Is it hate or love- Jenna Ortega

As you danced with Emma the loud music drowned out the conversations around you. It was Emma's birthday and she had invited a lot of people to your guy's apartment, there was dancing and drinking and a lot of dumb decisions being made.

"You having fun?" Emma asked as the two of you danced, the heat of the room causing some disorientation.

"You bet," you smiled, looking back at her. As the two of you spun around the room, someone caught your eye, causing you to immediately stop and take a closer look.

Jenna.

"Emma, is that who I think it is?" You asked, your previous joy being quickly replaced by a tone of anger. She followed your line of sight until her eyes fell on the small girl, a look of guilt on her face.

"Oh, uhm, yeah." She said innocently, grabbing some punch from the table next to you guys and extending her arm to hand you a cup. You looked the small brunette girl up and down, and she must have felt your gaze on her because she turned, making eye contact with you at once. Her face distorted from one of contentment to pure hatred.

"Why is she here?" You asked, grabbing the punch from Emma's hand and taking a sip. The girl in front of you cowered a bit at your words, so you softened your tone, knowing it wasnt her fault. "I just didnt expect to see her." You said, giving emma a small reassuring smile.

"Oh well she was in the cast group chat," she said, sipping her drink to avoid having to look you in the eyes. "I sent the invite and then realised she would see it. But I couldnt just un invite her." It was true, it would have been wrong for Emma to un invite Jenna just because you didnt like her. But it still didnt mean you were happy about her being there.

"Okay, well I might go to my room in a few," you said reluctantly, hoping that Emma wouldn't be mad at you, or even sad that you wanted to leave. She opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by none other than Jenna.

"Hey Em!" She smiled, walking over to the two of you and completely ignoring your existence. She hugged the other girl and continued to speak. "I just wanted to come over and say happy birthday, and that I'm glad you invited me." As the small brunette girl spoke you chugged the rest of your punch, the alcohol burning your throat as it went down. You were really never one to drink alcohol, but tonight just might be the night. Without another glance in their direction you scoffed and walked away, knowing that Jenna would just try to piss you off if you had stayed over there. As you were heading toward the hallway, you ran into someone, toppling the two of you over.

"Oh god I'm so sorry," you muttered, standing up and trying to pull her with you. You had never seen this girl before, but she was really pretty. "I wasnt looking where I was going." The girl smiled at you, she was actually very beautiful, she started to speak, but just like earlier with Emma, Jenna cut her off.

"Clearly," she scoffed, looking right at you as she swirled her cup of punch, "you're always so clumsy y/n." She hissed, a condescending smile on her face. You looked at her with a sharp glare, the poor girl who you had knocked over was just standing there, watching the entire conversation.

"Well hello to you too Jen," you smiled, knowing she hated the nickname you gave her. Her cocky smile turned into a frown as you said those words, a barely noticeable blush forming on her cheeks. "If you will excuse me, I'm gonna get more to drink." You scoffed, pushing past her and heading toward the table. As soon as you got there you grabbed another cup and filled it with whatever alcohol was sitting on the table.

"Oh, you didnt leave! Yay!" You heard from behind you, turning to see Emma skipping closer. You smiled at her, forgetting that you were planning on leaving just a few minutes ago, but at this point, you might as well stay.

"Eh, I changed my mind, I love you too much to just leave." You said, hugging her tightly, "I mean come on, it's your birthday." You felt her relax a little as she processed that you werent going to leave. Even if you wanted to leave, you lived here. You could sit in your room all by yourself, but that is just depressingly lonely. "However I might have to get pretty drunk if you dont want me to be in a bad mood," you admitted, motioning to the cup in your hand.

"Well, then let's do this," she said, reaching behind you to the table. She poured some more alcohol into your cup, giving you a large smile. "Drink up!"

The room around you was a little fuzzy, everyone was drunk and dancing, including you. You were scanning the room for anyone you knew that you could dance with, but you couldnt find anybody. So you decided that dancing with a total stranger was fine. You walked up behind a small brunette girl, leaning down to talk to her.

"Wanna dance?" You yelled over the music, not even sure who you were talking to. She spun around to face you, and you immediately regretted ever speaking. Jenna.

"You wanna dance with me?" She asked, being about as tipsy as you were. You were both very clearly confused on why you had asked her. To be fair, you had no clue that it was her when you asked, but you couldnt tell her that.

"Uhm... yeah." You hesitated, hoping that she wouldnt laugh in your face. She just gave you a confused smile, before taking your hand and dragging you toward where the other people were dancing.

Before you had a chance to process what she was doing, she had her back to you, swaying her body to the music. As if on instinct you placed your hands on her waist, pulling her a little bit closer to you as you danced, her hands reaching up and looping behind your neck. This was really confusing to you. I mean just an hour ago, the idea of being this close to one another would have made the two of you pissed off. But now it's like you cant get enough. After a solid ten minutes of doing this, she suddenly stopped, grabbing your hand and dragging you toward the empty hallway where you and Emma's bedrooms were.

"What are ya doing Jen?" You asked quickly, following the small girl as she dragged you. She suddenly spun around to face you, pushing your body to lean against the hallway wall. "Jenna?" You asked, looking into her eyes. Where the soft brown color had once been was now filled with dark black pupils full of lust.

"Just shut up and kiss me." She breathed out, her words being foreign and soft. However, without a moment of hesitation, you leaned forward and placed your hands back on her waist, connecting your lips with hers.

It was a different feeling. I mean obviously you had kissed people before, so that wasnt new. But it was different with her, it felt strange, and soft, and right. You pulled her closer to you as her hands cupped your face. Your lips were crahsing against one anothers as the music from the party filled your ears. You had no clue how this had happened or why she had suddenly changed her feelings toward you, but you didnt care right now.

You were pulled out of your thoughts as she tugged on the bottom of your shirt, trying to pull you farther down to her. You parted your lips to speak.

"Are you on your tip toes?" You asked her, turning your head to the side to see her feet. She was in fact standing as tall as she could on her toes trying to reach you.

"If you werent so tall I wouldnt have to." She frowned, her hands moving from your face to your neck. You giggled at her words before crouching down a bit to kiss her again. Her lips were sweet and soft, her hands rubbing the hairs on the back of your neck. She suddenly let go of you completely, walking farther down the hallway, and before you could process what she was doing, she opened your bedroom door and went in.

You followed quickly, wondering why she had suddenly dont this. But the second you stepped through the door to your room, it slammed shut. You turned just as Jenna came back to you, kissing you quickly and passionately.

"Jen, what are you doing?" You said between kisses as she pulled herself closer to you. She just looked into your eyes, her body full of lust

"I need you."

You woke to the sunlight blinding you, the smell of Jenna's perfume covering your sheets. You looked around suddenly as you remembered the events of last night, and the small girl was no where to be seen.

"Shit," you whispered to yourself, getting out of your bed to put some clothes on. But to your confusion, you found Jenna's clothes still laying on your floor. You thought nothing of it as you slipped on some sweatpants and a t-shirt, preparing yourself to walk in the kitchen. "Hey Em?" You called out as you walked out of your room.

"I'm in the kitchen with-" she began, but she stopped midway through her sentence.

"With?" You repeated, hoping it would encourage a response, but still no answer. "Em?" You asked as you rounded the corner to the kitchen, but then you felt an arm tug on yours.

You were spun around suddenly, your eyes meeting with Jenna's. And to your suprise, she grabbed you by your shirt and pulled you toward her, kissing you passionately.

"What?" Emma said suddenly, pulling you off of Jenna and looking between the two of you. "I thought you like hated each other." She said, a shocked expression taking place on her face. You looked back at Jenna to see her response, and that is when you noticed she was wearing your shirt, a grin on her face.

"It seems y/n here had a change of heart," Jenna said cockily, her brown hair falling neatly over her shoulders.

"Nope, I still hate you," you smiled, brushing a peice of her hair behind her ear as you spoke.

"Well I guess you're just going to have to get over that, cuz you're mine now." She whispered, tugging on your shirt yet again and kissing you. You smiled into the kiss as your hand settled on her cheek, your pinky grazing her jawline.

"Okay I'm happy for you guys but please stop before I barf." Emma said, a playful tone in her voice as she sipped her morning tea. The three of you laughed, ignoring the huge question that hing in the air...

Is it hate, or love?
