The bell rang to signal the end of the day. Eddie watched from a distance as the losers all left together then he headed to Richie's. He was nervous, he had never met Richie's parents before. They just never seemed to be home when he went over.

He hesitantly knocked on the door and waited for somebody to open it, he could hear shouting inside and they didn't answer. This time he rang the bell, hoping they would hear.

Then the door swung open and a tall man was standing in the doorway. "What do you want Kaspbrack?" Eddie was unsure on how he knew his name but he didn't mention it.

"I need to talk to you... about your son." He nervously replied.
"why what has he done now?" Wentworth's voice grew angry thinking about how he's going to have to deal with Richie later.
"N-nothing sir! I'm just worried about him. I walked into the bathroom and he was forcing himself to throw up I think he-" Eddie was cut off.
"Good, boy needs to loose some damn weight."
Eddie was shocked by this remark but kept going.
"I think you should check him, for injuries! If he's doing that to himself then mayb-" once again he was cut off by a very angry Wentworth
"Injuries?"
"Yes I mea-"
"What has he been telling you?"
"What? Nothing? What are you on about."
"I don't give a shit about what you have to say about him okay? Just don't listen to anything he says, it's all bullshit."
And with that, the door was slammed in Eddies face. He couldn't believe what had just happened, he was trying to tell him things to help his own child and he just didn't care... what kind of parent wouldn't care?

(This is all happening while Eddie went to Richie's)
Somehow, Richie had yet again got a detention. The teacher made him stay in late, although there was really no point, he had done everything he could in that class and so he was made to sit in silence the whole hour, doing nothing. This was wasn't as hard as he thought it would be, it just felt like he was back at his old school. Although that was never a good feeling.

The clock turned to 4 and he was finally free to leave. Once he stepped outside he pulled out a cigarette and headed home, he decided he was too tired to meet the losers. But his heart stopped when he felt a hand take a strong grip of his wrist as he went to take another puff of his "cancer stick".

Slowly he looked toward the figure standing beside him, it was Henry Bowers.
"Where do you think your going faggot?" Henry asked while taking Richie's fag from his hand.
"Leave me alone Bowers. I can't be fucked with you today." Richie said as he rolled his eyes. He then felt a painful burning as Henry put out the fag on his neck then pushed him to the ground.

Richie tried to stand up but bowers got Patrick and hockstetter to hold him down. Richie closed his eyes waiting to be thrown about like a rag doll, but that never happened. Because Henry wasn't as stupid as Richie thought, he studied who he was hurting before doing it and with Richie he found that words hurt the most. So although there was a kick in between each insult, it wasn't as physically sore as he expected.
Fat. Ugly. Disappointment. Dike.
Hold everyone back. Nobody really cares. Everyone's tired of your bullshit. Nobody would miss you. If you just died it would be better for everyone.

And then he was left alone. All he could do was sit curled up in a ball, usually he wouldn't be so affected by Henry but he had finally figured out how to hurt him, every kick between every Insult gave him flashbacks to his old school, or flashbacks to all the horrible things his father continued to put him through.

Finally he got up and headed home, that's when he saw Eddie. Eddie was walking down his driveway. Eddie knew he wasn't home so why was he there? He started to panic but tried to push everything aside, his face and stomach hurt like hell. So he snuck in from his window so he didn't have to deal with his dads bullshit. He had to hide his face, his dad would kill him if he thought he was so weak he couldn't win a fight.  But all he could think about was
Why was Eddie here?
And
What did he say to my dad?
