"So, Harry," Professor Babbling said when Harry stayed behind after his first ancient runes lesson with her. "what do you think about my class?" She asked.

"It was really interesting," Harry smiled as Jet climbed on to his shoulder. "can I ask what else we will be learning about over the year?"

"You can," Professor Babbling - or Beth as Harry called her in private - smiled, glad to have a student who took an interest in her class. "well today we just went through some basic runes like 'Sowilo', which is what rune?" She trailed off, waiting for him to finish.

"It is the 'sun' rune," Harry answered.

"Yes it is, or at least one variation of it." Beth nodded. "We'll be doing some more complicated runes as we go along but it will mostly depend on the speed of the class."

"Got it," Harry said before he paused and cast a tempus spell to check the time. "I've got to my next class. See you later."

"Harry," She said before he could turn and leave. "what is all of this about a blood feud?" She asked, looking worried. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Harry chuckled. "Weasley was just being an idiot. He was pushing and pushing, and he wasn't learning and was gettung on my last nerve, so I had to make it clear what would happen if he didn't shape up. I don't really plan to initiate a blood feud unless I absolutly have to. Now...I have to go for my next lesson, I'll see you later. Oh and I'm looking forward to the next lesson." Harry grinned before he walked out.

"Goodbye." Professor Babbling called after him, smiling as he left.

Harry was currently sat in the Slytherin common room with his other year mates after a long day of school.

"Is it true that you really nearly started a blood feud with the Weasley's?" Draco asked, looking at Harry like he was his new hero.

"I was very close to doing so," Harry nodded whilst not looking away from the book he was reading, despite that he knew that all of his friends were listening to him. "I warned Mr Weasley - the head of house one, not the annoying younger ones - that if he didn't get Ronald under control then I would activate that blood feud. Weasley had gotten on my last nerve, his attention seeking little games were amusing at first but I've grown tired of them long ago."

"Weasley, if he even has three brain cells, should be smart enough to not want to try something else against you now." Theo replied.

"Unfortunately I think you have accurately predicted the exact amount of brain cells that he has." Harry said with a dramatic sigh, earning laughs from the others.

"Oh, I'm going to have so much fun teasing him." Draco grinned.

"No." Harry calmly replied without looking away from his book.

"What do you mean 'no'?" Parkinson sneered at him. "Going soft?"

"Alright Parkinson," Harry sighed as he put his book down and looked at Pansy. "much like Weasley your actions used to - I repeat 'used to' - be amusing. But I've grown rather tired of it. So first of all, stop sneering at me and control your face before I break your teeth." Harry warned, the sneer vanished from Parkinson's face so fast that it looked like it was vanished by magic. Pansy wanted to say something but as she looked at Harry she couldn't help but believe that he really would break her teeth. "Also, stop those 'subtle' little comments of yours before I really give you something to talk about."

Harry gave her a hard stare with Jet on his shoulders who was doing the same, almost daring her to talk back to him, she looked at him for several moments before looking at the others. Blaise and Nott's face were blank, Draco along with Crabbe and Goyle were looking away from her, she looked at Tracey who simply shrugged while Daphne raised an eyebrow at Pansy. Both girls silently telling her that she had brought this on herself. Seeing that she would get no back up her shoulders slumped and she bowed her head slightly to look away.

"Good," Harry said before he turned to Draco. "Draco, you are a Malfoy, as such I am sure that your father would have taught you that image is everything?" Harry asked, Draco frowned but nodded. "As of right now everyone will know that I threatened Weasley with a blood feud, if we deliberately antagonize him then we will look like the bad guys. However if we leave him alone then it will look like we are good students and Weasley had simply pushed us to the edge, pushed us to the point where I felt like I had no choice but to issue a warning in order to stop him from pushing more."

"As much as I would love to torture Weasley..." Daphne sighed as she picked up Jet and began petting him. "Harry's unfortunatly right.

"Harry is definetly right," Angela said as she walked over. "if you keep pushing then Slytherin's reputation will get much, much worse." She said before she turned to Harry. "May I please talk with you in private?" She asked.

"Sure," Harry nodded before he stood up. "ladies, gentlemen, Parkinson." Harry nodded to the others before he followed Angela up into his room. "What's up?" Harry asked.

"I'm going to contact our reporter friend," Angela told him as she closed the doors. "we need to get ahead of this blood feud buisness quickly."

"Agreed." Harry sighed as he sat on his bed. "Curse Weasley to hell, the little shit can't help but cause problems."

"I know," Angela sighed as she sat next to him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and began planting kises all over the side of his face and neck. "hmm...you're so stressed," She hotly whispered into his ear. "maybe I should find a way to make you feel better."

"Oh?" Harry asked, his voice had become slightly deeper than he had intended.

"Yes," Angela leaned back and a grin came on her face, she pushed Harry down so he was lying on his back. "and I have the perfect way of helping you out."

"Angela?" Harry asked as she got onto her knees.

"Relax Harry," Angela licked her lips as she undid his belt buckle before she pulled his pants down. "I'm going to make you feel really good." She said before she lowered her head.

"Oh fuck!" Harry groaned.

"Ron!" Neville quickly rushed towards Ron when he and the other Weasley children entered the Gryffindor common room, every person in the common room was now looking at them. "Everyone's heard! Harry Potter threatened your family with a blood feud?!"

"Yeah," Ron growled. "I couldn't believe it, he..."

"Enough!" Percy said before Ron could say anymore. "Don't forget what Father told you," Percy hissed into Ron's ear. "don't even say anything bad about him, I don't want to risk him hearing it." Ron paled but nodded. "Look," Percy said to Neville and the other two Gryffindor boys in Ron's year. "Potter did threaten the family with a blood feud and it would only take place if Ron kept bothering him, so can you please do me a favour and keep an eye on him when me and my brothers are not here and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid?"

"I don't need people to look after me!" Ron protested.

"If that was true then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place!" Percy snapped at him before he stormed off and went to his room.

"Now you've done it." Both twins sighed, they both gave Ron a dope slap on the back of his head before they also went off to their rooms.

"Why are you smiling?" Daphne asked in a sucpicious voice as she and the others walked down towards the care of magical creatures lesson. Harry, who did indeed have a smile on his face simply wrapped an arm around her shoulders, causing her to blink and look at him in shock.

"Well Daph," Harry grinned as he kissed her forehead, "I get to spend the day in your presence, is that not a good enough reason to smile?" he asked in an innocent voice.

"Prat." Daphne said as she pushed his arm off and looked away from him, damn him for making her blush.

"I'm actually happy because I can finally last a lesson without Weasley irritating me." Harry quickly lied, well...that was actually true, he did enjoy the idea of having a lesson without Weasley irritating him, it was also far less likely thanks to the quick article that Harry was able to get out with the help of Angela. The article masterfully told the story of how Harry had tried to ignore Ron many times over and finally lost it after years of irritation when Ron had insulted Harry's adopted sister.

Anyone who knew anything about the two would know that Ron did indeed go after Harry and that he kept pushing so it made sense that Harry would eventually get tired of it. Harry had also made sure to send a letter to Tonks and her parents to let them know about everything that happened, mostly just to save himself from the high amounts of drama that would happen if they had found out through the newspaper. But the real reason he had been smiling was because of his time with Angela, sweet Merlin he had enjoyed that. That mouth thing was brilliant, he would have to ask her to do it again

"I can't believe Dumbledore has the oaf teaching classes." Draco complained as they walked towards Hagrid's hut.

"I suppose I can see both sides of the argument," Harry replied. "on the one hand he is the large gameskeeper but on the other hand he is also pretty knowledable on magical creatures. Either way, we're not going to interfere in the lesson, if he does something worth punishing then let him be punished for it. If not then it makes no sense to ruin our own education because we simply don't like him." Harry said just before they arrived outside of his hut.

The Slyherin's waited, the other students arrived a minute or two later, the Gryffindors making sure to keep their distance from Harry. It wasn't hard to notice that they were standing in-between the Slytherin's and Ron, most likely to keep the idiot out of their way.

"Gather around everyone," Hagrid called as he stood in front of the hut. "less chatter from you lot at the back. Now, listen up, I've got a real treat for you guys today." Hagrid grinned, "Follow me." He said before he turned and began walking off. The students exchanged looks before they followed behind him, all talking amongst each other until they reached their destination. "Right you lot, form a group over there and open your books and turn to page forty nine." Hagrid instructed.

"And how exactly do you suppose we do that?" Draco drawled as he held up his book, the book might have quite informative, but the class didn't know that as they found it difficult to access the information within due to the book's unfortunate tendency to try and bite off the reader's fingers, Draco like the rest of the class had not been able to find a way to open the book without it trying to attack him and had kept it shut with a belt. Hagrid looked around and saw that everyone had had their books held shut with belts or ropes.

"Has nobody been able to work out how to open the books?" Hagrid asked as he looked around. "Y...you just have to stroke the spines, look." He said as he took Harry's book and stroked the book's spine before he handed it back to Harry, Harry raised an eyebrow but did open it.

"Hmm, okay, but perhaps in the future you could let someone else know so they could tell us or maybe have it written down somewhere." Harry suggested.

"Uh...right, just wait here." Hagrid said before he turned and walked away.

"This is starting off great." Draco sighed.

The class talked amongst each other for a few moments, only stopping when Hagrid returned, except he didn't really come back alone. With him was a grey colored creature that most definitely did not exist in the muggle world. It had the front legs, wings, and head of a giant eagle and the body, hind legs and tail of a horse.

"Isn't he beautiful?" Hagrid smiled brightly before tossing the creature a dead ferret which the creature quickly ate up. "Say hello to Buckbeak."

"Hagrid! What exactly is that?" Ron Weasley asked as he took a step back.

"That, Ron, is Buckbeak and Buckbeak is a hippogriff." Hagrid answered. "The first thing you need to know about hippogriffs is that they are very proud creatures, very easily offended. You do not want to insult a hippogriff, it may just be the last thing you ever do." Hagrid warned before he continued speaking with a lighter tone. "As you can see it is a combination of an eagle and a horse, it is very similar to another magical creature, the griffin, 'cept with them you'd replace the horse parts with lion parts. In fact the 'griff' in their name comes from the fact that they are so similar to griffins. Hippogriffs eat insects, birds, anything small enough really. Now, who'd like to say hello? Oh...well done Harry."

"Beg your pardon?" Harry blinked, he looked back and saw the rest of the students and saw that they had stepped back, making it look like he had walked forwards. "You traitrous little shits!" Harry hissed with disbelief.

"Come on Harry, don't be shy." Hagrid called.

"Give us a sec." Harry sighed as he handed Jet over to Daphne. "if I die then avenge me." Harry hissed to Jet.

"Of course, I'll start with the big one." Jet said as he eyed Hagrid.

"Be careful, Harry." Tracey whispered.

"I'll do my best." Harry said before he turned and began walking. The Gryffindor's looked at Ron and saw that he was about to make a comment of some sort, likely one that would not end well. Remembering Percy's words, they decided to stop that. Hermione by stomping on his foot, Neville by elbowing him in the gut while Seamus and Dean went for the old 'give him a dope slap on the back of his head', all unintentionally happening at the same time.

"Ow!" Ron hissed in pain as he glared at the others who all glared back.

"Atta boy, Harry." Hagrid grinned when Harry stopped a small distance away from Buckbeak. "Now the first thing you need to do is greet him, so you look at him and give him a nice bow, if he bows back then you can go and touch him, if not...well then I'd recommend you move back quickly."

"Gotcha." Harry nodded before he looked at Buckbeak. Harry bowed, bowing was an odd thing for Harry. He had always associated it with submissivness when he was younger, but now he knew that it was also a sign of respect. And as he looked at Buckbeak, he couldn't help but feel some respect for him. Odd though he might be, he was still a beautiful looking magical animal and was very unlikely to be all bark and no bite.

"Good lad, nice and low." Hagrid whispered. Buckbeak started at Harry for several seconds, looking like he was trying to analyse Harry, after a short while he bowed his head. "Oh well done, Harry! Well done!" Hagrid beamed before he tossed Buckbeak another ferret. "I think he may let you touch him now, just walk over, nice and slow. Stop when you get close then let him close the distance and come to you."

"Got it." Harry nodded, he did as Hagrid had told him to do. Roughly about a minute later Harry gasped in amazement as he was petting Buckbeak.

"He likes you," Hagrid grinned. "he may let you ride him now."

"What?" Harry blinked but before he could respond he found himself picked up by Hagrid and put on top of Buckbeak.

"Don't pull out any of his feathers, he doesn't like that." Hagrid said before he slapped Buckbeak on the back. The hippogriff stood on its back legs before it suddenly charged forwards before taking off into the air, Harry with it, a few seconds later it flew out of view.

"What are you doing?!" Daphne shouted, catching Hagrid's attention and silencing the previously cheering crowd.

"Eh?" He blinked as he looked at her.

"Have you lost your mind?!" Daphne demanded.

"I...what are you..."

"Are you trying to get Harry killed?!" Tracey said, glaring at Hagrid.

"What?! No, I..."

"Because what you just did was grab him and shove him on top of a large magical creature before sending them both flying into the air!" Tracey cut him off. "Without his permisson or consent either! You just grabbed him and picked him up!"

"Nor did you have a saftey harness or a saddle in place to make sure Harry doesn't fall off! For all we know Harry could have fallen off and landed on his neck!" Daphne added, causing Hagrid to pale slightly. If anyone was paying attention then they would have seen Ron get hit again when his smile got a little too big.

"I knew we shouldn't have attended this class." Draco whispered to the other boys.

"Look...I..." Hagrid gulped as he tried to think up a good response. "I just...I'm sure he's fine." He said in a weak voice. The students in the class began talking amongst themselves, something which did not help Hagrid who already felt like he had just caused a car crash.

"Harry will be glad to know that I will have avenged him." Jet hissed, he was fully ready to leap off of Daphne and head towards Hagrid but stopped when he heard the sound of wings, a few seconds later Buckbeak landed down with Harry still safely on his back, funnily enough Ron was also hit again.

"Well...that was fun." Harry said in a dry voice as he hopped off and looked at Buckbeak, "thank you for that." Harry said as he petted him, Buckbeak leaned into his touch, sqwaking happily as he did so. Harry nodded to him before he looked at Hagrid, "while I will admit to enjoying that, I'd prefer if next time you can let me know before shoving me on top of a hippogriff." Harry said before he turned and walked back to the Slytherin's.
