Spots POV

It was a normal day in Brooklyn that was until she showed up, Y/N was a newsies but she wasn't like other newsies. She could fight and she is the only girl newsies in Brooklyn. She stays in the lodging house but I feel like she is hiding a secret she is not telling anyone. She may be tough but she doesn't hid her feelings well, everyone can see if she is sad and angry. Y/N is kinda scary when she is angry because she can pack a punch.

"What are you thinking about Conlon's?" Y/N voice snapped me out of my throughts

"Nothing " I told her

"Sure, well i'm going out" She said while getting up

"Not so fast. It is almost midnight." I told her

"Don't act like you care Spot. We all know I can take care of myself" She said "Besides what could go wrong"

And with that Y/N ran into the darkness of Brooklyn.

Y/N POV

I was running home to see my brother, I can't go and see him during the day because of him in a huge fight with Harlem. I ran into Manhattan and to the newsies lodging house, once I got inside I ran into Romeo's arms.

"Kiddo, now's not a good time for you to be here. Harlem has newsies and if they saw you are gonna get hurt. You need to back to Brooklyn NOW" Romeo said

"But I never get to see you. You keep me away and it makes me feel like you don't like me" I spat

"You knows that not true, I just need you safe" Romeo said

"UGH, you don't understand do you? I don't care that I'm in danger I just to be with my big brother again. I hate being in Brooklyn, every single day is a fight. I don't wanna be known as Spot's goil just because I live in the same place as him. " I yelled starting to get mad

"Well you are going back. I'm not having my baby sister get killed because she's being stupid. Your a child Y/N, me and the guys can't protect you at all times that why I sent you to Brooklyn in the first place." Romeo yelled

"Then don't exept to see me anytime soon. I'm done" I yelled while running

I ran all the way to Brooklyn, once I got into Brooklyn I wiped all my tears and waked into the lodging house, well me trying to hide my pain soon failed because I as soon as I got to my bed I broke down in full tears. I stayed like that till I felt someone pull me into there arms.

"No! Let go of me" I yelled while kicking

"Calm down princess" it was Spot "what's wrong?"

"Nothing" I sobbed

"It is definitely something if you are crying. Now who hurt your princess?" Spot asked

"My brother lives in Manhattan and he yelled at me because I want to go see him. I'm done" I cried onto spots chest.

I felt Spot move me so that I was on his lap. I could feel all eyes on me as I cried. Spot seemed to notice that too.

"Clear out. NOW" Spot yelled

All the boys left the room leaving me alone with Spot. Spot tried to calm me down by playing with my hair. I soon calmed down in Spots arms.

"Hey. No one will hurt you while you are here. You're family and you mean the world to all of us. I promise that while you are living in Brooklyn no one will hurt you." Spot said

"Thank you Spot. You don't understand how much everything means to me. I love all of you so much and I can't lose you guys." I told Spot

Spot smiled and placed a light kiss on my forehead. Life my be rough but I'll glad I have Spot here to help me get through it.
