Steve's POV:

 [looking at a photo of Pierce] 

"This man declined the Nobel Peace Prize. He said, "Peace wasn't an achievement, it was a responsibility." See, it's stuff like this that gives me trust issues."  said Nick Fury 

"We have to stop the launch." said Natasha 

"I don't think the Council's accepting my calls anymore. " said Furt as he opens a case containing three chips

" What's that?" Said Sam 

 "Once the Helicarriers reach three thousand feet, they'll triangulate with Insight satellites becoming fully weaponized."

"We need to breach those carriers and replace their targeting blades with our own." said Nick

"One or two won't cut it. We need to link all three carriers for this to work, because if even one of those ships remains operational a whole lot of people are gonna die."

"We have to assume everyone aboard those carriers is HYDRA. We need to get pass them, insert the server blades, and maybe, just maybe, we can salvage what's left..." said Nick

" We're not salvaging anything. We're not just taking down the carriers, Nick, we're taking down SHIELD." I spoke 

 "SHIELD had nothing to do with it." said Nick

"You gave me this mission, this is how it ends. SHIELD's been compromised, you said so yourself. HYDRA grew right under your nose and nobody noticed."

 "Why do you think we're meeting in this cave? I noticed." asked Nick as I heard Stiles chuckle at what Nick said 

 "And how many paid the price before you did?"

"Look, I didn't know about Barnes... he is both your and stiles .weakness." said Nick

Suddenly Stiles speaks,"You know what Patchy I was starting to like you but now I just think you're a dickhead."

I was a little shocked Stiles said that but then again it's stiles and he tends to say what he wants.

 "Even if you have, would you have told me? Or would you have compartmentalized that too? SHIELD, HYDRA, it all goes." I said to Nick 

"He's right." said Hill 

Suddenly Fury looks at Natasha then Sam then finally Stiles.

"Don't look at me. I do what he does, just slower." said Sam

"Stevie is basically my little brother, of course, I am going with him, there is no need to question where my loyalties lay because it will always be with family."

 "Well... Looks like you're giving the orders now, Captain," said Nick

After the meeting with Fury and the others, I go outside to bridge and think back to the time when I was with Bucky.

FlashBack:

 Bucky after my mother's funeral.

"We looked for you after. My folks wanted to give you a ride to the cemetery." we walk towards my apartment 

" I know, I'm sorry. I just...kind of wanted to be alone."

 "How was it?" asked Bucky

 "It was okay. She's next to Dad." I said sadly 

 " I was gonna ask..."

 " I know what you're gonna say, Buck, I just..." I said 

"We can put the couch cushions on the floor like when we were kids. It'll be fun. All you gotta do is shine my shoes, maybe take out the trash." said Bucky as we get to the apartment door, I try to find my keys, Bucky kicks a brick aside, picks up the apartment keys from under it and gives it to me

"Come on."

"Thank you, Buck, but I can get by on my own." I told him

"The thing is, you don't have to.  I'm with you to the end of the line, pal." said Bucky 

Flash Back end:

I was brought out of my thoughts and notice Stiles there on the bridge with me zoning out... probably thinking about Bucky as well... I believe they loved each other but both of them never had the balls to ask each other out... that and the 1940's were not the best place for people in queer relationships.

 Stiles Pov:

I walked out of the meeting with Patchy to find Steve zoned out... probably thinking about Bucky. With the thought of bucky brought me into a flash back.

Flashback:

It was 1943 and I had saved about 500 men from Hydra and was now having drinks with Stevie and Bucky... my crush. In a Pub which the name of sounded like a strip club. After agaent Carter took Stevie away from Bucky and I we began to talk.

"Hey Jason, I have something to tell you."

"Sure, I am listening," I told him

" Well...a.." I watched as Bucky stubbled over this words

He sighed in defeat and said, "I realised when I was in Hydra's jaws that I really missed you and when we go our separate ways I feel like its the last time I will see you."

I have a feeling that wasn't what he wanted to say but it warmed my heart to know that he missed me as I missed him. 

"I have a feeling that wasn't what you wanted to say to me but how about when I see you again you tell me what you really wanted to say?" I said giving him a smirk before Holland bust into the Pub.

"Red, Gerneral when to see you... he has another mission for you."

I sighed in defeat, "I will see you around Bucky."

"How about when all of this is over we go get a drink?" Bucky asks

"Sounds like a date." I said to him before leaving the pub

Those words have haunted me for months... When I see you again.

Flash Back ended:

" He's gonna be there, you know?" said Sam

"I know." Stevie and I said at the same time

"Look, whoever he used to be, the guy he is now, I don't think he's the kind you save. He's the kind you stop."

"I don't know if I can do that." I said Steve as I just stay quiet 

"Well, he might not give you a choice. He doesn't know you." said Sam

"He will. Gear up, it's time." said Steve  as he turns and starts to walk off

"You gonna wear that?" Ask Sam and I

"No. If you're gonna fight a war, you gotta wear a uniform." said Steve with a smirk
