Japanese Name: 陽炎 明日香
Rōmanji Name: Kagerō Asuka
Aliases: As a hero, Solarflare and as a vigilante, Penumbra.

Nice

Birthday: August 12th
Age: 19
Blood Type: O
Gender: Female
Height: 170 cm
Weight: 56 kg

Great height to weight ratio

Appearance: Kagerō has long, fluffy white-blonde hair, that ends at her waist in curls. Her eyes are a dark amber color with a faint golden corona around the pupil. She has a lean and small frame, with tanned skin and powerful legs. She has black rings like tattoos on her ankles and wrists - when she overuses her quirk, the black rings will start to grow in size and turn more of her skin pitch black. Finally, she has multiple scars: one across her mouth, a few across her fingers and two large ones across her back in a huge X.

A very interesting appearance and the detail is great.

Likes: Mochi, fruit, heavy metal, sunbathing, trivia, haiku, cats, really bad puns, hot springs and incense.

Nice

Dislikes: Cold rainy weather, strobe lights, coffee, Winter, math, brutality, “fake” heros and shopping.

Cool

Status: Alive

Cool

Occupation(s): Past provisional hero, vigilante and waitress
(Past) Education: Yuuei High School in the Department of Heroics
(Past) Classes: 1-A, 2-A and 3-A
Work Study/Internships: She did her work study with a fairly obscure hero with a light manipulation quirk, but for her internship, she landed a spot with Ryukyu’s agency.

Oh nice and like how you added her jobs in the past as well.

Relationships
Mother: Rin Asuka, a cold and distant woman with the quirk Mute, which allows her to dampen and erase soundwaves, leaving people quite literally speechless. But if she uses it too much on one person, it’ll start to damage their throat. Kagerō was often the victim of her mother’s quirk, as she was extremely talkative, which strained their already rocky relationship.

Oh this is intense

Father: Akio Asuka, the rich owner of multiple law firms whose quirk, Human Calculator, allows him to perform large mathematical equations in his head without error. Kagerō despises him and will become uncharastically short-tempered and rude when talking to him. He believes that his daughter is insane for wanting to be a hero and has no qualms about saying it to her face.

Oh so they have a strained relationship to.

Brother: Kenshin Asuka, the eldest child of the Asuka family, a quiet and intelligent young man who inherited his mother’s quirk. Kagerō respects him, but wishes he was more approachable. Kenshin is the only person from her family that Kagerō still talks to.

Oh ok

Brother: Takuma Asuka, the middle child of the Asuka family, a narcissistic and arrogant boy who’s quirk, Shutdown, lets him render people’s minds blank for a short time. Kagerō thinks he’s a lazy snob, Takuma thinks his sister is an airheaded idiot. Needless to say, they often got into arguments as children.

Oh so they are like typical siblings.

Personality: She’s extroverted, eccentric and energetic - at first, most think Kagerō is a ditzy chatterbox - but behind her cheerful demeanor, she’s intelligent, studious and disciplined, with a near insane amount of willpower. She wasn’t top of her class for nothing! A hardworking spirit is very important to her...and one of the few ideals of her perfectionist family she agrees with. She’s often the one to be found encouraging others, cheering them up with jokes or offering to help them out.

Very cool

She also has a strong sense of justice, even if that justice doesn’t exactly line up with the laws all the time. And despite her go-with-the-flow personality, she’s far from a doormat. Sure …It takes a lot to make her truly angry, but when she finally is pushed over the breaking point, she makes it very clear. She’s a force to be reckoned with, considering her quick thinking, stamina and powerful quirk.

Nice and her personality matches her likes and dislikes.

Quirk: Photovoltaic (Emitter Class)

Cool

Kagerō’s quirk is a rare mutation - as it resembles none of her family’s quirks. It also is fairly unstable and takes considerable technique and control to handle it. Here’s how it works:Kagerō absorbs solar energy (as well as normal light energy...although some artificial lights make her queasy, like strobe lights.) like a solar panel. She stockpiles the energy and it begins to break down - turning into concentrated light, heat or even radiation. After absorbing and breaking down the energy into a more stable form, Kagerō can expel and control the energy (which is comparable to electricity or fire). She can form the energy into small structures (orbs, pillars, spikes, etc.), imbue her attacks with it, control how bright, hot or how irradiated the energy is and even manipulate it like how Endeavor and Todoroki control their flames.

Overuse of her quirk will cause Kagerō to suffer from heat exhaustion and also cause her to forcefully expel excess energy through vomiting it out. She can also pass out, become extremely dizzy and suffer intense muscle spasms through over usage.

Kagerō can reach a point where her entire body is turned black by her “rings”, her eyes turn white and orange and blue cracks begin to break through her skin. When this happens, it means she’s exceeded her body’s capacity for photovoltaic energy and can no longer break it down to a safer level. At this point, her quirk becomes almost uncontrollable and she runs the risk of cooking her internal organs or poisoning herself from the energy's excess radiation (which is normally filtered out or expelled safely.)

This quirk is amazing with great draw backs and risks. It makes it better.

(Fun Fact: Kagerō can change the color of the energy she controls! It’s normally a blazing golden-orange color or an electric blue if the energy is extremely hot - but if she focuses and manages to reflect the light correctly as it’s expelled, she can make it any color! It’s technically useless in combat...but it looks super cool and little kids love it.)Hero Costume: Kagerō’s hero costume is composed of a sleek off-white temperature regulating jumpsuit that plunges at her neck, and slightly exposes her shoulders. It ends at her ankles and at her shoulders as well, with black fabric lining the ends. She has an orange visor across her eyes that is fairly triangular, has a mouthpiece for communication and reflects intense glare. She has black boots with orange buttons and orange “swirls” coming off the sides of her boots. Finally, she has golden fabric support belt and a golden accented pair of off-white fingerless gloves that go up to half of her forearms.

Nice and with the weaknesses comes these treat strengths.

Vigilante Costume: Her costume is composed of a plain and slightly baggy black jumpsuit that ends at the ankles and a little below the shoulder. Around her waist there’s a black support belt that has two knives on the side. It also has pouches with first aid supplies, stickers for little kids she rescues and energy chews. She has off-white bandage like wraps around her forearms that behave like Eraserhead’s capture scarf, but with less strength and a different composition that resists high intensity heat. She has black fingerless gloves with red-orange to golden stripes at the wrists. She also has tall military grade boots with steel heels and toes. She has a off-white beige mask that covers her face, with black eyes and eerie smile painted on. In the mask is a small, low-grade voice changer that makes her voice unrecognizable. Finally, she wears a black wig with off-white highlights at the top and candy-apple green contacts in case her mask is ripped off to help hide her identity.

This is really good cause the identity of a hero is their most prize possession. Once the villain know who they are they attack the people they care about.

Past: Kagerō was a huge hero fanatic even at a young age - and she always dreamed of becoming one - despite the attempts of her parent’s to set her on a “more sensible path in life.” She was bullied by her brother and other kids for a short time, as she was considered quirkless. Her quirk developed on her seventh birthday. Seeing how powerful her quirk was and how having a hero in the family could improve the Asuka’s image, her parents finally allowed her to follow her dreams of becoming a hero. Kagerō threw herself into studying and training, ecstatic that she was finally pleasing her parents and getting to become a hero. She started to gain control over her wayward quirk and she passed both the written exam for UA and the practical with flying colors. She was accepted into 1-A and for the next three years, Kagerō chased her dreams with a wild passion, constantly working to improve herself and her quirk so she could help others.

But everything changed when she started to become painfully aware of her family’s coldness...and when she witnessed one of the heros she was interning for letting a woman die, claiming that “there was nothing they could do” when they didn’t even attempt to save her, fearing “bad publicity.” Kagerō began to realize all the corruption in heroic society - heros abusing others, heros only working for wealth, heros not even caring about the people they saved, just the image it gave them. She slowly began to break down, becoming angrier and angrier before she finally snapped and dropped out of UA in her third year. Disillusioned and despairing, she ran away from her family and began to work at a restaurant. Soon, after her employer (an ex-villain turned restaurateur) suggested she take on vigilante work, she assumed the vigilante name of Penumbra and began to serve not just ramen noodles, but justice on the darkest of streets. She continued her vigilante work, until she met Izuku Midoryia, who begged her to mentor him after he learned she’d attended UA, his dream school. Unsure, but hopeful, she took him on, teaching him how to make up for his lack of a quirk in exchange for his mother’s cooking. She still teaches him, even after All Might passed down OFA to him and even though he attends UA. Despite their differences, the two remain extremely close, Kagerō considering Izuku her little brother (and she takes her older sister role seriously: protecting Izuku, helping with homework and even threatening to “have a talk” to Bakugou - although Izuku always refuses.) and Izuku letting Kagerō stay at his house. Kagerō still engages in vigilante work, with Izuku as her masked sidekick, but she dreams of becoming a hero again and often tries to discourage Izuku from working with her.

She has a great past and her relationship with the canon character are good as well.

Trivia:

Kagerō’s favorite hero as a little kid was Present Mic, as she thought his quirk was super cool (and also because her parent’s saw him as a loud mence.) As she grew up, she started to like other heros more, but she still was super psyched when she found out she’d have him as a teacher at UA.

Kagerō often has trouble sitting still and will often fidget, bounce her leg or tap her fingers across her desks or other objects. Despite her seeming distracted or even bored when she does this, she’s actually laser-focused! If she sits still, that’s when she gets sidetracked.

Her favorite food is mochi, although hot soba is a close second.

Kagerō once looked up to Endeavor, as she found their quirks quite similar, but once she started to find out more about him and actually interacted with him...she lost her admiration.

This is amazing trivia

(Sorry it's a lot! I just wanted to get enough information in.)
