Chapter 11

Lockdown.

They're bringing me into lockdown.

That's what they called it. I'd call it 'we're taking away your freedom and keeping you prisoner.'

Mere moments ago, Aizawa dragged me here along with Mirio and Eri. Nezu, Midnight, and a few other teachers were waiting there for me and went absolutely nuts on me.

"How could you sneak out like that y/n!" Midnight raises her voice.

"And get drunk! In Tokyo it's a serious crime to drink as a minor!" Nezu points out.
"Well blame the person who gave it to me-" I'm cut off.

"You're in serious danger y/n! We're trying to help you! Don't you see that?!" Another teacher chimes in.

This conversation continues on. Again they call it a 'talk', I'd call it a 'lecture'.

That's when I stormed out.

My annoyance was at a brink. I felt very hungover and my patience was at zero.

I run down the stairs and make it pretty far. Relief washing over me the further from the office I get. I hear a pair of shoes quickly squeaking the floor behind me. Approaching.

A muscular hand grabs my arm, "Y/n."

I turn to see Mirio.

He readjusts his arms to hover my shoulders. He's in pep talk mode. I can tell.

"Y/n, I understand you must be angry. That's totally fair. I know it must be hard to hear that you'll be going into a quarantine. You must be scared, but you should remember the teachers are trying to help."

My anger slowly subsides the longer I listen.

"Do you want to go back to the office? Or I could summarize what their plan is for you? Whatever you want," Mirio continues to calm me down.

"I don't want to go back to the office," I state firmly. The last thing I want is to be in the same room with Nezu.

"Okay," He nods. "I'll go back and get Eri then. We could all grab lunch in the cafeteria together. How does that sound?"

I nod smiling.

"Okay great," He gives me a thumbs up before running back up the stairs. In the direction of the office.

I wait for ten-ish minutes before I see Mirio and Eri come into view.

We all head to the cafeteria together. I'm guessing while Mirio was there he told the teachers the new plan.

After grabbing lunch from Lunch Rush we sat down at a table.

Mirio begins to make ideal chit chat with Eri. He asks her what she wants to be when she's older. Like any other kid here, she replies enthusiastically, 'Hero!'

Mirio turns to me, "What about you y/n?"

"What?" I poke at my food.

"What do you want to be? Y'know once you've graduated?"

"I don't know. Haven't given it much thought," I shrug.

His eyes widen and his mouth hangs open, "You don't know what you want to be?!"

I take a bite out of my food, "Yeah, what's so crazy about that?"

He remembers that I'm not from this world, "Nothing."

I hum. Eri interrupts telling us what her hero name would be.

Mirio eventually tells me what the teacher's plan is for me. When he said it to me, it seemed more reasonable. They're planning on not letting me leave UA campus without a hero or one of the hero class students accompanying me. I also need permission to leave. So I'm not a complete prisoner. At least not yet. Also they plan for me to sleep in a dorm with someone else. Basically I have to be someone's roommate. And that's it so far.

I do wonder though. Why are they going through so much trouble for me? What are they gaining from this?

My thoughts are interrupted by Eri.

"Who's dorm are you going to stay in y/n?" she asks me.

"I'm not sure," I awkwardly scratch my arm.

"You can stay with me," Mirio offers. "Or I'm sure Nejire would let you stay with her too."

I blush at his offer, "Thank you Mirio, but I can't stay with you. I'm going to room with a girl."

His hands go up to his chest, "Sorry didn't think of that."

"I don't think I'd stay with Nejire either. She's older and I've never met her. I'll try to ask some of the 1A girls. See if any of them can take me in."

He nods understandingly.

We finish lunch. I head back to the 1A dorms and wait for the class to finish their classes. I sit in my old dorm. Similar to when I first arrived here. Only now I won't be in this room anymore.

Once I hear the lively chatter flow through the building I know they're back.

I head downstairs and approach the girls.

"Hey y/n!" Denki greets me. I wave at him.

I turn my attention to the girls, "I have something to ask you guys."

The boys watch as I seem to ignore them.

"What is it?" Yaoyorozu asks.

My hand rubs my neck, "The teachers talked to me about my new situation. Y'know since yesterday." I glance at Kirishima, Midoriya, Todoroki and Uraraka. They all saw me last night.

"Right, didn't you get kidnapped?" Jiro questions.

I nod, "Yes. So now the teachers are taking precautions. I have to sleep in someone else's dorm now. Any of you want a roomie?" I ask hesitantly.

"You can sleep in my dorm!" Denki jokingly interrupts. He nudges my shoulder. A couple of laughs from the boys sound. Although none from Bakugo or Todoroki.

"I'm talking to the girls," I grin. Scoffing at Denki's antics.

"You can stay in my dorm," Yaoyorozu offers.

"Really? Thank you Yaoyorozu! I seriously owe you one!" I exclaim.

She giggles, "You're welcome."

"That sorta works since Momo has that ginormous bed," Asui points out.

The girls laugh.

Moving all my things into Yaoyorozu's room took one trip. I have next to no belongings so that came in very handy.

I got ready for bed. Asui was not kidding when she said Yaoyorozu's bed was ginormous. It almost takes up the whole room! I lay on one side of the bed.

"It's kinda fun having a roommate," Yaoyorozu crawls onto her side of the bed. "It's like a never ending sleepover."

"Yeah," I nod smiling. "I can't thank you enough for letting me stay with you. I didn't want to stay with any of the boys, or worse, a teacher."

She laughs, "You're welcome. Staying with any of the boys would be torture."

I nod.

The conversation between us slows and we both drift off to sleep.

———————————

The next morning I wake up to Yaoyorozu's second alarm. I look over to her side. She's already awake. I get out of bed and turn off the back-up alarm. Surprised I didn't wake up to the first.

I change into my uniform and head out her dorm. When I enter the hallway I see Todoroki leaving at the same time. That reminds me. Todoroki let me stay in his dorm... I forgot about that. My ears turn slightly pink. Quickly I cover my hair over them.

Todoroki meets my eyes, "Oh, good morning y/n."

"Morning Todoroki."

Before he can start a conversation Satou walks out of his dorm. We both say good morning too. We all head to the elevator. I grab some breakfast in the common area.

Saying goodbye to the 1A class I leave the dorms to the main building. I reach my class and sit beside Shinso. He looks at me surprised.

"Hey y/n."

"Hey," I put my bag down, going through my papers.

"Where have you been? You haven't shown up to school in awhile."

I place my papers on my desk, "I got kidnapped."

"Huh?" I feel his eyes bore into me.

"I got kidnapped," I look at him.

"How can you say that so casually?!" He bursts out. A few classmates look at us. He quiets down again, "So let me get this straight. You haven't been in school because you got kidnapped."

"Yes."

"Well, please, do continue," he sarcastically replies.

I roll my eyes playfully, "I don't want to talk about it. All that matters is I'm safe and it won't happen again." It's true I don't want to talk about it, but the rest of it is bending the truth.

He nods, dropping the subject seeing how our teacher entered the room. The class continues as normal. I stay in the class at lunch finishing a test that I missed. The teacher hands me the rest of the work I missed afterwards.

The day comes to a close.
