It would take a week before the Cullens saw Alex at school. And a week after that before things were slightly back to normal after Edward apologized. It had too, she lost a bet to Jasper.

"This is going well." Alex whips her head around as she looks at Jasper. He raises an eyebrow at the mess around them. It appeared to be that she had been chopping wood and going through the trees as if they were nothing. He smiles at the sight of his girlfriend and she sighs as she throws the axe in a block of wood.

"Hey." A smile plasters itself on her face as she walks towards Jasper and he opens his arms, waiting for the inevitable hug. "We need enough wood for the winter right?"

"All the winters for the rest of your life?" A smirk graces Jasper's lips as Alex fake gasps and pushes him lightly.

"That's not nice." He presses his lips against her temple.

"Never said I was." He walks in while Alex stays in the backyard, shaking off any excess wood shreds before coming into the house. Jasper raises an eye at this and Alex shrugs.

"Peter got mad that I broke a part of the house last week so I'm trying to keep everything clean." Jasper nods in understanding and takes a look around. You could see where they had fixed the house last week. The hallway had always been a loose part of their small house but now it stood out even more. They used the same bricks but the fact that they were new made it look as if a whole different sort had been used. Everything was new. From the curtains that hang in front of the door, the new cabinet underneath a different mirror, to the pins that could hold their coats.

"So that's what you've been doing." He sighs in understanding.

After everything that went down between her and Edward, Jasper was the one to run after her and ease her anger. It didn't help that Peter came home three hours later and told her what Edward had said. Had she overreacted? Maybe. Was Edward allowed to say it? No. Rosalie would have done the exact same thing. After all, it ha taken a while for them to be accustomed to everything. For Edward to show that he was different, it made everything difficult.

He hadn't seen her at school all week. He had seen her when they had their walks together, something he took over from Edward on Tuesdays ever since Bella came into town, and they already did on Thursdays and Fridays.

"How you doing?" Jasper asks as he sits down at the countertop while Alex makes herself something to eat. He would've loved to join her. To enjoy a freshly made meal after working outside all day. To feel the warmth of the fireplace.

"I'm okay I guess." She shrugs and Jasper walks up to her and puts his arms around her, feeling her warmth. A smile creeps up on her face as Alex feels the strong arms of her boyfriend around her, consoling her. She turns around. "Really, I'm okay." Alex looks up and sees the concern in Jasper's eyes. "Don't worry." She mutters and he pulls her slightly closer, engaging in a strong hug. Something that Alex had come to really like. He lets go and before she can go back to making her sandwich, he kisses her.

They had kissed a few times before, but every single time was different. Alex enjoyed every glance, every touch. Everything about the man before her. He pulls on her legs and she breaks the kiss off to hop on the kitchen counter, where he stands inbetween her legs and he cups her face.

He slows down the kiss and they both lean their foreheads against one another. "I'm sorry," he begins. "I know you want to take things slow."

"Want to go camping?"

"Camping?" Jasper takes a step back and frowns.

"I just want to take my mind off everything. And you make me forget. We could grab along some cards and maybe monopoly?"

"Isn't that a little to much for you?" The last time they played that game, didn't go over well. She was a sore loser.

"If you're scared of the weather, we could go camping in our backyard?"

And thus they went. Jasper went home to grab some stuff to make sure that he would get through two nights with his girl. A smile popped on his face as he thought about what he had. He told Carlisle and Esme that he would be back Sunday evening and flipped the bird to Emmett, Rosalie and Alice who were making jokes and insinuations.

Alex had packed everything. A tent - which she and her brother often used - food, games, drinks, and of course blankets and pillows.

"I thought we were going camping?" Jasper says as he looks at whatever Alex has put outside. Her head pops out and she nods.

"Do you have any idea what normal humans would take?" He chuckles but doesn't reply to it while they make their way to Alex' destination.

"So tomorrow I thought we could go for a long nice walk?" Alex says as they lay down in the tent. It had started drizzling just a bit and they had put the tent up just in time.

"Sounds good." Jasper says as he lays down. He didn't know what to expect with Alex, he never would.

"Is it weird that everyone knows where we are?" Jasper asks her as she lays down against him, pulling the covers over them.

"Peter said tone down the make up and don't do stupid things." She chuckles and Jasper laughs.

"That's strange, Emmett said fifth date, don't bother coming home until you get some." It was their fifth date. You couldn't count the walks they had. But ever since he had brought her to the dinner, they had been on five dates.

"Sorry to disappoint Emmett but I'm more of a seventh date kind of girl." She smiles at him and he chuckles.

"Unrelated, want to go on two dates tomorrow?"
