Chapter Twenty-Two

PETER'S POV

As soon as everyone was ready we all headed out to where the battle with the White Witch would commence.  I had an whole entire army right behind Oreius and I, as I sat on a white unicorn I looked to my left and saw Oreius standing there with a sad look in his eyes. I knew that he too also misses Nala since he has seen Nala grow up in Narnia for a while but not too long ago to only see her again but only to hear that she has died along with Aslan, it hit deeply in all of Narnia's heart that their beloved king and daughter have died the night before the battle.

"They come, Your Highness, in numbers and weapons far greater than our own." The scout said as soon as he landed.

"Numbers do not win a battle." Oreius said.

"No. But I bet they help." I said as we all heard a noise.

I watched from our spot as the White Witch turned up with her army, and riding in a carriage pulled by two polar bears. I turned around and looked up at Ed and saw him already looking down at me and gave a nod before I faced forwards again. And pulling out my sword from my waist making all of the Narnian's around me to start cheering and blowing into the horns. I watched as they started to run towards us making me use the signal for the Griffins to take to the sky and attack from above.

"Are you with me?" I asked looking at Oreius.

"To the death." Oreius replied before looking forwards.

"For Narnia and for Nala and Aslan!" I yelled before we all started to run towards the battle with all the Narnian's shouting along the lines of 'for Aslan and Nala!' or 'for Narnia!'

We all collided with the Witches army.

SUSAN'S POV

I woken up from lying on Nala's body and looked around and saw that it was slighter sunnier than it was not long ago. I really didn't want to leave Nala and Aslan and I'm pretty sure that Lucy didn't want to either. But we both couldn't stay here forever, since both of our brothers are in battle right now. I'm pretty sure that they have heard the news about Nala and Aslan being dead and everything, I know that Peter knowing of Nala's death would leave him heartbroken since I know that he loves her and I'm also pretty sure that Edmund would feel slightly sad about this but not as much as Peter would.

"We should go." I said looking over at Lucy before getting off of the table and walking over towards Lucy.

"I'm so cold." Lucy said as I helped her off of the table wrapping my arms around her in hopes of warming her up.

As we walked away from Nala and Aslan, we turned around one last time before sighing in sadness as we turned around again. But as soon as we took two steps forward the ground shook causing both Lucy and I to fall over.

"Susan!" Lucy exclaimed causing me to turn around and saw that where we left Nala and Aslan was but only to find that their bodies weren't there, but what remained was a crack table instead.

Both Lucy and I walked towards the table looking around for the two lions.

"Where's Aslan and Nala?" Lucy question.

"What have they done?" I asked confused.

Suddenly the sun started to get brighter making us look over towards the archway, but what we saw made both Lucy and I to gasp in surprise. There stood both Nala and Aslan looking down at us as if they weren't killed.

"Aslan! Nala!" Both Lucy and I yelled making them chuckle as we ran around the table and tackled the two lions in a hug.

"But we saw the knife. The Witch." I said confused.

"If the Witch knew the true meaning of sacrifice, she might have interpreted the Deep Magic differently." Nala said as we walked around the table. "When a willing victim who committed no treachery is killed in a traitor's stead, the Stone Table will crack and even death itself will turn backwards." Aslan finished off for Nala.

"We sent the news that both of you were dead. Peter and Edmund will have gone to war." I said causing Nala to look down with guilt in her eyes.

"Peter thinks I'm dead?" Nala asked still looking down at the ground, her ears pulled back. "He must be devastated." She finished.

"He'll be fine once he sees that your not dead. The boy is very fond of you Nala, and I'm pretty sure you do too." Aslan said causing me to smile, knowing that Nala also loves my brother.

"We have to help them." Lucy suddenly said as she quickly pulled out her dagger.

"We will, dear one, but not alone. Climb on our backs. We have far to go and little time to get there." Aslan said causing Lucy to get onto Aslan's back as I went onto Nala's back.

'Wow she's tall, I didn't expect her to be this tall.' I thought to myself as Nala stood back up after I got on get back.

"And you may want to cover your ears." Nala said, but as soon as she said that both Nala and Aslan let out an piercing roar before taking off.

NALA'S POV

It's good to be alive again after how many hours of being dead. I love the feeling of the wind blowing through my fur as we ran towards the she-devils castle to get all of the rest of Narnia, who are statues in the she-devils castle. I'm pretty sure that dad would do that, since dad hasn't taught me anything yet, but if I'm 100% it'll come to me.

"Where are we going?" Susan asked as we ran past trees.

Dad and I ignored the comment and continue to run towards the castle. We soon made it into the castle were I let Susan get off of my back. Around us was statues of Narnian's everywhere, it really angered me to know that my people have suffered and are in this type of state. A statue seemed to have caught Lucy's eye since she ran in a certain direction with Susan and I at her heels. As we made it to the statue we saw that it was the statue of Mr Tumnus, making Lucy and I to gasp. Lucy started to cry as she saw her friend in a state like this while Susan hugged her, dad came over and breathed on him. When dad breathed on Mr Tumnus I knew from then that the she-devils powers where fading. Mr Tumnus then became a breathing being again but staggered a bit and fell into Lucy's arm causing them to laugh.

"Susan this is.." Lucy started to introduce Mr Tumnus but Susan interrupted.

"Mr Tumnus." Susan said as she walked over towards the two and hugged both of them causing me to smile from where I was standing which was next to my dad.

"Come, we must hurry and search the castle." Dad said causing them to look over at us, causing Susan and Lucy to turn around and see that most of the people are their original selves again.

"Peter will need everyone we can find." I said smiling as we all went around and turned the rest of the statues back to themselves.

PETER'S POV

"STOP!" I shouted at Oreius and a rhino but it was useless as they both ran towards the Witch, I knew what was going to happen so I tired to stop it but it happened anyway. The Witch has turned Oreius into stone with her ice spear thing.

I stared in horror as I looked around, Narnian's were being beaten by the Witches army, everywhere that I look I saw dead bodies of Narnian's, making me slightly upset knowing that I'm doing a bad job at this. I turned around and searched for Edmund, after a while I spotted him.

"Edmund!" I yelled causing him to finish off the Minotaur that he was fighting and look at me. "There's too many! Get out of here! Get the girls and get them home!" I yelled but I saw a Minotaur coming at me with his ax raised to hit me but I raised my shield up and blocked his attack.

After a while of fighting with Nala on my mind, since I'm doing this for her because I love her I would do anything for her. I saw a bright light making me turn around just in time to see the Witch stab Edmund making me stare wide eyes at the scene in front of me. Time seemed to have slowed down as I shouted out for Edmund but I couldn't hear myself yell out his name. I watched as Edmund fell to the ground making angry course through my veins as I saw that he fell and it was because of the Witches fault.

After stabbing a Minotaur and killing it, I ran straight towards the Witch. As I ran towards her I fought all of the enemies that tried to stop me as I made it to her. Making it to her I swung my sword towards her but she parried with my sword. She swiped my cheek making me fall to the ground but as she swung down at me I dodged her and stood back up and fought with her some more. We were about to parry each other when I heard two loud roars causing us to stop and look up and see two lions..... wait two lions? I thought there was only Aslan as the only lion..... Oh well not going to question it.

"Impossible." I heard the Witch mutter as she stared at the two lions in shock making me suddenly swipe at her in anger as I knew that it was he who killed Aslan and the girl who I loved so dearly.

After a while the Witch managed to knock me off my feet making me fall on my back with a loud thud. She then stabbed the sword straight through my right sleeve but missing my arm. She was about to take the final blow but was stopped by something or someone knocking her away a few yards away from me. Looking over I saw that that it was the mysterious lioness. I watched as Aslan walked over towards the mysterious lioness and took care of the Witch, watching as the mysterious lioness walked over towards me and pulled the sword from my sleeve before chuckling, only then did I realized it was a female.

"Peter!" I heard Lucy yelled out making the mysterious lioness and I to look over towards my sister and see that she was looking worried at me as she tried looking for someone or something.

"Where's Edmund?" She asked.

Shit! I knew that I slightly forgot something. Running over towards where Edmund is I saw a dwarf standing over Edmund about to kill him but Susan shot the dwarf killing him before we all ran towards him. I watch as Lucy unscrew her cordial and put a few drops of the liquid into Edmund's mouth, waiting for a second he shot up making us pull him into a bone crushing hug.

"When are you gonna learn to do as you're told?" I joked causing Edmund to smile before we all hugged again.

As we broke apart we watched Aslan and the mysterious lioness walk up towards a statue and Aslan breathed on it causing the Narnian's to turn back to the way he was, back alive. Lucy then looked down at her cordial and had a small smile before suddenly running off and healing all of the statues.

"That was eventful." A voice said causing all of us to look at the mysterious lioness. Her voice sounded a lot like Nala's.

"How so Nala?" Susan asked causing Edmund and I to gasp as we stared wide eyes at Nala.

"I dunno, but it was an eventful week, I mean from dying to being resurrected and finally taking down the she-devil but most of all, being returned to the one I love." The mysterious lion... I mean Nala said as she looked at me at the end.

"Nala?" I questioned as I took a step forward towards her making her nod her head.

"Yeah it's me." She said making me hug around her neck. Her fur brushing against me making me sigh, knowing that the girl I love is alive, even though she's a lion.

After a while I felt arms wrap around my neck causing me to pull away and look and saw that Nala wasn't in her lion form but back to the way she once was making me smile. I did something bashful but I don't think she seemed to care that I did it, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't care either, because it was something that I've always wanted to do even though our last one was out of sadness, but this one was out of pure love. And I'm happy to yell it to the world that I kissed the girl of my dreams, Nala.
