I'm not dead I'm drowning in work please don't one punch me I'm also stuffing my face with fruit roll-ups so I'll choke and die so that means no more story 030. Warning this is a long chapter.

The day started off fantastic. On your way to school some kids ran into you, knocking you into some fresh mud. You sigh, pushing the door open in complete irritation, almost hitting Ishigami in the back of the head. "(Y-Y/N)!" He squeaks in fear and shock. "Ah, sorry." You grunt, shutting the door behind you. "Uh, that a new fashion trend, (N/n)?" Fuji asks, sweat dropping. "Some kids knocked me into a puddle, so now I have to get the stupid stains out later, only a little irritated by the way." You respond, sliding your hand off the door and onto Ishigami's shoulder. "Sorry I scared you, Ishi." You add, giving him a small pat, then finally walking up to the table. "I-It's no problem, (Y/n), really!" Ishigami reassures, turning a soft pink. "Good to hear, if I gave you a heart attack I'd never leave your side for months." You dramatize with a charismatic grin. "Please give me a heart attack." Ishigami mutters under his breath. "What was that?" Fuji asks, looking over to Ishi. "Hm?" He hums, turning brighter.

You place your bag on the table softly, unzipping it. Fuji smiles and throws her arms over your shoulders, blowing hot air onto your arm. "What's in the bag?!" She asks just as excitedly as she was curious. "Just getting some new clothes, I'll just use my gym clothes since I don't want to be doused in mud." You chuckle, nudging her slightly. "Anything eeeelse?" She asks hopefully, making you snicker. "Oh I dunno. Was I supposed to pack something else?" You tease, taking out the gym clothes. "Aww." She huffs sadly, crossing her arms and plopping onto the couch. You laugh, pulling out your Nintendo Switch. "I didn't forget dummy, I'm mean not forgetful." You joke, handing her the game. She gasps happily, taking the Switch from your hands gently. "Thanks (Y/n)!" She cheers, immediately firing up Animal Crossing New Horizons. You laugh, relaxing your shoulders. "No need to thank me." You respond walking back up to the doors. Shiro looks up briefly, locking his eyes with yours. You give a soft smile before leaving, making his heart beat fasten.

"Wonder how mere kids managed to push her over like that, right into mud too. It rained like a day ago." Kaguya huffs, crossing her arms stubbornly. "Maybe they were playing a game and ran into her, besides what's your deal?" Ishigami asks monotonously, tapping away on his laptop. "What is that supposed to mean?" Kaguya asks intimidatingly. Ishigami squeaks, continuing to type. "Nothing!" He exclaims, hoping she wouldn't murder him. Shirogane tapped his chin with a pen, glancing at the door every now and then.  After a couple minutes you reopen the door, holding the muddy uniform. "Ah, that's better." You grin, closing the door again. You were wearing shorts, a tank top, and a (f/c) jacket over your shoulders. Ishigami openly stared, his eyes were almost unreadable if his face weren't red. Shirogane kept his composure, staring at his papers when he made eye contact too long.

Fujiwara looks up with bright eyes and runs up to you with the Switch with a big smile. "(Y/n)! I finally paid off my debt!" She exclaims happily, making you laugh. "Ready for a house upgrade?" You ask, making her nod happily. She recently upgraded from her tent, she's loved the game ever since you showed it to her. "(Y/n), have you ever thought about the consequences of giving Fujiwara your games?" Shiro asks, raising a brow. "There are none, of course! Fujiwara and I hang out quite often, and since her parents don't want to get her a Switch, I'm letting her play on mine." You respond with a smile. "Yeah! Why would it be a bad thing Mr. President?" Fuji asks, pouting. "Well you're sort of clumsy." Ishigami states, breaking his gaze with you. You sneak behind the couch and pinch both of his cheeks softly. "Yeah, well, you also don't know how to keep your thoughts to yourself and blurt out pervy things mister!" You tease, making his face more red. "W-W-What?! N-No!" Ishigami stammers, shaking your hands off his face. "Haha! Not wrong!" Fuji laughs, kicking back on the couch. You smile placing your hands on your hips, giving a lighthearted laugh. "(Y/n), don't you think you're too...open?" Kaguya asks, looking towards you tiredly.

"Hm?" You hum, glancing over to her. "Touching others so shamelessly, how many have you done that to?" Kaguya asks, a dull look in her critical eyes. You felt both shocked and betrayed by her comment, what did she mean? Why would she say that? "Um...well no one really." You respond awkwardly. "Ishigami's just super easy to fluster, it's fun. Maybe you should learn to live a little. So don't be a party pooper, huh?" You reply blandly. "Party pooper? What kind of child slang is that?" Kaguya insults. "At least (Y/n) can be herself, Shinomiya, you're always hiding from us, we're your friends y'know." Shiro states, trying to help you. She turned to him shocked, and you sigh, scratching the back of your neck. "Ehhh, so now what?" You ask, sweat dropping. Fuji pulls you next to her, stars in her eye. "Look at this cutie I found stranded!" Fuji exclaims, showing you the cat she was fond of. "Ah I see! Did you ask them to move in?" You ask. "I can do that?!" She exclaims happily. "Yeah talk to them for a bit." You laugh, as she excitedly rushes around in-game. "(Y/n), do you play any online games at home?" Ishigami asks, making Shirogane's eyes dart up. His thought process begins to run as you turn towards him. If he's asking if she plays online games, he must be asking to interact with her for a day, given he plays games all weekend and all day. I'll have to one-up him if I want (Y/n)'s attention. "Not much, I don't really like talking to others. I do play a few good games though." You respond, crossing your arms. "That's when I'm free at least. I do studying, then sometimes I work at an animal shelter." You state, smiling.

"Aw do you work with cute puppies and kitties?!" Fuji asks with a big happy smile. "Commonly, yes." You reply, giggling at her reaction. Shiro's eyes light up at the mention of kitties. "That's sweet, what do you do at the shelter? Do you just look after the animals?" Ishi asks, looking over at you with interest. Shiro's train of thought was broken and he turned to Ishi with somewhat of a glare. Sweet? Ishigami is much more brave than I remember, this might be harder than I thought, I can't lose! "Ah, yes, I tend to the animals food, water, beds, and I bathe them." You beam, giving a very happy smile. "Aren't you afraid one will be hostile?" Kaguya asks, tilting her head.

"Well, that's what you have to expect. Abandoned animals or abused animals are hard to work with sometimes, so of course they'll naturally be afraid or on edge. So I have to warm up to them to make them happy and healthy." You reply, the energy never left. "Has an animal ever died in your care?" Kaguya asks curiously, making your playful eyes sadden. You were silent for a second and your hands balled up into fists. "A kitten." You start, making Shiro's eyes soften as his eyes dart from Ishigami to you. "Her name was Fluffy. She was bit by a coyote, so there was a little hope. I helped her recover, but she died from tetanus, the cage they put her in was rusty." You respond sadly, shaking your head. Fujiwara looks up at you sadly, pausing the game. "Are you okay, (Y/n)?" She asks, seeing your fists tremble slightly. "I'm fine, just need to go for a small walk." You respond, heaving a big sigh after. "I'll go with you." Ishigami offers, standing up. "I need to stretch my legs anyway." He adds, walking up to you. "Sure." You smile, walking out with him.

Once you two get far enough from the council, Ishigami looks down at you. "(Y/n), do you ever get fed up with her?" He asks, looking back up. "Kaguya?" You respond, and he nods. "Of course, I don't even know what I did to deserve her hatred. She despises me and never gave me a reason why." You sigh in frustration, leaning against the wall. He stops too, standing in front of you. "So you just let her talk to you that way?" He asks worriedly. "It's not like I want her to, I just don't know how to tell her to stop." You reply, then shake your head. "It's fine though, it's not like it matters all that much." You add, standing up straight.

Ishigami blushes, then scratches the back of his neck. "Hey...(Y/n). I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this weekend, y'know, and play games and such. Not online but, maybe I can come over and bring some games you'd like." Ishigami asks coyly, looking away. "I can't make any promises, but I'd like that!" You smile, making him sigh in relief. "Text me if you have time, oh, here's my number." Ishigami requests, then trades numbers with you. "Let's head back, I've cooled off a lot thanks to you." You chuckle, turning back towards the council. "It's no problem." Ishigami smiles, scratching the back of his neck. You sigh, pushing open the door, feeling better.

"Welcome back!" Fujiwara exclaims, waving. "You were gone for quite some time. You weren't doing anything PDA related, right? No kissing or hand holding?" Kaguya asks. Shirogane's eyes shot up and his grip visibly tightened on his pen. Ishigami was flailing his arms, stammering and stuttering over himself. "No, nothing like that. We just had a calm conversation, that required zero sass and nosey questions." You giggle, looking over to a flushed Ishigami. "What are you inferring, (Y/n)?" Kaguya asks with sharp eyes. "Nothing, nothing at all." You reply lightly, giving a cat-like smile.

You sit next to Fuji, leaning back. "Anyway, anything new, Fujiwara?" You ask, relaxing. "I caught a shark!" She exclaims, making your eyes widen. "Did you sell it?" You ask. "Well, does it need to be donated?" She asks, pursing her lips. You continue to give her small tutorials, such as the small owl symbol next to the critters names. Kaguya just glares at you, crossing her arms and huffing. "Thanks (Y/n)!" Fuji thanks happily, humming with your singing villagers. "It's no problem." You hum happily. Soon enough, time passed quickly, until it was just you and Shiro.

"(Y/n)?" Shiro asks, standing up. "Hm?" You hum, putting your battery drained console away. "If...Shinomiya bothers you, I'll tell her to stop." Shiro offers, looking over to you. You were silent for a second, then sigh. "If you can tell her to stop berating me, then sure." You nod, standing up. "When are you heading home?" You ask, turning to him. "O-Oh, I was just staying behind since you haven't left yet." He replies, avoiding eye contact. "That's sweet of you, I usually walk home, since I don't live too far." You state as he gets up, a bit too quickly. He walks over to you, trying to cover up his new enthusiasm. You stifle your laughter, covering your mouth.

"How far do you live?" Shirogane asks, now calmly strolling next to you. "Eh, I'll give you the directions as we go." You shrug. "Well, you can always ride my bike with me, instead of walking." He suggests. "Sure, just don't wreck." You sweat drop, making him huff. "I'm not bad." He replies, crossing his arms. You laugh, pushing the door open. "I wouldn't doubt you for a second Miyuki." You chuckle, making his face flush. You both hop on his bike and he sets off to your humble abode.

It was a nice ride, feeling the calm breeze while watching the scenery. It was a short ride, but a wonderful one. Once Shiro stops, he sighs, manning up. You hop off, but before you good say thanks, you notice the expression on his face. "Something wrong?" You ask, hoping it wasn't you. "I-I was wondering, do you have w-work this weekend?" He asks nervously. "Ah, maybe. Was there something you needed?" You reply, giving a warm smile. "Well...I was wondering if I could help you, and if you don't work, maybe we can study." He offers, scratching the back of his neck avoiding your gaze. "How about, if I happen to be free, I'll text you. If not, maybe we can hang out some other time." You suggest and he smiles widely, giving you a small nod. Once you exchange numbers, you bid goodbye and he returns to his own home.

But now you have to decide who you'll hang out with. Guess you'll have to decide when the weekend comes.

Once Friday ends, you lean back into your couch, glancing between Shiro and Ishi's contacts.

Shirogane Route:

You give in to the kitten lover, deciding to search for any animals that could be stray today. You send Shiro a text, as well as Ishi. "I'm working today, sorry Ishi." You send to the gamer boi. It doesn't take him long to text you back. "It's fine, there's always next time." He responds. It doesn't take Shiro very long to peddle to your house, he either doesn't live very far or he's bolting sanic speeds down the street. He knocks on your door, so you welcome him with open arms. "Welcome back." You greet, moving to the side. He walks in, noticing no one else was present. "Do you not live with your parents?" He asks, glancing back at you. "I live in this small house alone, my parents told me I need to learn how to take care of myself, now that I have somewhat of a job. But they still baby me so, I don't know how that works." You reply, and he chuckles.

"Any plans?" He asks, standing awkwardly, which is as much as you expected from him. The only difference was he was in casual wear, such as a t-shirt and sweat pants. "I thought we'd search the area for strays, maybe even keep a kitten for ourselves!" You exclaim happily. Shiro's thought process fired up again, and he pinched his chin. If she wants to keep a kitten for the both of us....is that like parenting?! As he falls deeper into thought, you just calmly stand in front of him, watching how many shades of red he can turn.

"We won't find any strays in my house, Miyuki." You speak up, watching him jump at the sound of your voice. "R-Right!" He exclaims, making you laugh. You open the door and he follows you out. The whole walk, you and Shiro talked about a wide variety of topics, just basic things to know each other better. "If we do find a kitten, what should we name it?" You ask, looking under an abandoned car. "E-Eh?" He stammers, getting flustered again. "I think it depends on the breed though, huh? And the culture the breed comes from." You continue, peering inside the car. "I guess we'll have to see." Shiro replies, trying to cool off his face.

"Yeah." You agree, walking away from the car. Before you both call it quits, you search an alleyway, which was incredibly moist. Like, humid moist. "This alley reeks, should we be here?" Shiro asks, pinching his nose shut. You were used to this smell, it smelled like a dirty, feral animal basically. "Probably not." You reply, trying to avoid touching the nasty alleyway garbage. It was also starting to get cloudy, which might mean it rains and everyone's night is ruined for whomever overstays the outside. "(Y/n), we should go soon, I'd hate for you to catch a cold if it rains." Shiro advises. "Alright, this is the last Alleyway." You reply. Before the end of the alley, there was a small muddy kitten that was barely old enough to walk. It was the only one, so it might've been left behind. The kitten was too muddy, making it's fur to heavy for it to walk at all. You rush to the smol creature, carefully examining it for any injuries before you touch it.

"Is it...still alive?" Shiro asks, looking away. You press you pointer finger and middle finger on the cat softly, searching for a pulse or breathing, but it mewls in surprise, beginning to shake. "It's alive, let's get it back home quickly." You state, pulling your hoodie off, using it to carry the kitten. You leave the musty area, returning home with a new companion.

You get home and you treat the small kitten, it didn't have any injuries, so all you had to do was vaccinate it because that's what intelligent species to to newborns. "We can bring him to a vet tomorrow." You smile as the kitten was finally able to walk now. You could also see the actual color of the fur now, and it was a light grey kitten with darker grey spots. Shiro sits next to you, watching the kitten explore your small house. "Why don't we name him Moon?" Shiro requests as the kitten pounces in his foot. "Moon. Is this because of your infatuation with astronomy?" You giggle, and he blushes. "U-Um, yeah, and the color of his fur is grey with darker spots, so I thought of the moon." He replies, pushing his fingers together. You pick up Moon, placing him on the couch between you, scratching behind his ears. "That's a wonderful name, Miyuki. Very fitting." You confirm warmly Moon lies down due to your soft fingers massaging his fur.

Miyuki pets the kitten softly as well, feeling his heart beat quicken once more. "I can help pitch in some money for cat food and whatnot. I don't want you to take care of him on your own." Shiro offers as Moon licks his hand. "Well, that's up to you, I'm going shopping tomorrow, I was hoping you'd come over tomorrow, too." You reply, making his face warm up again. "O-Of course!" He exclaims, waking up Moon, also earning a sassy meow. You laugh wholeheartedly, then lean on his shoulder. "Thanks for making this one of my best weekends ever. And for saving a life." You thank, making his face redden more. "Same here, I probably would've studied all day. Of course there's nothing wrong with studying!" He corrects himself. "Don't talk about studying on the weekend that hurts my soul." You whine, making him chuckle. He continues letting you lean on him, then takes a deep breath as rain starts to fall.

"(Y/n)?" He asks, a little quieter than he would've liked. "Hm?" You hum. "Remember the first day you showed up, and a dog followed you into the council?" He asks with a small smile. "Haha, yeah. And you guys helped me hide him so he wasn't sent away." You giggle, closing your eyes. "I didn't know you saved animals at the time, but I admired how much you loved animals. That was the first time I started wanting to know you more. Being with you here and now, I hope we can share these moments for a long time to come." He says softly, staring at Moon. You glance up at his red face, then giggle, interlocking your hand with his. "Then let's." You reply, making him smile widely.

Ishigami's Route:

You look outside at the dark clouds. "Yeah, I'm too lazy to work today." You grunt, clicking on Ishigami's contact. "Or study." You add, texting Gamer Boi. "What kind of games do you plan on bringing?" You text, before he responds you text Shiro. "Sorry Shiro, Ishigami asked to hang out earlier today when we went for a walk." You apologize. By then Ishigami sent a list of games in which you had to plug in different consoles for him. Shiro texts back soon enough and you look down at your phone. "I hope we'll have another chance to hang out then." Is all he texted back. You text Ishi your address, getting some snacks ready as well. By the time you had soda and snacks ready, there was a knock, and you raced to the door. "Hey Yu!" You greet, making his face redden at the sudden greeting. "Hey (Y/n)." He smiles as you stand aside, welcoming him in.

He was impressed by the organized shelf of games you had next to the TV, it had older games for the GameCube and even PS1. "I had a small taste for the old school games." You grin, closing the door. He put his backpack down and smiles back. "Maybe we can play some." He suggests. "Sure if the GameCube still functions." You sweat drop. "Haven't played it in a while, huh?" Ishigami asks, unzipping his bag. He notices the snacks on the table and sweat drops. "Did you make all of this before I came over?" He asks, taking out some games. "Yeah, you're gonna be here for a while right? Why not prepare some snacks for a long day?" You beam, flopping on the couch.

Ishigami just chuckles at your actions, taking the time to notice some other things. "Is no one home?" He asks curiously. "I'm home." You cat smile. "N-No I mean like, you live by yourself?" He asks. "Yeah, my parents to,d me I need to learn how to take care of myself since I have a job now and whatnot, but they still baby me, which is kinda counterproductive." You grunt, making him laugh. "It's fine though, lonely, but livable." You add. "Well, I don't mind coming over more often." He offers. "I may take up that offer to get away from this crippling loneliness." You pout, making him chuckle more. You sit up and he sits next to you, showing you a few games. So, like a gamer would, you played games for hours on end.

"Dude you have so many Lynel Bows." Ishigami awes at your Breath of the Wild inventory. "I know. I'm awesome." You boast happily. "I'm impressed, I didn't think you had the guts." He compliments/insults. "Was?! What makes you think I didn't have guts?" You huff, pinching his cheeks again. He squeaks, being your target yet again. "S-Sorry!" He apologizes, making you laugh. "Is it because it seems like I don't play games?" You ask. "Yeah, I thought you didn't really have time for them, and you've never mentioned them besides Animal Crossing, but that was for Fujiwara." Ishigami nods, rubbing his face.

"Yeah, I play a mixture of games, I just don't tell anyone because they call me Gamer Girl and I feel like that's too close to Twitch Thot." You states making Ishigami chortle. "Wow okay." He musters through a big smile. The gaming continues until it gets late, which Ishigami panics at the time. You watch him flail like a fish out of water, then decided you were satisfied with the amusing amount of flailing. "You can always stay the night, Ishi." You offer, then you got to watch his face redden. The dark shade of red was quite impressive. "But...where would I sleep?" He asks, avoiding your gaze. "I have an extra room. I was going to turn it into a studio but I don't really need one per say. I have a computer that fits in my room." You state. "Oh, that's convenient." He smiles, still red in the face. "Definitely." You nod in agreement. Before you could continue gaming, there was a yelp outside, making Ishi jump. "What was that?!" He squeaks, frozen in a spooked pose. Sort of like when you scare a cat and it gets stuck to the roof but Ishigami was stuck to the floor.

"It sounds like an animal, let's see if it's still around." You state, grabbing a flashlight. "What if it's feral and rabid?!" He asks fearfully. "I've dealt with worse." You respond, but bring some back up gear in case it was hostile. You peer out the door, it was foggy and humid due to the rain. "Geez it's eerie out." Ishigami whispers, staying close behind you. "Man up, ya baby." You giggle, walking out. "Baby?" He pouts, making you snicker. You search around the house, but nothing was found. "Huh, must've left already." You say, about to leave. There was another familiar yelp across the road, making Ishigami squeak again. You give him a tired glance, then grab his hand. "Dummy." You smile as you feel his grip loosen a bit. He follows you, although he was still reluctant. "Is this safe?" He asks quietly. "Oh no. This is the opposite." You reply, not reassuring him at all. "W-What?! Why are we doing this then?!" He whines. "To save a lost animal, what if it's hurt?" You ask, following the whimpering. "I mean..." Ishigami starts, then sighs, just letting you win.

You find a wounded dog, it wasn't a newborn puppy, but it was still very young. Its leg was very noticeably broke, with blood stains covering most of the foot, ankle, and shin. It was dragging its leg, only being able to move at a turtles pace. "Oh geez." You sigh, approaching slowly. It helps, stumbling at the sight of two large, dark masses. You take out some ham slices, offering them to the animal. It hesitantly sniffs at the air, accepting your offering. Ishigami watches you carefully, he couldn't help but smile at your determination. The dog was too tired to move, so you slowly reached towards it, giving it light pats. It whines, so you feed it a little more before picking it up. "There there." You whisper to the pup. "Let's go, Yu." You smile, he takes the flashlight, illuminating the way forward.

He helps you bathe the dog and dry it off. From the looks of it, it was an English Mastiff, still small for its kind. "She's gonna get big." You grunt, wrapping her leg up. "What are you gonna do with her?" Ishigami asks. "Well, I want to keep her, we didn't even have to search for an animal and I found some work." You chuckle, then turn to him. "Plus, this is the first animal we found together, even though you were a big baby about it!" You tease. "Oh c'mon! Dogs are pretty scary sometimes you know?" He whines. You pick up the pup, it was surprisingly light for a Mastiff. "So, you're going to keep her?" Ishi asks. You place the pup on the floor, she had dark yellow fur with dark brown ears, the tip of her tail was brown and her snout was black. "Of course, we can take her to the vet tomorrow, okay?" You reply. "Sounds good, but she needs a name." Ishi smiles. "Hm, what do you think?" You ask, sitting down.

"How about Sunny?" He asks. "Sunny?" You ask. "Mhm." Ishi hums. "Sunny....sounds pleasant." You chuckle, patting Sunny's head softly. "I should come over and play games more often, but uh, let's not adopt every animal we save." Ishi sweat drops, making you laugh. "I'm an animal saver not a crazy zoo keeper." You joke, making him smile. "(Y/n)?" Ishigami asks. "Hm?" You hum, looking at him with a bright smile. "You...wanna know why I came up with Sunny?" He continues. "Why's that?" You ask, watching his face redden. "Well, because Sunny's our ray of sunshine, and you're my ray of sunshine, the first day you showed up and Kaguya introduced you, you seemed so ambitious for a better future, even though your mini speech was interrupted by a dog that followed you to school." He smiles, avoiding eye contact. "That day, when I helped you hide that huge canine, I couldn't help but look back and laugh at the moments we didn't realize we shared, so...I was wondering." He takes a deep breath. "Will you be my sunshine?" He asks, blushing profusely. Honestly, you'd think he'd faint from the blood rush. "Of course, Yu. As long as you'll be mine."
