Before I start I just wanna say I apologise if this isn't the best story ever but I'm trying aha, please leave any feedback you may have, good or bad and I hope you like it :)

Also this is an a/u so no the characters aren't exactly like they are in the book/movie.

It was the the first day back to school after a long, warm summer. Eddie was sat in class along with one of his best friends Beverly, she had amazing fiery, red and curly hair and she had the most beautiful eyes. She was smiling as she explained something to Eddie, although he was unsure to what she was talking about. He's too busy staring at the boy who had just walked into the classroom, he had thee most messy yet amazing black hair and beautiful freckles. Everyone went silent as the teacher spoke "class, we have a new student! This is Richie Tozier." Richie awkwardly waved.
Even his name his amazing.. Eddie thought to himself, Richie took a seat. "Mr Kaspbrack, you have been assigned to show Mr Tozier around to his classes until he gets to know the building" Richie looked over at Eddie and gave him a small smile, God he has such a nice smile Eddie thought to himself before looking back to the teacher "Okay miss.." Eddie noticed Beverly giving him a smirk "what?" Eddie asked her curiously. She chuckled then whispers "Someone likes the new kid!" Eddie could feel his cheeks burn up as she said those words. "Shut up! I don't!"
Beverly was the only one that knew about Eddie being gay, apart from mike. Of course he trusted the others, infact they knew he was gay without him telling them, they just figured it out! but he was closer to Beverly and Mike and so he came out to them officially...plus mike once walked in on a drunken Eddie making out with a boy once at a party.

It was after class and Eddie was putting his books away In his bag, Beverly had to leave as she had an appointment with the guidance teacher. Eddie heard a quiet voice behind him "Um... hi..." he turned around to see it was Richie, he looked even more beautiful up close, although he looked tense. "Richie! Hello" Eddie gave a warm smile and almost instantly he could see Richie relax a small amount but he still looked tense. "Let me show you around!" Eddie gave another smile then walked away gesturing for Richie to follow. Eddie noticed Richie didn't say much, but they just met so he was probably just nervous. He could tell Richie was stopping himself from talking sometimes.

It was now lunch and Eddie was sat with his friends, Beverly and Ben were both teasing Bill and Stanley about liking each other, of course they would both deny it but Eddie noticed the slight blush on both their cheeks. Mike was rambling on about his last class and how boring it was but again Eddie became distracted, and yet again his friends noticed. "Eddie? Hello?! Wake up!" Mike snapped his fingers at Eddie and he jumped back into reality "huh?" Mike looked back to where Eddie was staring "what on earth are you looking at?" By this point the rest of the losers had listened in. Beverly looked back and saw Richie "He's to distracted because he's busy admiring the new kid" Beverly chuckled "no I don't! Shut up bev!" Eddie said whilst going red. The rest of the losers silently agreed with Beverly. Richie smiled to Eddie as he noticed him looking over then he awkwardly walked over to the table "is it okay if i sit with you?... I don't know anyone.." Eddie took a minute as he admired the boys features but then as he realised he was basically starring, he moved up and gestured for Richie to sit beside him. Richie didn't speak much but when he did he seemed cool. The bell rang to signify the end of lunch and the loosers all went their seperate ways, except from Eddie and Richie as Eddie was his tour gide of course. As they got to the class Eddie turned to face Richie, "so, i was going to take a walk after school and i was wondering if maybe you wanted to come? you know because your new! and i can show you around...obviously its okay if you dont want to" 
fuck...why am i so nervious? Eddie thought to himself as he looked up into Richies amazing brown eyes.

Yeah, that sounds really good" Richie replied with a smile, he was happy to have someone to hang around with, even if it was just Eddie being nice until Richie settled in."okay, ill meet you by the cerfew sign" Eddie gave Richie a large smile then headed to class.
