Experiment Part 1

A/N so this one is gonna be a bit longer than the previous stories, and so it's gonna be uploaded in 2 maybe 3 parts, depending on how long it will be and how long it will take for me to write it.

Enjoy!

Since the fight with Apocalypse, and Erik's known aid of the mutants fighting to save the world, the president had given him a certain level of freedom. Erik was allowed to live freely on the grounds of Xavier's school. The professor himself had become the President's main advisor in the area of mutants, but for a special meeting Erik was asked to join him. They were returning from the white house, and pulled up into the driveway of the house when the destruction caught their eyes. Trees were burning, many windows broken, the door beaten down and a few students lying numbly on the grass.

'Oh no!' Charles uttered.

Erik quickly got out of the car when they reached the mansion and looked around. Hoping to spot a silver head of hair, but it failed to catch his eyes.

'Erik!' He turned around when he heard Hank call out his name. The young man, walking in ripped clothes, and his glasses cracked, ran up to him.

'Hank, what happened? Where's Peter?'

Hank sighed. 'We got attacked...'

The professor wheeled over to them, followed by Scott who had helped him out of the car. 'Striker, I'm guessing?'

Hank nodded solemnly. 'I'm afraid so...'

Erik took a shaky breath, afraid to ask his next question. 'Hank, where is Peter?'

Hank looked down at his feet, and then at the professor. 'Some students and friends were taken... Peter was among them...'

Erik could feel the anger rise inside of him, his hand bawled up into fists, all he wanted to do was scream. Around them all the metal started contort. The car crushing inwards, and floating into the air.

'Erik!' Charles' voice was sharp. 'Erik, calm your mind, please.'

Erik let out a sigh and released the metal items of his grip.

'Let's get inside.' Charles stated.

Soon the professor, Erik, Hank, Mystique, Kurt and Scott were standing in the professor's office.

'So we are missing at least 12 people, including, Jean, Ororo, Peter and Isabelle?'

Raven nodded. 'They took some other students as well... It seemed they were mostly interested in people with gifts they might be able to weaponized or otherwise use in the military...'

'That's right... I saw it with my own eyes how they had knocked down Gaia, but since she can only make plants grow, they didn't want her and just left her for dead. Same with Jimmy who levitate himself.'

Erik looked confused. 'Then why did they not take Scott? And how do they think they can weaponized any of these gifts?'

Hank shrugged.

'I was standing in a corner by the gates of the mansion and took of my glasses, they couldn't really get near me...'

Raven could feel Erik's agitation. They both knew Peter had gotten caught because he was trying to help others. Raven saw it happen, Erik didn't need to, to know what his son was like. But now he was angry that Scott was still safe and sound because. In his eyes, all Scott did was save his own skin.

'It doesn't matter how Striker wants to weaponized their Powers. We need to focus on finding them, and getting them out of there!'

'How are we going to do that Raven, you've seen what they can do. Even if we have the element of surprise for timing. It's like they know all the powers we have! We can't win this unless we get new mutants which they don't know about.'

Suddenly Erik grinned. 'I think I might know someone...'

Charles eyes lit up and he smiled somewhat mischievously. 'Oh, that is brilliant my friend.'

Erik glared down at his friend. 'I thought you promised to never read my mind again.'

'You are projecting quite actively, my friend.'

'Can someone explain what's going on here?' Ororo asked. 'Who are we going to convince to help us? Who would want to help us? It's not like this stuff isn't dangerous!'

Erik just continues grinning. 'Wanda.'

'Your daughter?' Hank looked confused. 'What kind of power does she have?'

Charles looked puzzled. 'I'm not entirely sure. Usualy when I meet someone I can get an impression of what their powers are. With her it's difficult.'

Erik chuckled. 'Peter has at moments referred to it as witchcraft. I can't really explain her powers either, but it is like she can control energy. Creating plasma balls, and creating earthquakes. It's quite extraordinary. And one thing is for sure, she is extremely powerful. Striker will not know what hit him.'

'And she'll help us?' Ororo said, almost dumbstruck by the idea. 'I thought she hated you...'

'She is still somewhat unsure about her feelings towards me. But she will die protecting her brother, as he would die protecting her. That I am sure of.'

'Well then, what are we waiting for?' Scott said. 'Let's go get her, and make a plan.'

'Josh, I'm home!' Wanda called as she walked into the hallway. There was no answer from the living room, which confused her. 'Josh?' she asked as she walked into the living room.

'Oh, your boyfriend went to the store to pick up some groceries, Wanda.'

Wanda dropped her jaw, surprised by the sudden presence of her father. 'Dad?! What are you doing here?'

Erik grinned slightly. 'It's good to see you, too. Also I am not entirely sure if I approve of that young man being your boyfriend...'

Wanda chuckled as she rolled her eyes. 'I'm not sure you really have a say in that.'

'I probably don't. But we both know that that is not why I am here...' His toned turned solemn.

'Then why are you?' Wanda asked.

Erik looked down and took a deep breath. 'Striker, a soldier quite fixated on hurting mutants, attacked mansions and kidnapped some people, including Peter...'

'I'll do it.' Wanda quickly answered with determination. 'I don't care what it is you need me to do, but I'll do it.'

Erik smiled halfheartedly. 'I really wish I didn't have to ask this of you, Wanda, but I am very grateful that you will help us. We really need you. Peter needs you.'

She nodded. 'Well, then, let's go.'

'Where the hell are we?' Isabel asked as she woke up on a dirty matrass in a cell like environment.

Her eyes fell upon Peter in the cell next to her, leaning against the wall.

'We're in Striker's lair.' He mumbled. He was jittery, although he tried to hide it. Even to Isabel it was obvious he was nervous about being locked up in a small space.

'And they blocked our powers again...' Jean mumbled from the other cell next to Isabel.

'How?'

'Some kind of electric field.' Peter deadpanned again. 'They've done it before. Back then they didn't know Jean and some others had tagged along and they caused enough mayhem to get us out. But this time...' He sighed.

'We're stuck.' Jean softly stated.

They all knew they were in trouble. Who knew what striker would do to them. Peter had his ideas. He had heard the stories form his dad, and they terrified him to the bone. Not having his speeds, made him nervous, being locked up was a nightmare, put all together, he was downright worried. If these guys kidnapped them to interrogate, and to get answers, he didn't know how long he would be able to handle it. He knew he had to be strong, knew he had to fight them... but when it came down to the moment... would he be strong enough? He looked down at his hands, hoping and wishing his dad would come to save him. He knew the risk of that ending in disaster, the risk of people being killed. But he just had to accept that, because other lives were at stake. Not just that of his friends, but of the young students from the school, and those kids didn't deserve what was coming for them.

Peter's train of thought was interrupted by heavy footsteps coming their way. He looked up and saw how 4 guards stood by the door to his cell.

'Get up freak, it's time for you to meet the doctor.'
