Next morning..

Manik sees cabir panicking waiting for navya to arrive.

He smiles and walks to him.

"Stop worrying much. Everything will be fine. Chill.",manik said him.

"I don't know man. What if mom asks me why I didn't tell her before. What will I say then? I have known navya for 7 years now and we are dating for more than 4 years. If mom get to know about us dating for so long, she surely will be upset. Manik help me.",cabir said frustrated.

"Ohk now u are over thinking, if any problem arises I will handle it. Don't worry. I need to ask u something important now. Have u decided to tell bull about it now or after u tell aunty?",manik asked him.

"Choti knows we are dating for so long. She don't know the actual reason why I am hiding it from Mom. She thinks it's because I am afraid. I don't know how I will tell her. If I tell her this then I have to tell her everything about our college times and I don't think I will be able to tell her.",cabir said him.

"It's fine u don't have to, I will tell her.",manik said him.

"U will?",cabir asks to be sure.

"Yes I will and now man up and go down. Navya will be here any minute and our parents are already down.",manik said him.

Cabir hugs manik and he pats his back.

Manik gives him a nod and both moves downstairs. At the same time navya enters inside.

Manik signs cabir and he takes a deep breath and nods. He walks up to navya who looks at him afraid. He gives her an encouraging smile and holds her hand.

He brings her with him in front of his parents.

Naina smirks a little while Sameer looked confused.

"I have something to confess.",cabir said taking a deep breath and holding navya's hand tightly.

"Yes?",Sameer asked him.

"Umm... I know u will be surprised and may get angry but it was never my intention to hurt u guys. I am just sorry for not telling it earlier. I just didn't know how to tell it and I was scared and also...",cabir starts blabbering and manik slaps his forehead. Nandini looks at him in confusion.

He just nods in no at her.

"Cabir will u tell it already.",Sameer asked him.

"I... I mean I.. no we... talk..",cabir shuttered and Naina smiles seeing it.

"Cabir, say it clearly.", Naina said him with a smile looking at his hands entwined with navya.

"We are dating.", He said them loudly and there was a complete silence in the hall. Naina smiles but then frowns hearing him again.

Sameer was about to say something but cabir continued.

"For more than four years now.",cabir said him.

The elders looked at both of them surprised.

"For more than four years and u are telling us now.",Naina asked him angry.

"I am sorry.", Cabir said him.

"U showed today how much trust u have on us?",Naina said him sounding upset.

"Mom",cabir said feeling guilty.

Naina looks away.

"Dad?",cabir looks at him for support.

"Cabir we never gave u a reason to not trust us. We were always supportive to u guys and u were all this while lying and hiding things from us. U took four years to finally tell us. U should have just invited us for your wedding. It would have been better.",Sameer tells him calmly but hurt inside.

"Sameer it's okay, they are kids.",Raj said him.

"Naina forgive them. There must be some other reason for not telling u people.",nyonika tells her.

Naina looks at her once before turning to cabir and navya.

Navya looks at cabir before kneeling down in front of Sameer and Naina.

"It was because of me. Cabir wanted to tell u guys the day we got into relationship but I was not ready. He would always tell me that u guys are very supportive and will be happy for us but I was just not sure about it. After a year being in relationship we got into a very big fight due to some misunderstandings and after that I was insecure of every little things. It took me a lot of time to finally start trusting people but I still couldn't not cope up the courage to face u guys. I don't know why but I always felt that u would think that I am not enough for him and he deserves better than me. I always had this fear of rejection and that kept me back from agreeing to tell u guys and cabir respected my decision and didn't tell u. I know how much he trusts u guys and loves u. He would always talk about u guys. I know almost everything about u guys. It was all because of me and my stupid insecurities and fears. Please don't get upset with him.",navya tells them .

"What is my favorite color?", Sameer asks her.

"Huh?",navya asked him confused.

"Favorite color?",he repeated.

"Green",navya said him.

Sameer looks at cabir and he gives a puppy face to Sameer.

"Come here",Sameer tells to navya and makes her sit between him and Naina.

"U were right. I don't think he deserves you. Look at u and look at him. U are so beautiful, how can u like such a duffer. What did u see in him?",Sameer asks side hugging her and others laughed while cabir pouts in annoyance.

"Aunty",navya asked her slowly.

"I want to talk to you. Come with me.",Naina said her standing up and going to the lawn.

Navya looks at Sameer.

"She is trying to be hard on you but is very sweet. Go and talk to her.",he encourages her and she nods and goes behind her.

Cabir looks at navya worried.

Sameer smirks and walks close to cabir.

"And you young boy, how dare you hide it from us for so long?",Sameer asked twisting his ear.

"Sorry dad. I am really sorry.",cabir apologies.

"No. Not so easily. Do sit ups and downs till your mom comes back. That's your punishment.",Sameer tells him.

"But dad..",cabir tried denying.

"Start now if u don't want me to go strict.",Sameer tells him.

Cabir holds his ear and starts doing it. Manik takes out his phone and makes a video.

"Manik delete it now.",cabir shouted at him.

"Never. It would be a treat for all your followers to see.",manik jokes and the elders laugh.

"Choti?",cabir calls for help making a cute face.

"Bull don't fall for his innocent look. It's a trap. U have no idea how many funny embarrassing videos he used to make of students in college and upload it online.",manik tells her and she looks at cabir who gives a small amusing smile to her in return.

It was more than 10 minutes and they had not returned.

Cabir looks at the lawn before turning to manik. Manik nods at him and gets up and goes to the lawn.

He sees navya and Naina talking and walks to them.

"I hope I am not disturbing you guys.",manik said them and Naina turned to him and nodded in no ,while navya gives a relieved smile.

"Manik I expected at least u to tell me before.",Naina tells him.

"I am sorry aunty but it was their decision and I couldn't break the trust they had on me.",manik said her.

"I understand.",Naina said him with a smile.

"But u know what, I can assure you of one thing. My duffer best friend can never get a better girl than navya.",manik said and side hugs navya.

"I have known her for 7 years aunty and she treats me just like a younger brother though I am older than her. I have seen her take care of all of us. She was the biggest support we had in our low times. U won't get a girl like her for cabir ever.", Manik said to Naina and navya looks at him teary eyed, with a smile.

He kissed her forehead and smiles at her.

Naina smiles at both of them.

"When I met navya for the first time, I knew that cabir was hiding something from me. The day before cabir left for Dubai, I knew he was in a relationship with navya. I just kept quiet because I wanted them to tell me on their own. I have seen her all these days and I knew that she is a very nice girl. I am just hurt to know that it took u guys four years to tell us. But now that I have got the answers from u. I think I understand your reasons. Come here.",Naina tells looking at manik and then at navya and gestures her to come close.

She hugs navya who smiles with tears.

"No more tears dear. Now come let's go. Cabir must be very impatient.",Naina said her.

Manik smiles and the trio walks inside to see cabir lying on the ground huffing for air.

"What happened?",Naina asks worried.

"I just punished him a little. Don't worry. Tell me what about you?",Sameer asked her.

Naina smiles at him and he gets his answer.

"I forgive u but if u guys dare to hide again then u are in big trouble.",Naina said looking at cabir.

"Mom, really?",cabir asked standing in front of her.

She nods.

He hugs her tightly and she chuckles.

Nandini smiles at this and looks at manik. He caught her eyes and gestures her to come outside.

He goes out and she follows him.

"What?", nandini asked seeing him stop near the garage.

"I know u have lots of questions in your mind. Let's get out of here. I will tell u everything.",manik tells her.

"Where?",she asks him.

"The pond?",he asks her.
She nodded and he went inside the garage.

He brings out his cycle and she smiles and goes to get mukti's cycle but see it punctured.

Manik shakes his head and gestures her to come with him.

He removes his hand from handle for her to sit in the rod at front.

She raised her eyebrows in question.

"Come.",he said her and she walks close and sits slowly.

Manik smiles and starts cycling.

Cold air hits her face and she smiles and turns to see manik looking at her.

She blushes and looks away.

They soon reached the place and nandini gets down followed by manik.

They get settled in the bridge and nandini waited for him to talk.

"What do u want to know?",he asks her.

"Everything if u want to share.",she answers and he gives a smile to her.

"Where do I start?",he asks her.

"How about you start from bhai's story?", nandini asked him.

"By now u must have known that they were in a relationship for more than 4 years.",manik said her and she nodded.

"And like navya said they had a big fight after a year. Which is 3 years back from now.",manik said but nandini interrupted.

"Manik did something very big happened 3 years back?", nandini asked him.

He nodded.

"One secret, few misunderstanding and lots of fights and it almost destroyed us.",manik said her.

"Is that why u hate when someone hide something from u?", nandini asked him.

"Yes, how did u know?",manik asked her.

"Bhai told me. So are u comfortable sharing now?", nandini asked him.

"I think so. ",He said wrapping his hand around her and pulling her closer.

She keeps her head on his shoulder and waits for him to start.

"It's difficult than I thought it would be. Okay before I tell u everything I need u to know that I am a complete different person now then I was before. So be patient and don't get much upset.",manik said her.

"Have trust on me", nandini said him and he kissed her forehead.

"So u know already that I, dhruv, cabir, mukti and alya know each other from school days. ",Manik asked her and she nodded.

"We we're in class 8 when there was a talent round and we decided to form a band. We all had nothing common in us except one thing. Music. Cabir took the drums, mukti took the electric guitar. Alya as a pianist ,dhruv took the base guitar and me as the lead singer. We won and received a lot of appreciation from people. So we decided to make it official and gave a name to us. Fab5.",manik said and turned to her.

"Why am I not surprised?, I knew that u are a singer hearing u sing that good before, but forming a band is a different thing. Why didn't Bhai tell me about it?",she asked him.

"We all decided to keep it going as it was. Music was always a hobby for us. Making it a career was a big thing and we were doubtful. We didn't want to give false hopes and expectations to our families so we kept it a secret and decided not to tell them and continued playing music alongside our studies. It went for a while like that.Fab5, that's us, were very popular around. We loved pranking students, teachers. Making videos of it. We always stayed together. Fab5 was a big name in college. Our music was very famous and with time it became a part of our life. We met navya and Sara ,when I was 19. They were new to the college. Cabir and mukti planned a prank for them. By the end of the prank, both of them were covered with flour. There clothes had oil stains and they had toilet paper wrapped on themselves. It was lot of fun and we decided to end the prank. Cabir shut his camera and was about to say something to them when navya put water on him from her bottle. Nobody ever got the guts to say anything to us. So when navya did that, it came as a complete surprise for us. We were waiting for him to react furious but he started laughing and put his hand out and introduced himself to navya. It was weird to become friends at that moment but we did and it was the best decision of ours. After that both her and Sara became very good friend of ours.",manik said her with a smile.

"U guys were very bad. I feel bad for bhabhi. If u don't mind me asking, how was Sara like?", nandini asked him nervous.

"She was beautiful inside out. She always had a smile on her face no matter what the situation is. She was a shy girl and was very well behaved. U can say she was perfect. She use to top her exams, was a great model and most importantly she was a very good friend. She was always ready to help everyone. When we became friends, it was quite surprising because we were completely different.",manik said her.

"I don't think so, she sounds just like u.", nandini tells him.

"I wasn't the same person like how I am now. I never cared about anything before. Always did what's on my mind without a second thought. Played lots of pranks, bunked classes, always ready for a challenge and flirted with every girl in the college. ",Manik said and winked at her.

Nandini hits his arm a little and looks at him narrowing her eyes.

"The girls used to hit on me and I couldn't just hurt their feelings by denying them also it was fun.",manik said her.

Nandini shakes her head in disbelief.

"Okay so yeah, days went by and we became very good friends. Music became more important to us as we grew up. Cabir started liking navya along the way. Sara became a very good friend of mine. After cabir, she was the one who use to understand me perfectly. She was the best in giving advises. We never knew how 3 years passed. Navya and cabir got in a relationship. We all were very happy, we had everything we wanted and then came the event which turned our life upside down.",manik said her and gave a small smile 

"Manik, were u in love with her?", nandini asked him nervous looking down.

"I loved her but I wasn't in love with her.",manik tells her honestly.

"What do u mean?, Isn't it the same thing?", nandini asked him confused.

"Umm.. no. Its like.. u love chocolates. But u aren't in love with chocolate same way I loved her like I loved music like I loved all my friends but I never fell in love with her. Yeah we use to hang around, have fun together, were very comfortable with each other but I never had those feelings for her. I won't say she was like any other friend to me because she wasn't and neither was she my best friend because that was alya. She was different than others and special to me.",manik said her and nandini gives a smile to him.

"Did she felt the same way for u?", nandini asked him.

"I thought so but I was wrong. When we were out together hanging around one day. She confessed that she liked me from before and after knowing me more over this years, she fell in love with me. I was surprised and talked to navya about it as she was the next sensible person after cabir to talk about this. Alya and mukti never liked Sara much as they thought that she was trying to take me away from them. Navya was a very good friend of Sara and they knew each other from earlier. Navya suggested me to tell Sara how I truly feel. When I did the same, sara asked me to give it a try atleast and if I still don't see any hope then she will move on. I couldn't say no to her and agreed. The event was around that time. It was a very big event. Navya was in the organising team. Sara took in the fashion event and we registered for music band. College was going to end in few months and we decided to tell our families about our passion for music if we win this event.",manik said her staring at nothing in particular.

Nandini stay still giving him his time.

His phone breaks his trance and he picks it up.

"Yes cabir,...... Can't it wait... I am in middle of something important..... Ohk I am coming....yeah she's with me. Bye.",manik said and cut the call.

"What happened?", nandini asked him.

"I don't know, cabir said he needs help and it's important and I need to come immediately. Knowing your brother, it must be something silly but I can't take the risk. Sorry.",manik said her.

"It's okay manik. I can wait.", nandini said him with a smile hiding her curiosity.

"I know u want to know what happened afterwards and trust me I wanted to tell u everything today but ur Bhai disturbed in the middle. I will meet u at night and tell u then. Now let's go and see the emergency of cabir.",manik said feeling guilty and stood up and holds his hand out for her.

She grabs it and stood next to him. He gives a small sad smile and turns to go but she pulls him closer and hugs him taking him by surprise.

He relaxes and wraps his hand around her.

"How do u always know, what I need before I ask u for it?",manik asked after a while, holding her tightly close to him, hiding his face in the crook of her neck.

"Its a secret, shshhhh.", nandini tells him leaning near his ear putting her finger on her lips and he chuckles and kisses her head.
