(I would appreciate it if you read all of this but if not just skip to the end if you are merely here for story progress. Which is understandable haha.)

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while but I'm happy to be back and I can explain why I've been gone for so long.

When I first started writing this story and as I progressed it, it was hard to write because of many things. First, I got unhealthily burnt out easily because of messed up things going on in home life. I didn't realize the messed up things back then because it was a daily and normal thing for my family.

And things got worse as years went by. It seemed something bad happened every year and it just dragged me down to a pit of darkness, sadness and rage. Then covid happened and made things that were already bad, worse.

I am happy to say I finally got out of that place and am working on my mental health. I am much happier and healthier and due to that I don't get burnt out as quickly. I hope y'all can forgive me for not updating a lot and I can't promise to do fast updates but I'll try. Just know I will do them somewhat spread apart for the sake of my mental health and trying not to get burnt out so breaks won't be as long. I also hope you guys can forgive me for ranting, I just felt after all this time my readers deserved an explanation for why updates are practically a year apart each. I am not looking for pity points.

Though I will say that this story has helped me a lot. I've written things before but never had the courage to post them online or even share it with the people close to me. What motivated me to write and post this story was because I had so many questions when I read other peoples fan fictions such as:

1. How does Link draw the four sword without Ganon being released like Vaati before?

2. How come Zelda is often put out or even the villain? (She's so kind (not a villain) and strong (not always a damsel in distress)!)

3. What is Shadow's past?

4. How does Shadow get back?

And much more that is too much to put in. But as you can probably tell, the lack of people being able to answer the first and second question is what inspired me to write this. No one else could answer some of these questions so I made my own.

And I couldn't be more glad that I wrote and posted this story. It made me so happy that even just a few people enjoyed something I wrote. I thought no one would read it because I wrote it for fun and as an escape. I even made a friend because of this story and that friend helped me in tough times, not letting me sink into darkness completely. So this story is special to me even though it's just a fan fiction.

I will add (for those who are curious or worried about story progress and consistency) that when I first started writing this I did summarize my long term plan for the story so I already know and am working on what I planned to come next. If that wording doesn't make sense what I mean is, I've already planned nearly all of the story (except for some near end bits but am working on that) and am writing + editing what I've planned.
