And here they were, are arguing in the kitchen, Shigaraki yelling out all his frustrations on the black-haired boy male, rather than the blonde, who was labeled as the homewrecker in the midst of Shig's insults.

He was rubbing his temples, trying to come down from his breakdown, huffs loudly, and walks away from the scene. As he picks up his belongings, Dabi rushed over to talk to him but only received the silent treatment.

"Shigaraki, please, let us explain, I know I'm the worst"

"We can still be friends even if it's not right now!"

"Wait please don't go"

"Happy birthday, Touya, I had a blast"

The door was shut in front of him, and he turned over to Hawks, who's jaw dropped at the whole scene. He got up to hug Dabi but he was too frozen to react. "Give him time.. he should come around eventually," Hawks said in an effort to comfort him but nothing.

"I'm just gonna lay down... alone if you don't mind"

The blonde boy let go of him, watching him drag his leg all the way to the messy bedroom. Once he heard the boy sink into the bed and covers himself in all the covers, he cleaned the kitchen. During this time, a lot of things crossed his mind, especially the idea of how to make this right. All he had done up until was cause the roommate trouble. It was because of him that things ended up like this. It was bittersweet, how they had to sacrifice a friend to be together.

"Gagghhhh I'm so dumb" Keigo spouted at himself slapping his forehead. Then he stopped, he came up with an idea. He put on his shoes and ran out of the apartment, without notifying Dabi.

The blonde boy shuffled throughout the entire campus, which was ginormous all on its own. It took him about 2 hours when he found a lonely Shigaraki seating on a bench by the lake. He charged over there and stood in front of him.

"Mind if I sit?"

"Whatever"

Hawks's aura was already so obvious to Shigaraki he didn't need to look up to know who it was. He sounded tired and exhausted at best. So he accepted the answer as a yes and sat while still leaving a bit of space between them.

"It doesn't make sense" Shigaraki speaks, finally shattering the silence.

"What.."

"It doesn't make sense.. how he's been chasing you all these years, and now is when you decide to like him back, it's cruel you know"

"Oh wow I didn't think you'd be mad at me-"

"Shut the hell up, I'm not done"

The boy chuckled softly at the snarky comment and they both fumbled with their fingers and let the breath blow their hair and fill the gaps for their ongoing silence.

"I mean, it's just that I wanted to be the one to fix the heart that you broke.. but you ended up taking it away"

"Listen, man, for real I-"

"Why now? Of all times? Why when he was at his breaking point you chose to switch sides on him? After you fucked him up, making sleep next to the sounds of you railing women every night. You know the kind of pain you put him through? Hell, I'm surprised he didn't move out sooner"

All these words felt like stabs on his back, knowing that all that was coming from that mouth was the whole truth. How could he have done that to him? Why now?

"Shit I... I can't explain it either.. like I'm the one who deserves to be all alone, no offense"

"No worries, the damage is already done"

"Ha.. Well, I guess I always took advantage of him being there, I don't think I never realized how important he was to me. And when he left I don't know I just crumbled apart"

"So far it doesn't, maybe it's my bisexual awakening or however the kids call it these days"

"Guess I can't beat that, I wonder where I went wrong.."

Shigaraki nudged him on the shoulder, as a signal for him to take his comment seriously. They finally looked at each other. It seemed like Shigaraki was now calmer since he was confronted and talked to about the whole situation.

"Go back to the apartment, the birthday boy is waiting"

"You're right, well, see you around?"
