bunnie nods and before she steps through a RoboPaladin appears in the entrance of the alley. Sally turns to Bunnie and grabs her.
Sally: Tell Miles I'm sorry.
Bunnie: Wait, Sal-
Sally pushes Bunnie through the portal and deactivates the portal. Sally cracks her neck as she summons a sword and shield.
Sally: I hope Mogul sent his best, or else I'm gonna be disappointed.
Sally then charges at the paladin as it fires at her.

Wow. A new chapter after the Sonic movie 2 released. I guess you can see how I got motivated to write this again. Also sorry guys, I know you want me to be a frequent uploader but I'm like lazy and busy with irl stuff. But it felt really good to write again. And hmmm, Sally got introduced. And Mogul, wonder who that could be? Probably not a obscure character from the Archie comics noooooo. Anyways, hoped you enjoy the chapter and hopefully the enxt one won't be as long.
