A strong wind blows making them shiver.

"We should go back.",manik said her in a whisper.

"It feels nice here.", nandini says in return.

"U know, Its time u should confess ur undying love for me.",manik said looking at her.

"Huh?",she said meeting his eyes in confusion.

He smiles at her and nods in no.

"Let's go",he says breaking the hug.

"How did u come here?",manik asked walking slowly with her.

"I walked down the street.", nandini tells him.

"Alone?",he asks her again.

She nods at him.

"U always manage to do things that make me angry. U aren't walking alone down the street at this time again ever.",manik said making a strict face.

"Well now that i have someone to walk with me. I won't.", nandini tells him with a smile.

A smile escapes his lips at the promise she made.

"U can't make it up for me by your sweet talks.",manik tells her smirking in amusement.

She gives him a smile and holds his hand.

He looks at their hands together and then at her in surprise.

"What?, Can't i hold ur hand?, What if i get lost, we can't now take the risk right.", nandini said putting an innocent face.

Manik smiled at her innocent face.

"C'mon let's take u home then.",manik said with a mocking smile holding her hand tightly and giving it a pull.

They were halfway when rain started. By the time they reached home they were completely wet.

"Go and get freshen up, i will make something for us to eat.",manik suggested.

"U will?", nandini asked unsure.

"Yes.",manik said her.

"Lets not take the risk. I am hungry, i will make something for us.",nandini said with a small smirk walking towards the kitchen.

Manik holds her hand.

"Are u trying to say I can't cook. Let me tell u that i cook good and i can make very good pasta. U will be speechless once u eat it.",manik praised himself.

"Okay if u say so than i would love to see it. Let's have pasta for dinner.",she said him and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Why are you going to kitchen?",manik asked following behind.

"To help you. I can make coffee till u make pasta.", nandini said and started taking out things.

He holds her hands and stops her.

"No u are going to ur room and i can help myself.",manik said her pushing her out.

"But...", nandini tried to reason him.

"U are going to ur room and getting changed. I don't want you to have a flowing nose on our engagement. Just think how bad u will look in the photos and i am sure u don't want it. Do u?",manik asked her playfully smirking at her.

She looks at him with her mouth wide open at the question.

"I am going to change. Help yourself.", nandini said him with a glare.

"I will take your answer as a no then.",Manik said with a small laugh.

"Make some food.", nandini said turning back glaring at him before going to her room.

He cut the vegetables and started making the pasta. Alongside he made two cups of coffee.

He arranged the plate and decorated the pasta a little to give it a perfect look.

He poured the coffee in mugs and put it in a tray.

He looked at everything once and muttered perfect.

He looked up for any sign of nandini and sighed.

He moved to get some water and sneezed suddenly.

"Seems like someone else is going to spoil our engagement photos with a running nose.", nandini comments now standing beside him.

"I have a strong immunity.",manik said her with a smirk.

She looks at the coffee mugs.

"I was carving for a cup of coffee. Thanks.", nandini said and picked her coffee and took a sip.

"Ugghh manik, there's no sugar in it.", nandini said putting the mug down.

"I made our coffees together so i kind of forgot.",manik said rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

Nandini smiled at his nervousness.

"I will put some sugar in it.", nandini said and moved to get the container.

She looks at it and finds it empty.

"Its empty, where is the extra sugar.",she asks him.

"I guess in one of those containers.",manik said pointing up at the two big containers.

"U go and get changed and i will get some sugar for me .", nandini said him.

"Do u really think u will reach upto there?",manik asked smirking looking at her height.

"Well even u won't be able to reach there with ur height.", nandini said looking at the place where the container was kept was higher.

Nandini brings the stool from the corner and slowly stood in it.

"U can leave now.", nandini said him with a small smile as she was taller than him now.

"I can't risk you having a broken leg in our engagement.",manik said with a smirk leaning on the counter.

Nandini gives him a playful glare and looks up.

"Which one from the two?",she asked him.

"I guess first or can be second too.",manik said her confused.

"I don't know, u should just check it.",he added looking up at her.

She nodded and opened the container.

She tried tilting it to see but it was hard.

"Its heavy.",nandini said him and tried tilting again with a little more force.

"U are not strong.",manik said slowly.

She heard him and glared at him.

"I am", nandini said him and he stood up to come closer when nandini pulled the container with much force and the container gets completely tilted and all the flour on that container fell on manik who was standing just below it.

Nandini quickly straighten the container and climbs down.

Manik coughs for a couple of times before opening his eyes.

Nandini looks at him from up to down and had a hard time controlling her laugh.

She started laughing loudly and manik glared at her.

He rubbed his hands and tried removing the flour but it got sticky.

"Your dress was still wet, u should have listened to me and went to change. Now deal with it.", nandini said laughing again.

"Well u are responsible for this so why should i alone deal with it?",manik asked her smirking.

"What do u mean?", nandini asks taking a step back.

"Run",manik yelled and both started running around circling in the kitchen.

Nandini was laughing while running.

"U will regret it when i get my hands on u. So run as fast as u can.",manik warned her.

They came out on the living area.

Nandini picked a few cushions and threw at him.

"Nandini",manik said in a warned tone catching the pillow just in time.

Nandini was about to go otherside when manik catch her hands.

"Caught you",he said her with a smirk.

Nandini put up an innocent face.

"Manik",she called out sweetly.

He shakes his head at her act.

"Not working",he said her .

She pushed him and he took a step back at the force but slipped due to the fallen cushion.

He falls back on the sofa and pulls nandini along with him.

Nandini lets out a suprise squeal at this.

Manik was lying on the sofa while nandini was on the top of him.

"Idiot",she muttered and tried getting up.

Manik put his hand across her waist and pulls her back.

She looks at him wide eyed.

"Manikkk let me go.",she said him but he nods in no.

"Finally I caught you. I am not letting you go and u should have thought before pushing me. So now let's talk, what were u laughing at before?",manik asked her smirking.

"Manik i wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing at my carelessness.", nandini said him with a nervous face.

Manik lifts his hands up to move her hairs back from her face.

"Manik don't u dare touch me.", nandini warned him but he puts his hands on her cheek and rubbed it.

"Ugghh.",she said in irritation.

"I had just taken a bath and changed.", nandini said him irritated.

"U should have thought that before",he said her with a smile.

The door opened all of a sudden and they turned their head in surprise.

Cabir was standing there talking on his phone when his eyes widen looking both of them in the sofa lying on each other with manik hands on nandini cheek and waist.

Manik and nandini shared a horrified look then turn back to cabir.

Cabir composed himself and coughs for a few times.

"I didn't expect that.",cabir said to both of them still suprised.

"Bhai it's nothing like it looks. I promise.",nandini said nervously to him.

She turns to manik.

"Let me go.",she said him in a whisper with a glare.

Manik smiles at her and nods in no.

"U can't be serious, bhai is here. Leave me.", nandini said trying to push him.

Manik tightens his hold and nods in no again.

"Cabir do u have something to say?",manik asks him with a playful smile.

"Nah, nothing.",cabir said shaking his head in no.

"I just had some work so i came back early. I will go to my room u guys continue whatever u were doing.",cabir said with a teasing smile.

"Bhai its not like that, it was an accident. U are getting it wrong.",nandini said him trying to get up but end up falling on him.

"It doesn't look like that to me.",cabir said to her glancing at their position.

Nandini blushed deep red at that.

Cabir was walking upstairs when he stopped.

"Well a advice , everyone will return soon. So continue ur date in ur room or backyard.",cabir suggested them with a smirk.

"And manik nice makeup and date plan. Good job.",cabir said him and smiled at him before going away.

"Thanks buddy.",manik shouted for him to hear.

"That was so embarrasing. I just feel to go hide my face somewhere.", nandini said blushing in embarrassment.

"Really?",manik asked her.

"It is all because of u, what would be bhai thinking of us.?",nandini said to him blushing at the thought of it.

"Do u want me to say his thoughts aloud?",manik asked her teasingly.

"Godd nooo. U are very bad. I don't know how i will face bhai afterwards.",nandini said hiding her face in his neck.

"U have no idea how much embarrassed i am right now. I just wish to go back in the time and lock the gate so that bhai wouldn't have come.",nandini said in a whisper.

"U didn't want cabir to interrupt what we were doing and were about to do.",manik teased her.

She lifted her head up at his words,her face completely red at his double meaning talk.

She slapped his arms and pushed him and got up sitting on the sofa now.

"Idiot",she said hiding her face with her hairs.

Manik let out an laugh at her.

"I will go and get change fast. Get the table ready till then.",manik said her and she nodded.

She arranged the food in the table and manik reached till than wearing a fresh clean clothes.

"Seems like i have to drink it without sugar only.",nandini said him.

"Just a second.",manik said and went to kitchen.

He came back with sugar sachets and gave her.

She glares at him.

"If u had sachets then why didn't u gave it before. Everything could be avoided that happened.", nandini said adding sugar and stirring it.

"I forgot about it.",manik said taking a sip of his coffee.

She takes a bite of pasta and closes her eyes at the yummy taste.

"Its delicious.", nandini said him with a smile.

"I know",manik said her back.

She forwards her hand to take another bite.

Manik holds her hand and take a bite from her spoon.

"Have yours, don't steal mine.",nandini said putting her hands away from him.

Manik moves his hands on her hair and takes out the flour stick on it.

"Seems like u have to take shower again.",manik said with a small laugh.

"All thanks to u.",nandini said sipping her coffee.

He gives her a proud smile.

"Aren't you a little embarrassed about what happened before?", nandini asks him.

Manik nods in no.

"Why should i be?, Infact cabir is also not embarrassed then why are u?",manik asked her.

"What if u were in bhai place and mukti in mine. Would u have the same reaction then too?", nandini asked him.

Manik shrugged.

"Well i would have been surprised but embarrassed no.", manik answered her.

"Have u ever been embarrassed?",nandini asked him.

"Maybe once or twice and that too because of ur brother. He used to create the mess and leave it for me to clear it. U won't believe what he did once.",manik said remembering cabir's act.

"Tell me",nandini said leaning on the table with her palm supporting her cheek.

"Don't tell him i told you.",manik said copying her actions.

She nodded in yes.

"It was our fresher day if i remember well. We were in first year of college. Me, cabir and dhruv. Alya and mukti were junior to us. We all were ready to go for the party in our suits. We were asked to bring a date with us. Alya was going with dhruv and mukti with cabir. We were waiting in my house for dhruv and alya to come.",manik was continuing but nandini stopped him.

"Who was your date?", nandini asked him.

"U are interested in knowing my embarrasing moment or my date.",manik asked her raising an eyebrow.

"I am just curious", nandini defended herself.

"Her name was Rhea if i remember well. ",Manik said her after a little thinking.

Nandini nodded.

"Okay so where was i, yes we were waiting for dhruv when cabir suggested.",manik was saying more but nandini cut him off.

"Wait", nandini stopped him.

"What now?",manik asked her.

"U just said her name. Tell me more.", she said him curious.

Manik studied her expression once before hitting her nose slowly by his index finger.

"Why do u want to know?",manik asked her with a smirk.

"Tell me na.", nandini said him again rubbing her nose.

"She joined college late and we were partners for a project. She was very interesting and we became friends immediately. The freshers were after a week so i asked her for my date.",manik said her.

"Ohh", nandini said him.

"Should i continue or u have some more questions?",manik asked her.

"One last question.", nandini said him.

Manik nodded at her.

"Where is she now?",nandini asked him.

"I think she is in dubai now for a photoshoot. Cabir met her in his business trip and they had a nice tym. Its so long since i met her, i wanted to meet her too but she is busy and me too.",manik said her. Nandini frowns hearing him.

Manik smirked and took his phn out.

"Let me show u her pic. ",Manik said and clicked on a picture.

It was a picture of him side hugging rhea after winning the Mr and Miss Fresher title.

"She is beautiful.", nandini admitted looking at their pic together.

"Wait i will show u her recent pic. She is looking gorgeous now.",manik said her and swipes the pic fastly.

"Wait,who is she?",nandini asked pointing at his and another girl pic.

"She was the best dancer of the college and a very sweet girl. She kept me totally entertained in the concert night.",manik said with a smile.

Nandini changes the pic and found another pic of him and another girl.

She just looks at him once and changes the pic to find a different girl.

"Were u friends with only girls in the college?", nandini asks him changing the pics to see more pics of him with girls.

"No, cabir and dhruv were there na.",manik said her innocently.

"U had mukti and alya too still u were friends with other girls.", nandini said him as a fact.

"They were sweet to me.",manik said in defense.

"U don't like sweetness in anything but u like sweet girls. Great.", nandini said irritated.

"Why are u angry?",manik asked her.

"I am not.",she said him and picked the extra sugar sachets.

She poured coffee in his mug and added the sugar in it.

"Drink this. Its also sweet.",she said him and got up.

"Goodnight",she said to him and left.

"Nandini",he calls for her and sighs when she ignores.

He gives a small smile and then lets out a laugh looking at the pics.

"U were right cabir.",manik said and recalls a memory.

"Manik what are u doing?",cabir asked sitting beside him in his bed.

"Yesterday u took a lot of pics of me after i won the title, with all those girls on their request. So, i am deleting those pics now.",manik said him.

"Don't delete it. Its helpful.",cabir said taking the phone.

"How?",manik asked him.

"When u get the perfect girl for u, show her this pics.",cabir said him.

"And make her think that i am a Playboy or something.",manik asked him.

"No, to make her jealous. If she gets jealous and angry then u will get to know that she too feel something for u and trust me u will be very happy seeing her jealous.",cabir said him.

"What if it backfires?",manik asked him.

"It won't and promise me u won't delete it until u show her.",cabir said him.

"Promise but if it backfires then i will make sure to teach u a nice lesson.",manik said to him.

Manik sips the coffee from his mug and delete all those pics from his phone.
