In gun form, it fires dust infused rounds (or pure dust, not sure exactly how it works in the show) at the enemy. but the bullet chamber contains multiple "bullets" each with a different color core to signify the different dust types. These different cores can be removed when depleted, and rotated manually (spun in the barrel) in order to get the desired dust effect. The blade can be used as a defensive/offensive weapon when closed, but it folds out into a longer blade for when more intense combat calls for it.

Semblance: Aura Creation

He Can Use his Aura in more Ways Than just Offensive and Defensive. He can Use it to make projectiles, To create Construct like blade, Wall, And Hammer, and he can infuse his fist for Extreme Strength Strong Enough to break Somebody's Aura. Which allows him to create aura constructs and manipulate it as he pleases. He mostly uses this power to fire aura beams which can be infused with dust to give it elemental properties as well as uses this power to create defensive constructs such as aura force fields, shields and barriers. He also uses this power to create levitating swords that fire aura beam fire them from under an enemy like creating a aura pillar which hits them from under or above them. He also fires aura beams through his sword/hand as well and also launches the aura sword as projectiles. The aura beams are powerful enough to vaporize steel. He is also very fast and strong due to having high amounts of aura which he uses to propel himself forward or uses it to increase his strength.With his semblance which is aura manipulation he can sense any enemy within a certain radius or proximity by expanding his aura when it touches the enemy.
