tylers been going to school, except he felt different. he didn't feel the rush of excitement like he did before. it felt like his life had been drained from him and he'd never get it back.

like today, he walked into the cafeteria, hanging his head low for no one to notice him. he rushed towards the table in the back of the room. the one he sat at before. it wasn't always like this. tyler couldn't help but remember the days he felt so adrenalized to come to school and see josh. to tell him about his day or just be engulfed in his warm embrace. it wasn't like that now.

now, he felt the same way he did before. alone and quiet. no one to talk to, except his own mind which wasn't the greatest idea.

so that's what he did, he sat alone at the same exact table with the same exact view. though tylers head was down the whole lunch break so he wouldn't have to see anyone. he didn't want to, he didn't even want to be here.

tyler stared at his lap playing with the sleeves of his hoodie. even though the cafeteria was filled with chattering teenagers, tylers world was silent. he didn't hear anything but silence, he didn't feel anything but emptiness.

was this how it was supposed to be all along? for tyler to fall in love to then be shut down automatically? because that's how it was now.

tyler lifted his head with the sound of the bell. he couldn't help but glance directly over at the table the bright haired boy sat at. he watched as josh got up slowly, almost careless if he bumped in to anyone or anything. almost like tyler. he watched a little more as josh stumbled around the cafeteria, shifting his eyes around. tyler became nervous when he knew josh was looking for him.

tyler gulped slowly, staring directly at the yellow haired boy. when josh finally skimmed the whole room, he met his eyes with tyler. panic began to rise in the small body of tylers as he shuffled to his feet, grabbing his backpack and all. his heart beat rapidly as he prayed to god josh wasn't following him.

he ran out the cafeteria doors and through the flooded hallway. it wasn't until he bumped into a blonde haired girl, that he lifted his head to say sorry, but those were the words that came out.

"fuck, i always run into people.." he mumbled under his breath, leaving the girl in utter confusion. he stumbled down more of the hallway until he came across his class. he rushed in before josh even had the chance to speak to him.
