It was a busy bus stop in P city. A handsome man was waiting for someone for almost half an hour. He was busy in his phone, perhaps sending messages. He was trying to call someone in some interval but could not reach that person. There was a slight annoyance in his handsome face. With time he became somewhat irritated. He put his phone in his pocket and took out a handkerchief to clean his glasses.

Two middle aged ladies were crossing the road. One of them had some problem in walking, so her companion was helping her to walk. But there speed was slow. Suddenly a biker came in high speed from nowhere and ride past the ladies. As the ladies could not move fast the bike touched them slightly and as a result they fall down. The handsome man stepped forward to help them. He helped them to walk to the bench.

He said, "my name is Shen Wei. I am a doctor. Let me check your injuries."

The ladies agreed and Shen Wei confirmed that their wounds are only superficial. He cleaned the blood, applied medicine and bandaged the wounded areas. There are strict regulations about disposing clinic waste in this country. As a responsible citizen Shen Wei did not throw those bloody cottons and other wastes in the open garbage bin. He decided to throw those things properly and put them in a transparent plastic packet in his bag.

His phone rang in his pocket. The person he was calling for long finally got time to call him back.

He received the call angrily.

"You finally got time to call me. When are you coming?"

"..."

"What are you saying? My interview is in half an hour."

"..."

"You know that I know nothing about this place."

"..."

"Then I am not going for the interview. I will return to R city tomorrow."

"..."

"Okay, fine!"

"..."

"Court road?"

"..."

"Then right turn. Okay."

"..."

"MVM school."

"..."

"Left turn."

"..."

"Okay"

"..."

"Okay, bye. I have to hurry now."

Shen Wei looked for taxi and just then an empty taxi came over. He asked, "will you go to NMCH, the new medical college?"

"I don't know where it is."

"It's on the court road, near MVM school."

"Are you alone? I need more passengers."

"I can book the whole taxi."

"Okay, get up."

Those injured ladies came forward and asked the taxi driver, "brother, are you going to court road?"

"Yes, I am. But the taxi is booked by him," the taxi driver replied.

The elderly lady asked to Shen Wei, "if you don't mind can we ride with you? We are in a hurry."

"Okay, no problem."

They started their journey and Shen Wei saw the sign indicating that they are on court road. The driver said, "brother, you should tell me where to turn, I generally don't come to this road."

"Okay, I will tell you where to take turn."

In less than ten minutes they reach the Court of P city. The ladies asked to stop there. The taxi driver had not sufficient change of money, so Shen Wei opened his bag to take out changes. In the mean while the taxi driver asked them, "why are you going to the court?"

One lady replied, "she is in parole for her health conditions, and have to visit the court weekly."

"In parole? What did she do?"

"She is an accused in a murder case."

Shen Wei hand over the change and the ladies walked over. The driver started driving and looked in the mirror and said, "I did not expect that lady could be a murderer, how horrible."

Shen Wei was closing his bag, The driver saw the bloodied cottons in the opened bag before Shen Wei could close his bag. He panicked and say, "blood! Are you injured by them? Or are you a murderer too?"

Shen Wei said, "relax, I am a doctor. These are some cottons used in dressing. I will properly dispose them. Now hurry, I have an interview."

They already crossed a intersection before Shen Wei could notice it.

"Tell me where to take turn," the driver asked.

"Take a right turn in the next intersection."

The driver did what he was said to and continued to drive forward. But there were no trace of MVM school even after a few minutes.

The driver asked, "how long do we have to go?"

"It should be around here."

"Check the location."

"Yes, let me check. You drive forward and look for MVM school."

Shen Wei started checking the map and found that they were long away from P city, MVM school was way behind them. He was going to say something but the taxi stopped abruptly.

Shen Wei asked, "what happened?"

"Let me see," said the driver and went down. Shen Wei also got down. The car's engine stopped working.

The driver asked, "it will take one hour to cool down. How far is your destination?"

"We crossed that without noticing. We have to find another taxi to go there. Take your fare money."

"It's okay. I failed to take you to your destination."

Shen Wei gave money to the driver who said, "there are no taxis in the view, and there are no human habitation too. What should we do?"

Shen Wei called someone, "Ma'am, I am sorry. I cannot reach for the interview today due to some mishap on the way."

"Thank you ma'am. I will meet you tomorrow without any fail."

"Thank you very much ma'am."

He cut the call and asked to the driver, "how are you going to fix your vehicle?"

"I will do it myself after it cools down."

"Will you then return to P city?"

"Yes."

"Then I will wait for you and go back with you."

"I could not earn much today. I should not come this way."

"Don't worry, I will pay you for the whole day."

They noticed that three old man were coming out from the jungle talking and laughing in themselves. As they come near, one of the old man asked, "what happened son?"

The driver said, "my taxi broke down, so we are waiting for the engine to cool down."

"There is a small temple ahead in the jungle and a very small market. We are going to have some tea, you can come and take rest there," another old man said.

Shen Wei and the taxi driver followed them. The taxi driver enquired about few things on their way. There were very few people there. They all have tea and Shen Wei ate some snacks as he was a little hungry. He waited in the steps of the temple as the taxi driver went to check his vehicle. All the people there were good in nature, they asked Shen Wei if he needed anything. After some time Shen Wei decided to check if the taxi was fixed or not.

As he got up and walked towards the taxi, taxi driver came from that side with a sad face. He said, "I could not repair it. What should we do now?"

"Call a mechanic," Shen Wei said.

"I called, they say that they would come tomorrow morning."

"Let me call my partner then. He was busy today, that's why I had to hire a taxi. Let me check if he is free now. He can bring a mechanic too."

"No need for the mechanic, I already booked one. I would wait for him till tomorrow. You ask your partner to come and take you as early as possible. It's getting dark."

"Yes, yes," said a man.

Shen Wei called his partner Zhao Yunlan and described the situation and got some scolding from him for his carelessness.

"How can you get lost in a small city like P city?"

"Oh! I am sorry. Don't be angry. Please come and take me home."

"Where are you?"

Someone put a cup of tea in front of Shen Wei and someone rang the temple bell.

"I am at a small temple outside the city. People here are taking good care of me. They are really nice."

"Send me your location."

"Yes, I am sending."

Shen Wei was going to cut the call, but something caught his eyes at that moment. He added, "and listen, Yunlan, don't bring your bike please. I am tired and want to sleep. Bring your Ferrari but leave your annoying driver home."

"Ferrari?"

"Yes, Ferrari. And come quickly."

Before Zhao Yunlan could say anything more Shen Wei cut the call and send his location.

Actually he did not need to send his location to Zhao Yunlan as his location was always in a sharing with Zhao Yunlan. When he mentioned Zhao Yunlan as his partner, people thought that he was a business partner of him. But in reality, they are life partners. They could not legally marry each other and the term 'boyfriend' could not describe their commitment to each other. So they refer each other as partners. It save them from the hateful eyes of some people who are allergic to same sex relationships.

Zhao Yunlan was a police officer and he was transferred to P city from R city a couple of month ago. Shen Wei is a doctor who has a clinic in R city. P city had established a medical college recently and accepting few guest teachers for the time being. Shen Wei came to P city as his mentor, who is now a professor at the new medical college in P city called him to join the medical college as a guest teacher. She knew about Shen Wei's relationship with Zhao Yunlan.

Shen Wei did not know anything about P city, but last night he heard from Zhao Yunlan that police was investigating about some missing adults. Many young people were missing in last few months. The strange thing was that two or three friends went missing every time who went to that same missing point separately. And every time the missing point was different. There were no call for ransom from kidnappers, no dead bodies. Only a call from one missing person to another, before the phones turned off.

Zhao Yunlan was a little angry when Shen Wei told him that he lost his way and could not reach the medical college. But he already started walking towards his bike to get Shen Wei. But he stopped on his track as soon as Shen Wei said, "Yunlan, don't bring your bike please. I am tired and want to sleep. Bring your Ferrari but leave your annoying driver home."

He did not have any Ferrari, actually he did not have any car at all. And why should he have a driver? Zhao Yunlan returned to his office and within half an hour police circled the location where Shen Wei was located.

After calling Zhao Yunlan, Shen Wei put his phone in his pocket and took the tea cup in his hand. Then he said slowly, "it will take him at least half an hour to reach here I guess. I can worship the goddess in the meantime. What do you think auntie?"

The old woman, who gave the tea, said, "that's a good idea. Finish your tea first."

"No auntie, I already drank too much tea today. It will be difficult to sleep later. Let's go worship first."

One man got angry but before he could do anything an elder held him back. They all signalled each other with their eyes and the old lady said, "let's go. We should worship the goddess as much as possible."

Everyone entered the temple and only two people left outside. Shen Wei left his bag outside the temple. Inside the temple they started worshiping with heavy music. They were all happy as they were going to have a Ferrari soon. During the worship, Shen Wei checked Zhao Yunlan's location, he was near. He ignite some incense sticks which he bought from the shop outside and sat in meditation. Others were dancing and chanting so they inhaled the gas more and gradually lost their strength. The two men outside opened Shen Wei's bag and drowsiness captured them. When police reach to the temple after capturing the guards everyone except Shen Wei was unconscious.

But as soon as Zhao Yunlan came to him, Shen Wei hugged him and said, "I can't stay awake anymore. Where is your Ferrari?"

"Should I take you to any doctor?"

"No need, just take me home. I have to go for the interview tomorrow."

Zhao Yunlan took Shen Wei in his arms and brought him to a police jeep. After every kidnapper had been checked and put in a van they went towards the police station.

Zhao Yunlan went home with Shen Wei, who was still sleeping. He put him on bed and took out the phone from his pocket. He looked at Shen Wei's beautiful face for a long time before sleep took control over him. When he woke up in the morning, he was still holding Shen Wei's hand. He kissed Shen Wei's hands. Shen Wei wriggled in the bed with closed eyes and said, "five minutes more."

A smile flashed on Zhao Yunlan's face. He cupped Shen Wei's face and shook it vigorously. But as Shen Wei started complaining he blocked his mouth with his own. All the sleepiness vanished from Shen Wei. He hooked his hands around Zhao Yunlan's neck and dragged him towards himself. They started fighting for dominance with locked lips. The fight ended up in a draw.

Zhao Yunlan said while panting, "I am sorry baby."

"For what?"

"I could not take you for the interview yesterday. There was an urgent meeting."

"Interview! What time is it?"

Zhao Yunlan checked and said, "it's eight-thirty."

"I have to hurry. I can't miss the interview today." Shen Wei got up quickly.

"When it is?" Zhao Yunlan asked.

"Ten o'clock." Shen Wei ran towards the washroom.

"Okay, you get ready. I will take you there. Then you have to go to the police station with me."

"Inspector, I am totally innocent. I did not do anything wrong." Shen Wei stopped in his tracks.

"But there were evidence of your crime."

"What evidence?"

"Blood stained cottons and other suspicious materials."

"I can explain."

"Explain it in police station after your interview."

"Yunlan! Save me, please."

"I will save you only if you behave properly. Now don't waste time."

Shen Wei entered the washroom with a pouting face. Zhao Yunlan chuckled and went to make breakfast. Seeing Shen Wei energetic again, he finally got relieved. He would definitely make sure to catch the whole gang of kidnappers.
