Chapter 24 (Edited)

We had landed about three hours ago and everyone was in their rooms sleeping since we were all jet-lagged. I wasn't exhausted so I started to go through the files of the guys who were after Percy. The leader went by the name of Valentin. The guy I shot and saw drop dead was Boris. The other guys were Gavriil, Salomon, and Lael. There was barely any information on these guys let alone any papers about their background.

I picked up the disposable phone and dialed Henry.

"Hey Sky, what can I do for yah?" Henry's voice came through the phone. "Well, I'm going to assume you know about the President's request of me?" I asked. "Yes I am aware and I am glad he trusted you with this. What can I do for you?" he acknowledged.

I looked down at the papers that were on the floor in front of me. "I need more information on these guys. I barely have anything to go on," I informed him. There was a brief pause and I almost thought we got disconnected until he spoke again.

"That's all we could find on them. Everything from the system has been wiped out," he mumbled in a low tone. My eyebrows rose in anger and frustration. "How the hell does a secret organization have no information let alone have it all whipped out!!" I yelled into the phone.

"Sky -"

"Don't freak Sky me! Did you know that they found me and they knew where Percy was? They even know I have powers so don't you dare come up with some bullshit or so help me I will make you regret it," I threatened.

"Do not forget who you are talking to Ms. Marran," Henry growled. "How am I supposed to kill these guys without anything on them? Tell me, Henry," I demanded. He let out an annoyed sigh, "Okay kiddo, I'll call the President and see what he has then call you back."

"I'll call you by the end of today because everyone is on the island," I mumbled.

"Alright, but I doubt we'll get anything on th-"

"FUCKING FIND SOMETHING!! I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A CHEWED GUN! GET IT!!" I yelled into the phone before throwing the phone across the room.

I felt my body enraged with anger. This was the most stressful mission I have ever done. I can't really use my powers because they know how to contain it. I have to protect the President's son and lastly, I have to do all that without any knowledge of them. No background, no DNA tests, nothing.

I took the pictures up from the floor and then settle them on my dresser before walking out. I made my way down into the kitchen to see some of the guys eating or working on the laptop mostly for security or weapon services for our house. I took out a beer from the fridge and walked out of the kitchen and onto the beach. I walked further away from the house, down to the shore. Letting out a sigh, I sat down on the hot sand and looked out to the ocean.

Where did I go wrong in life? How did I get this far? How did I even get here? I should have just crawled out from under the bench and saved my parents. I don't care if I would have turned into a lab rat. I rather have my parents than not have them at all. They were not just my parents but like a guardian towards all the guys. A parent they never had. The organization was nice to provide things for us and take care of us but sometimes they did a shit job at it. They did tests on me for some time until Henry told them to cut it out. Turns out I could also fly but I never fully maintained the ability. I only flew once when a warehouse blew up and the explosion impact kicked me out the window. Ten feet before hitting the ground, my reflex kicked in and I flew for about 10 seconds but crashed to the ground.

I crossed my legs and held my hand open on top of both knees. I focused my telekinesis on the water. I listened to the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks and it washing up on the sand then retrieving back to where it came from. I closed my eyes and took the sounds and the smell of the beach in.

"Remember, you're more powerful than what you see. All it takes is a little focus," my mother always used to tell me.

I slowly curled my fingers into my palm and I felt a gush of air hit me. I kept my focus and continued. I heard water whirling around me and I felt my hair swaying with the wind. The wind got stronger and faster along with the sound of water clashing. I opened my eyes to see I was in the center of a water tornado. When I was small, I use to do this but it was small since I never put my mind to it. I looked up to see a hole that led to the sky. I looked through the water to see it was drawing more from the ocean.

I smiled at finally being able to accomplish this. "I did it Mom," I whispered. I opened one palm causing the water to stop drawing from the ocean but the tornado of water continued to swirl around me fast.

"Let's try to do this by mind and not hand," I mumbled to myself. I focused on the swarming waters and slowly lowered my palms. I smiled as it still continued to maintain its form. I stood up and looked up. Now the hard part. Flying.

I looked up to the opening in the tornado and then closed my eyes. I imagined myself getting lighter than a feather. I felt my feet slowly off the sand. I opened my eyes to see I was in mid-air. I looked below to see the water tornado under me still in motion. A huge smile took its spot on my face.

A loud piercing scream met my ears and I whipped my head around causing me to almost get whiplash. "What the fuck?" I mumbled as I saw a girl hugging Percy. Some of the guys were looking at her and looking at the tornado. I could make out her appearance or what they were saying since they we far away. I felt the tornado stop and I started to lose balance.

I watched as the sand came closer and closer each second. A scream escaped my mouth and I closed my eye bracing myself for the pain I will encounter. I then felt a grip on my body and I opened my eyes to see a pair of familiar eyes.

"Next time try not to go so high so you don't end up crashing into the ground and maybe almost breaking your bones," Lucifer said, pulling me up in his arms.

"It's not like I was trying to crash and thank you for catching me," I smiled and he nodded. "I was going to tell you Jayson is coming but you rushed out to the beach and felt you were mad." He then looked at me with a curious face, "Why were you mad?"

"The organization wants us to find these guys and they have nothing on them except their names," I explained. He rolled his eyes and scoffed, "What type of organization is that?"

"That's what I said," I agreed.

"So is this the famous Skylar Marran?" a voice chirped in front of Lucifer. I looked at Lucifer to see him roll his eyes. I slowly turned to meet a blonde-headed girl. She was short and a bit perky. She had on a tank top with shorts you might as well call underwear.

"So do you get carried around a lot?" she grinned and I noticed I was still in Lucifer's arms being carried bridal style.

"Who are you and why are you here?" I asked as Lucifer gently put me down. I looked around to see all the guys around us and Gabe pushed his way through making his way to me.

"My name is Sarah and I'm Percy's girlfriend," she said, keeping her eyes on Gabe. I heard a scoff from Gabe and I turned to see Percy looking at his phone. My eyes widened and I walked up to him. I snatched his phone and broke it in half before passing it back to him.

"What the hell was that for!" he said with rage.

This boy is going to meet his death not from the people after him but from me.

I took a big breath in then exhaled to calm my nerves. "What the fuck is she doing here?" I asked trying to control my temper.

"I invited her here. Since I saved your life and all I figured you owe me," he shrugged.

"You fuck up bro," Justin mumbled to Percy.

"OWE YOU?! I OWE YOU?!" I said with a sarcastic laugh. "I'M SAVING YOUR FUCKING LIFE FOR FUCK SAKE AND YOU HAVE THE -"

"Don't yell at him you hoe," his girlfriend jumped in. "ZIP IT YOU DONKEY-LOOKING ASS BITCH!" I spat at her. I then felt a sting on my cheek.

I looked to see she had a smirk. I was about to punch her but Percy stepped in the way. "She didn't mean it," his eyes widened.

I put my hands down. "Oh in that case it's okay," I lied. His eyebrows rose, "Really?"

"Of course not you asshole," I said before punching him in the face. I heard a loud crack and I knew I broke his nose. I watched as he groaned in pain and cupped his nose as it started to bleed. His girlfriend then stepped in front of him to check his nose.

"None of you help him," I demanded the guys and they all replied with a "yes." I looked at Sarah who was now cupping his face. "You better be gone when I come back," I growled at her.

I turned on my heels and started to walk away towards the beach so I don't end up killing him and his girlfriend. "Wait till my father hears about this," I heard Percy yell and I turned to look at him.

"Why should your father care about you when you disobey him? You show no respect and you get what you want. Why should he care about you?" I asked which only caused him to stand there in shock.

I turned around and started walking away ignoring those who called my name. I started to walk along the shore away from the house. I kept on walking not realizing it was raining. I looked at the ocean to see it was clashing against the rocks. I let out an angry scream and lightning flashed at once.

After a while, I started to head back to the house after failing to calm myself down. As I made my way back to the house I saw a black car parked on the side. I knew it was Jayson's instantly. I walked inside to meet the guys talking and relaxing. I felt something warm on me and I looked to see the maid had put a towel over me. "You're going to get sick Ms. Marran," she spoke with a sweet voice as she wrapped it around me.

This was Esther who was the nicest lady you could meet. She always kept a bright smile and made killer cookies. She was in her late 40s but still moved like a youngster.

"Then maybe I'll die and wouldn't have to protect that asshole," I mumbled, referring to Percy.

"I could throw some bleach in his drink for you," she laughed, and that ladies and gentlemen is why she was hired.

I laughed as she mentioned it and trust me she would if I ordered it. "Thanks but I think the President would kill me," I sighed. She let out a chuckle and dried my hair. "Go switch into some warm clothes before you get sick darling," she suggested before leaving.

I watched and her figure became smaller as she walked off into the distance down the hallway. I looked around to see the time and spotted a digital clock that wrote 7:26pm. I decided to go up to my room and call Henry to see if he found anything.

"This is Henry how -"

"Did you find anything?" I cut him off.

I hear a low muffled sigh. "Yes. I'll fax you everything the President gave us. It took a lot of work to find this information but Godric was able to find some things."

"Godric?" I mumbled. "Yeah. The President and Godric were close. Turns out he considers Godric as a son," Henry informed me. My eyes widened at this new information. Looks like someone was a busy boy after all these years.

"Sky?" Henry called through the phone. "Yeah I'm here," I mumbled. I knew he wanted to question my tone as to what just happened, but he didn't.

"Alright, well I'm faxing it to you now. Anything else?" he asked and I replied with a no and a thank you.

We hung up and I threw the wet towel off me into the clothes basket. I walked back downstairs to see Jayson was now in the kitchen munching on some chips. I felt my body being spun around. It was Jay. "You're wet and I miss you," he chuckled while hugging me. "No kidding," I mumbled.

We eventually pulled away and I turned to James who was occupied with the laptop. "In one hour, we're all heading into the conference room so tell the guys and them," I demanded and he nodded in confirmation.

As I turned around, I saw Percy's girlfriend sitting on his lap giggling. "ESTHER! WHERE ARE THE SHARK TANKS?!" I yelled while walking down the hall.
