Until It Was Gone

Xephos' whole body was wracked with pain. Small movements hurt him. He had been thrown into the cell shortly after Israphel had finished with him, and had passed out. He remembered hearing a females voice scream his name before he slipped out of consciousness. He hadn't had time to process it though.

Xephos opened his eyes to the darkness that enveloped him. He couldn't see anything, his normally glowing blue eyes, were now dim from the pain. His breathing sped up, his ever-growing fear of the dark making him panic.

'Xephos?' A small voice came from across the room. Xephos was in too much pain to reply with anything over than a groan. 'Xephos! You're awake!' The voice came closer, as they scampered across the cell to his side. 'It's me! Daisy!' The voice introduced, Xephos' eyes widened.

'D-Daisy?' He stuttered. She quickly shushed him, seeing the pain in his eyes.

'Oh Notch! How much did he hurt you? I heard you screaming...' Daisy looked worried, and Xephos could do nothing to help comfort her.

'I-I'm s-sorry w-we d-didn't r-rescue y-you s-sooner.' Xephos attempted at speech. Daisy shook her head, and smiled grimly.

'Its fine Xephos. Don't worry about it. Just tell me where it hurts the most so I can help bandage you up.' Her voice goes quieter, as if she was trying to hide the fact she was helping him.

'M-mainly m-my c-chest a-and...' Xephos screamed out in pain. He curled tightly into a ball, clutching his chest.

'Xephos!' Daisy exclaimed. The spaceman was fighting against the fiery pain. 'Here. Let me help you.' She gently pushed him onto his back and ripped off his shirt. Undernearth the shirt was a puncture wound in the middle of his chest. Daisy wondered how he was still alive.

'D-Daisy. I-if I-I d-die. T-tell H-honeydew t-that h-he w-was t-the b-best d-dwarf I-I k-knew.' Xephos stammered, his face and voice constricted in pain.

'Oh poor Xephossssssss. You really think I've finisssssshed with you?' A new voice, Israphel's echoed through the cell.

'Leave him alone! He's injured enough already!' Daisy cried.

'I will do what I like. Unlessss you want to relive what happened lassssst time you dissssobeyed me.' Israphel cackled, Daisy paled at the memory. 'Thought ssssssso. Guardsssss, get him.' Israphel commanded. Two pigmen guards entered the cell, one grabbing Xephos and dragging him out by his leg, the other kept a tight grip on Daisy's arm to stop her from escaping, or chasing after Xephos. 'Ah little Ssssssspaceman. You're going to wissssssh you were never born!' Israphel hissed. 'And with your little dwarfven friend watching in hisssss dreamsssss, I can torture both of you!' Israphel cackled, as Xephos struggled in the grasp on the guard.

The pigmen got tired of Xephos' sturggling and dropped him to the floor. He landed with a hard impact. But what worried him more, was seeing the hilt of their golden blades slam into his forehead, and the world slowly going darker and darker.

Until it was gone.
